That was me yesterday. Needed a couple more pulls for Jiyan. (I lost 50/50 at max pity. Then got Yinlin early 10 pulls later, as she was my biggest priority for Calcharo. But then kinda wanted to try again for Jiyan because I don’t want the 1.1 waifus. Had to grind pulls for max pity, but thankfully won that 50/50.) No pulling for me now till at least 1.2.
I have to confess, my last open world RPG was Tower of Fantasy and those bastard devs would hide their chests and world collectibles on top of every skyscraper, mountain, in ever nook and cranny, and I wasted so much time early on checking corners and hilltops when I started WuWa, until I realized they aren't evil little easter egg hiders.
Ummm how? Played it from the first 10 minutes the game came out. every quest done, all zones 90% explored or more. Not one stamina wasted, Just hit level 39 today. Guess you may have used your fuel?

yup. Farmed it all then dumped 240 pulls into Yinlin and Stringmaster. Definitely not the wisest decision, but really coped i wouldn’t lose 50/50 and hard pity 3 times.
Same i was saving for future characters as i had a guarantee after failing to Lingyang on Jiyan but after doing her Story quest and how cute she was (design wise + personality wise) i dumped all of my pulls into her banner + weapon. i might regret it in 18 days but oh well life is too short to be cautious all the time, just live with the present lol

Totally opposite for me. in Genshin I've lost like 90% of my 50/50 over the 3.5 years, and on top of that still dont have Jean. In Waves, I've had amazing luck.

Not completely stacked against players and it seems fair atleast for me and my friends. Some got calcharo on the 50 pity beginner pull, some got encore, 5 out of 6 of us got Jiyan and 3 out of 6 got yinlin, without spending.
Wish legalities would also force them to disclose soft pity rates so I could accurately calculate how utterly fucked my luck has been as F2P.

the 50/50 is a dumb mechanic tho. it only serves to give them more money and punishes the f2p base.
what would be better is to instead allow for the 1st 80 limit to be guaranteed. the consecutive pulls after that will instead give a normal rate to other 5\*s as well meaning you could end up pulling a 5\* every 10 pulls but would again reset the pity limit meaning whales would have a harder time maxing while f2p will still be able to get at least 1 copy of the one they dive for.
the 'other game' can do what it wants....that's not an excuse to create FOMO in f2p and making us feel miserable...Whales will c6, the game can make money with whales. Just give us f2ps more rewards with events.

I have never understood the gacha game mentality of "a less generous game makes more money". I have looked at the statistics and what determines a games profitability is not how badly they treat the core player base, what determines profitability is how much better is their game compared to others in the category and how good they are at marketing characters and updates. If they do both well, they will hit the top of the charts regardless of generosity.
Am I wrong tho? If wuwa can't make profit then it's on them for not doing their job properly.
copying a successful gacha model is just starting point, hell wuwa already did a better job by guaranteeing weapon.

The reason genshin adopted the 50 50 model was because they designed they're game around casual play and you can clear most of the content with bad characters, so genshin had to make obtaining characters hard. Other gachas like hi3 and pgr have large portions of the game where you need good teams so they need to give enough characters to clear some of that tough content so people will want to pull for more characters. Wuwa is slightly better than genshin, but from the general direction of the game it seems you will need good teams to clear the endgame content. It's fine for now as you can get most of the good units if your lucky, but in the future it will be much worse and they will need to be more generous or people will give up and the game will lose popularly and die.
The gacha meta at the time of Genshin's release was Dokkan battle. Dokkan has no pity so it was very generous to actually guarantee it after one loss. There are whales in Dokkan who drop $2k on banners to pull their desired unit, and you can find youtubers who dropped 4k to 6k on specific banners trying to pull dupes. While it still is ridiculous to spend 300 to guarantee a character, it is still much less predatory than what the gacha meta was at the time. You have to look at the environment at the time when the games were released. Honestly what frustrates me most about gachas is the price for a guaranteed character. There should be gachas that come in at every pricepoint, but no, we have been stuck in the $300 per character meta for half a decade.

