I think that first botch either concussed or badly shook jade because nothing flowed after that Bayley\niven was meh. Nothing really eventful Drew\ priest was good. The fall in the ropes was brutal. Not just his ankle but it looks like his shoulder and head hit the ring edge. Was relieved to see him up and moving and got a match ending. Punk interfering was good. It builds on everything and makes sense. The reaction in the building was deathly. Meh overall. Glad priest won

Punk vs. Drew will be an interesting story as neither appear to be heel or face now. It will have to be an interesting story, too, as I'm not sure about Punk in Ring. The one time I saw him in AEW was against the artist formerly known as Goldust, and he looked like he'd lost several steps.

People in here are absolute whiners. That match was good with a fantastic ending. SummerSlam is bound to be great this year.

Depends on how they follow through with it. I feel like they booked themselves into a corner. Already feels like drew has been officially cemented as a main event jobber with this loss. They can rebuild him but it must be done right.  They can’t give punk the win, unless they kill drew off completely. So limits their options. It can be an all time great fued if this propells drew to win the title at mania.  If he does nothing after this even if he beats punk then it feels like a waste of a fued and still feels like a main event jobber due to failing to win the title after a billion chances in a long drawn out chase.  If drew had won it would be two guys who have cemented their place. Neither guy needs to win the title at maina and you would not feel pressured to go with drew or make his three year chase a waste of time. They could’ve have gone with breaker. Now they may have to delay him to give drew the moment they could have given him here. 

Why are we thinking about mania when SummerSlam is 2 months away? The feud at hand and the feud that has been at hand since February has been punk v drew. Could've happened at Mania this year if punk didn't get hurt. It's wrestling, good feuds sometimes transcend title reigns.

It was already an amazing fued. They never needed to have drew lose again to further it. What they should have done is have drew win here, lose at mitb to jey uso with punk screwing him over.  Yes sometimes they can transcend title runs but not when the guy in it loses all the time in title matches during a big chase but they cannot win it after 3 years. Wwe announcers have made a big deal about him not holding in front of fans more than five minutes.  Unless they can move drew to the world title after this fued. Hence why i bring up mania because gunther after beating uso who wins it from priest, won’t lose till mania. Hence why i make that point plus people book years into advance all the time.   I feel like he would not need if they did not have him in a chasing the title for three years and not being able to win the title. Tonight would have made him untouchable now he is very touchable.  Remember fueds like hbk and taker were amazing and neither had the belt but were not chasing it failing for three years either. Only minor quibble is I think that would habe actually been a good spot for Punk to flip the bird. But I love this angle so much. Drew/Punk is an all time feud.

Priest stops any match from feeling like a main event. He got away with it tonight because it was McIntyre in Scotland

He was great tonight, had a good one with Jey, is consistently good in general. I like watching him. He’s a transitional champ, sure, but I like what he’s made out of it so far. All of this was just to warm the seat for Gunther anyway, another reason I’m not terribly bothered.
