I love watching PLE's on a late Saturday morning/early afternoon. It's reminds me of watching NFL on Sundays (Southwesterner here) Nothing beats it.

As a european, i also like not staying up until 6am to watch ppvs. Especially B ppvs like extreme rules, and even more when they have mediocre gimmick main events (swamp fight, anyone?)

My partner and I mostly do that for Mania, at least I do. He sometimes watches a PPV in the middle of the night, besides Mania, but that more an exception than a rule. Goes for the weekly shows too; we watch those at Tuesday and Saturday mornings. We don't have the right channels here (The Netherlands) and the wwe-youtube channel doesn't post everything and most is snipped into little segments. So we stay away from social media and watch it the day after, I never had the feeling that I really missed something.

It's not just European, it's pretty much anywhere else in the world that isn't North America. The last World Baseball Classic really opened my eyes. All the games outside of North America looked more like block parties and it all looked AMAZING! North American fans are just crappy

I'm from the UK and it felt a lot like a football crowd at a home game for Lyon in Ligue 1. Incredible atmosphere that I wish we saw more of at wrestling shows, it felt like an enormous celebration from start to finish.

Every US sports has plays of 3minutes then there is a little show between plays or something on the screen to entertain them, someone to tell them when to clap or what to chant etc. then the game resumes. In Europe or South America for exemple we watch a lot of football (the real one they call soccer) where the game lasts 90min and sometimes it's boring as hell, no team scores so it's up to the fans to make the show, sing, encourage, hype the athletes etc. It's cultural I'd say

I mean UK and European crowds are inherently better, it happens with every sporting event and is just a fact. But in defence of American crowds, I guess you guys are kind of spoilt? Like not in a bad way but you get to go to events so often it doesn't feel special anymore. Whereas for MITB in London, Backlash in Lyon, Backlash in Puerto Rico, because it doesn't happen often, it's more special and crowds are more up for it.

Loved the French crowd. Could've gone without the 2 count chant after every single 2 count tho. That genuinely started to get annoying. I get it, France never had a PLE before so they are well within their right to Chant and have as much fun as they want. It doesn't mean it's invulnerable to criticism.

The crowd was fun at parts, but got kind of annoying at points too. I loved them singing along to Randy and Cody’s intros and the energy was great, but the chant/song after every 2 count and the song during the main event had me cringing.

The US crowds are spoiled because its a US based brand so we see them almost every week. And hardly in Europe. So they are gonna sound more appreciative by default.

Went to an event at the 02 in London recently, literally every match and the crowd were going with a “We want tables” chant, it was actually incredibly embarrassing.

The US crowds sing along to entrances too. Some fans are taking this way too seriously.

My only complaint was the chant on every near fall. It was fine for the first few times but it started to wear thin. That being said I would rather hear that chant 1000 times more than I would a single what chant or we want tables.

The constant singing was annoying. Need to find a middle ground.

That French crowd got on my nerves. Sure, they could unite together for a solid chant, but none of them ever stopped to think if they absolutely needed to. That "simplement deux" chant they repeated ad nauseum after every 2 count was so damn annoying. Puerto Rico was better last year.

I guess I'm the only one who didn't like the crowd in France. It felt like they kept chanting the same phrase the whole night other than the separate song for AJ Styles and the "Yeet" vs "No Yeet" which I actually thought was pretty good.

By the time the tag title match happened, I was cringing every time someone went for a two count. I swear, half the reason Cody kicked out at 1 after that “burning hammer” was to avoid the crowd doing that chant again. It was excessive. It would be like chanting “fight forever” after every two count, or “this is awesome” after every move is done. Otherwise, incredible crowd, but that chant was getting overdone.

I was just pointing out that when you get to go to something for the first time in a long time, the crowds are always going to be more energetic. I compared it to like in 2013, the Pittsburgh Pirates finally had a winning season (they last had one in 1992) and went to the playoffs. That crowd at that playoff game was going nuts. Now that they’re back to being losers again, the people that can be bothered to go don’t chant or cheer or anything.

But that argument would suggest that wwe is in the same building in the same town every week. Which is not the case. You’re basically saying “I don’t need to cheer here in New York because they were in Vegas last week and they cheered enough. Maybe you’re onto something though, after a few weeks those quiet ECW crowds really started to irk me

I don't like it nor dislike it. I just think it's pretentious for the IWC to imply paying customers censor themselves because it annoys them. WWE events aren't cheap to attend. If someone pays their hard earned money to buy a ticket to attend said event, they can do whatever they want short of jumping the guard rail or attacking other fans. Furthermore if a what chant throws off a wrestler's promo to the point that they can't recover, then that wrestler isn't good at cutting a promo, so that's not an excuse. Who are we to try and dictate to paying customers what they can and cannot chant just because it "ruins our vibe" internet wrestling fans are not the majority of wrestling fans.
