If they go the Genshin route and she ends up being the "heavenly principles" equivalent in this game then she won't be playable anytime soon so no use thinking about something thats so far into the future.

That is an interesting theory but it definitely isnt a time loop concept. The Rover is 99 percent the first Resonator and this is our second reawakening so it cant be just starting from 0 each time. Maybe if there is a time loop the loop starts from the point we meet Yangyang and Chixia

Something like she actually *is* a goddess and Rover is, essentially, her avatar to help end The Lament, but she's limited on the direct interference she can perform, so she went undercover as a relatively weak Resonator to guide Rover to that end?
She's not disguised, the game starts at the end when you failed to save the world and Yangyang has become a goddess. She sends you back in time to the beginning of the story with a piece of herself inside you. Past Yangyang can feel it and that's why was the only one to trust you before they rewrote the story.

Oh I would love that twist because holy hell, we need reason why everyone's *unreasonably* friendly with Rover. It just irks me. Sealing that shitty plot as a plot twist would actually work on me.
I find it funny how Jinzhou's was about to be decimated, and the person they sent with their general to fight the boss is some random guy they met a few days ago. What if I'm a spy and I just stabbed Jiyan, The End.
They seem so plot and lore relevant I can't see them being playable until atleast near the end of the overall story (not just Huanglong but overall story in general). I see them being playable as being similar to Dainsleif or The Sustainer in GI. Overall you'd have more than enough time to save
