It looks so 80s.
Also I can’t remember what issue number this is off the top of my head but it’s one of the most expensive Wonder Woman comic books of that decade just because of the cover.
This has some reality in it. What we perceive as a decade really starts kind of 2 years before and ends 2 years before, or 2 years after both ways. Its more like we have an ideal of a decade, but in reality the between years are a different thing.
For example. Nu metal. Peak 1998 to 2002.
Baggy pants and all that. Then the 2000s stqrted with emo and stuff. But then, if the 80s ended in 92~, then the 90s are really 93-97. Basically 4 years.
And there are 2 90s, early 90s woth grunge and saved by the bell, and late 90s with nu metal and gansta rap, matrix and y2k paranoia.
Same can be said about the 80s and so.
The closer we are, the mpre difficult to see it. I think when things become retro, you can appreciate them better.
And as time passes, you compress hitory in your mind. Like, you read abput the middle ages. But maybe decade after decade there was tiny changes in fashion and music, that now we just clmpress as a whole century or millenium.
It is SUCH a dynamic design! It is one of the top costumes in comics ever in the company of such awesomeness as Spider-Woman and classic Storm costumes.
My favorite design of Diana of all time. I'm a sucker for big hair too. Which they would bring this design back for the current run. Not a fan of her Tom King series
It’s fine, but I like the armored skirt and shoulder straps from the live-action movie. I’ve always found the metal bustier with no support to be an odd choice for a warrior, especially since some comic book artists would inflate her bust size to rival Power Girl.
What no masculine Steroid infused muscles? Where's the Cro-mag forehead and square jaw that are side effects of using a Themyscara naturally grown body enhancing plant? There's a whole fan base who are yearning for WWF Wonder Woman believability.😬
More love for big hair
What a mane !
Always loved the curly hair on her more than the straight
I’ve never met a human who disagrees with you on this. She’s “fine” with straight hair. But this is something else
Absolutely love this rendition of Diana.

This is Vol. 2, issue 72, and it's actually from the early 90's, which was essentially still the late 80's. Lol
In my eyes, the 80s didn't end until 92. Just feels like that.

Indeed. In that same context, the 90s did not end until 02 in my eyes.

Indeed. Can't help but agree.
This is kind of an achievement. Reddit should award us for maintaining more than 2 replies agreeing.
I suppose. Time will tell if that stays the case.
Do you have more context for that! What made it expensive?
Anything by Brian Bolland "is the best".
By far the greatest iconic iteration of Diana none can ever come close to topping it love the mane of long curly hair
Love this cover art
Why would anyone convince you otherwise? it's just a fact
Can't go wrong with the classic look
Honestly, I always thought Harry G. Peter's design was never improved upon.
The absolute best.
Based.
Big curly hair 👏👏👏
Might have to agree. You picked a great pic too
I have the statue based off of this cover, and it’s very beautiful.
About as iconic as it gets
Not a fan, personally. But I'm glad people have their favorites.
He pretty much only does covers, right?
With some exceptions like Killing Joke and Camelot 3000. I’m sure he’s done other stuff. Supposedly he’s pretty slow with interiors.
brian bolland doing anything is great
I want to see her wear hoplite armor tbh
This design but with a tiny heel added to it would be the best thing ever. Major slay.
Bolland is god
I also like this the best, but I think it also doesn't look good with weaponry. This is the best gear to fight hand-to-hand + Lasso.

ooh retro
Wavy big Hair Diana goes so hard.
King George Perez but this is also good.
You are correct! This is the superior version.
I liked Wendy Pini's version best https://cafans.b-cdn.net/images/Category_4054/subcat_6646/WendyPini.jpg
I have this as a t shirt
80s hair!
Its classic, but I did like how Byrne reduced the amount of stars on her shorts

I prefer her with a skirt.
Not
Depends on how old you are. For a younger millennial like myself, image looks dated and I’ve seen better
As a Zoomer, this is peak
Lame
examples?
I disagree. Frank Miller’s Wonder Woman from the Dark Knight Returns-Universe looks more like what Wonder Woman would be LIKE … 😊
