Then I got a bad key and they told me to fuck off. PayPal dispute declined because they still delivered a product, despite it being invalid.

I used to buy from gamivo a lot but now they don't show their true pricing and they deleted their discord server so ppl couldnt complain publicly anymore. They also sign you up for their subscription that's hard to cancel by default when you purchase.
Cdkeys and eneba are my go to ones, never had an issue with either
I'd stay away from cjs keys or whatever they're called, bad experience on first purchase with them
CDkeys is good. Gamivo is stupid with their hidden fees and false prices. Eneba is good if everything is works fine but if something is wrong you are fucked. One time they billed me two times for one item and additional fees and they simply refused to refund me

You can turn it off before purchasing, it isnt automatically.
It's on by default for every purchase. You can't turn it off permanently
As a paranoid person. I only buy from the source. I can wait for a sale and let Microsoft Rewards build up

I have had great luck with eneba. Like others have said, make sure you buy from sellers that have the highest reviews and you will be good

Flip side, my first purchase with them went bad as they sent a key for pc version of a game that was listed as Xbox. Will never use them again