PGR is extremely generous as far as gacha games go. Even games like Genshin and WuWa are on the nicer end of things, a lot of games just have a rate up for the featured character without any sort of guarantee
Even if the gacha system is bad people will still play it anyway and it's why nothing is done about gacha games scamming players like that. Some people also don't care if they are lucky but coming from someone who's never won a 50/50 since genshin and star rail dropped it's pretty brutal and why i don't play gacha games that much anymore
I’m not a fan of the 50/50 system. You should be able to spark for exactly what you want. Can’t believe I’m saying this, but fire emblem heroes (atrocious ass game) somehow has a better summoning system because at the very very least, you got to pick which 5 star you wanted after 20 summons. Also getting summon currency was significantly easier. I’m not a fan of doing 1-2 hour long quests for 100 astrite which is not enough for even 1 summon. Honestly, might drop cause I simply can’t invest this much time in a gacha while working full time and going to school.
The 50 50 is a system that is in place to earn the company money, since those who lose are more willing to spend to get what they want due to frustration. I'm not saying it's a good system I'm just telling you why it exists.
The best way to play these games is to save for max pity and literally buy the character with your pulls, always assume you will lose 50 50 and go to max hard pity. You might have to skip and such but you will never be dissapointed when pulling, since you will always get what you want even if you're not lucky at all. It requires sacrifice and time, perhaps some light spending like 5 bucks for the monthly thing but it's obviously the downside of the game being free and having constant massive updates, it has to support itself through something and that is the casino system.
Eh, I’ve already spent too much on gachas in the past. I wanted to play this game for the gameplay and use different characters but if that is their incentive. I cannot change it so in other words, I’m not their target audience. I hope Kuro games sees success in the future and they do so without having to get their audience addicted to gambling.
This is my first gatcha game and honestly the amount of free pulls you get is insane, I didn't expect to get such a nice roster already.
I wanted to support the devs for how nice it all is so I just got the 30 day pass thing, feels nice since I gain quite a lot of pulls just from dailes and pass.
I downloaded the game yesterday and got Jiyan after 40 pulls I'm very satisfied. I also got the red hair scientist guy apparently they go well together.
In all honesty, I hope the playerbase doesn’t get too greedy, we have a rare case of a dev team actually listening and working hard so let’s not make them regret it
I winned the 50/50 in the Yinlin banner with 30 pulls, to be honest i didn't even thought that i could get her after accidentally pulling Jiyan. Miracles happen sometimes (i don't even like her that much, its just cool to have her support my calcharo)
I was about to put in 100$ in the game but the Gods themselve blessed me with great pulls, I accidentally pulled Jiyan while trying to build pity for Yinlin (while also looking for Danjin) and I got Yinlin in 20 pulls, 13 pulls before I would have lost 100$.
The next person that grabbed my attention is Changli which I'll save the rest of my astrite for.
Its kind of sad, that its either pay 200 bucks for a *chance* to get the thing you want, or you can slave away for days/weeks for the same thing. I feel like my time is more valuable.
Didn't throw for jiyan, pity begginer banner, pity standard, pity yanlin, pity her weapon, now i need 5 pulls for guaranteed calcharon in standard banner. At leat they gave a selector. Don't know where to get those last 5 pulls without spending asterites.

ToF and WuWa has their pros and cons. WuWa doesn't show certain types of chests on lootmapper tool while ToF had everything on the map by default.

I knew someone that lost the 50/50 and just spent like a day rerolling and got Yinlin AND Jiyan off the free 30 limited in the mail.

Also getting summon currency was significantly easier. I’m not a fan of doing 1-2 hour long quests for 100 astrite which is not enough for even 1 summon. Honestly, might drop cause I simply can’t invest this much time in a gacha while working full time and going to school.
The 50 50 is a system that is in place to earn the company money, since those who lose are more willing to spend to get what they want due to frustration. I'm not saying it's a good system I'm just telling you why it exists. The best way to play these games is to save for max pity and literally buy the character with your pulls, always assume you will lose 50 50 and go to max hard pity. You might have to skip and such but you will never be dissapointed when pulling, since you will always get what you want even if you're not lucky at all. It requires sacrifice and time, perhaps some light spending like 5 bucks for the monthly thing but it's obviously the downside of the game being free and having constant massive updates, it has to support itself through something and that is the casino system.
Eh, I’ve already spent too much on gachas in the past. I wanted to play this game for the gameplay and use different characters but if that is their incentive. I cannot change it so in other words, I’m not their target audience. I hope Kuro games sees success in the future and they do so without having to get their audience addicted to gambling.

This is my first gatcha game and honestly the amount of free pulls you get is insane, I didn't expect to get such a nice roster already. I wanted to support the devs for how nice it all is so I just got the 30 day pass thing, feels nice since I gain quite a lot of pulls just from dailes and pass.
Lost my 50/50 to Jianxin and now I’m doing anything for more asterite so I can gamble more for Yinlin 😭
I downloaded the game yesterday and got Jiyan after 40 pulls I'm very satisfied. I also got the red hair scientist guy apparently they go well together.
In all honesty, I hope the playerbase doesn’t get too greedy, we have a rare case of a dev team actually listening and working hard so let’s not make them regret it

I winned the 50/50 in the Yinlin banner with 30 pulls, to be honest i didn't even thought that i could get her after accidentally pulling Jiyan. Miracles happen sometimes (i don't even like her that much, its just cool to have her support my calcharo)
I was about to put in 100$ in the game but the Gods themselve blessed me with great pulls, I accidentally pulled Jiyan while trying to build pity for Yinlin (while also looking for Danjin) and I got Yinlin in 20 pulls, 13 pulls before I would have lost 100$. The next person that grabbed my attention is Changli which I'll save the rest of my astrite for.
Finally got her today. Lost the 50/50 and then all the way up to 71 again till she arrived. Finally I'm free.
I lost 50/50. But then I grinded and got her on 70 pulls. I'm really happy now.
