GamePass is def worth it! Variety of games + online multiplayer with PC GamePass

littlebeeX0

Thanks! I think we're gonna go for, I was looking at the catalogue & it seems like it has a lot of games we would like to play & don't own.

You won't be able to play together if you don't have a console, as you can't use the same game pass subscription in two places at the same time unless you are playing local multiplayer. I have never messed around with the PC games on GPU, but I was under the impression that GPU also included PC GamePass. In terms of selection- yes there are literally hundreds (500ish?) games on GamePass, there are lots of sites out there that will let you browse the catalogue.

Thanks! To clarify, we are both playing on separate PCs & will each have a sub. GPU does include PC GamePass, however, GPU is the only version that includes the console games & I was curious what the console games consisted of (for example, does that mean console exclusive games only?) Thanks again for the response!

Okay I got it. Yes there are some games that are only available on Console. Go to [https://www.xbox.com/en-CA/xbox-game-pass/games#pcpopular](https://www.xbox.com/en-CA/xbox-game-pass/games#pcpopular) and make sure you are filtering on 'PC Game Pass' and 'All PC Games' to see all the games included with the PC Game Pass Subscription. If you want access to the console games on your PC you can use cloud gaming, but to play together you will each need your own subscription (or Game Pass Family - IF it's available in your region and cheaper than two subs) plus a wireless controller each, plus high bandwidth. I've game almost exclusively via cloud gaming and I've never had an issue but there are a lot of people on this sub that often complain that it's useless. I've also never tried two have two people cloud gaming at once on the same network though... so your mileage may vary. Ultimately this this is the nice thing about monthly subs, you can try it out for a bit and then cancel or change it up if it isn't working.

You can if you have two Xbox's though. Or a friend with an Xbox you'd like to game/subscription share with

If 1 is on console and 1 is on pc you can use one account. My son (pc) and I (series s) do this. I know this isn’t op’s situation but just an fyi

Didn’t even read the body text. Yes it’s 100% worth it. I’ve bought maybe 3 games in the last 5 years.

Either subscription allows you to access PC Game Pass (includes EA Play on the EA App). It's over 400 games now that you can download to windows PC   Ultimate gives you   -PC Game Pass (incl EA Play)  -Console Game Pass (Xbox console required),   -online multiplayer on console (online multiplayer on PC does not require a subscription)  -EA Pay on Console  -Xbox cloud gaming (stream console games  from the cloud to your PC, mobile device, or console)  -Perks   You and you daughter can share one subscription on PC using my guide https://www.reddit.com/r/XboxGamePass/comments/178h9sj/guide_how_to_share_game_pass_on_xbox_and_pc/ There are some games that are exclusive to console and some games that are exclusive to PC

This was super helpful! Especially the tip on online multiplayer & sharing a sub. Thank you very much!

I just read that someone was spending 300 on a mobile game. So 15 per month on Game Pass is well worth it if you use it a lot.

littlebeeX0

That's CRAZY. I just signed up, they had a deal, two weeks for a dollar. We go through games a lot so we tend to play a lot of F2P games, I think this will be a great way to play some better titles without having to buy copies for both of us. It's nice we can try it out for so little in case it doesn't work out.

Sounds good! I don't play it as much. Bit busy with other things, but will get back to it. A lot of good new games have been announced on xbox. Probably some of them will be added to game pass, so thats nice.

If you end up liking game pass, make sure to look up how to convert game pass core to game pass ultimate. Basically, if you buy 3 years of stackable game pass core codes off of a site like CDkeys you can convert the game pass core to game pass ultimate at a ratio of 3:2, so 3 years of game pass core for 2 years of ultimate. It protects you if Microsoft ever increases the price of game pass.
