If we don't see anything related to PD in 2024, I'm going to assume the game is never releasing.
That'll mean zero information for close to five years since the reveal...never a good sign.
Ppl have been complaining about the noise around next-gen due to the lack of support this gen, but it looks like we're about to start hitting that stride now. The next 12 months and beyond looks stacked for MS first party output alone.
Yeah I don’t understand why it would be in the not likely category, if anything I’d be surprised if we don’t get some sort of gameplay/story trailer this time
If all this were in one show, it would be killer. …which is why I don’t think it’ll pan out.
Gears 6 and Gulf War are pretty much a lock. Some legacy ABK games to GPU are probably in the cards as well. And we’ll likely get more info and a release window/date for Indy and Avowed. However, I don’t think we’ll see any kind of hardware reveal.
I’m hoping that Perfect Dark isn’t dead and we finally hear something about it. And I’m hoping against hope that The Last Night finally shows up and is confirmed not dead.
Also…isn’t Ara first party?
Late on this but my full predictions:
2024 stuff:
- Microsoft Flight Sim 2024 (July)
- Towerborne (August)
- Ara: History Untold (September)
- Avowed (October)

- Age of Mythology: Retold (November)
- Indiana Jones and the Great Circle (December)

- Everwild
Content updates/expansions:

- Starfield: Shattered Space
- The Elder Scrolls Online
Too follow up and to not start a new thread
my own
2024: Avowed, Indy, Flight Sim 2024, Towerbourne, Call of Duty Gulf War, Ara
Gameplay shown for 2025: Fable, Clockwork Revolution, Doom Year Zero, Oblivion Remake (dont think its going to happen, but multi-plat it will sell a lot)
Teaser Trailers: Gears 6, State of Decay (both for 2026)
DLCs/Seasons; Sea of Thieves, ESO, Fallout 76, Halo Infinite, Diablo 4 DLC, Starfield DLC
Big Game Pass games: STALKER 2, 33 Immortals, Hollow Knight Silksong, Replaced, Dungeons of Hinterberg, Flintlock, Metaphor
I wonder what’s going on with the oblivion and fallout 3 remakes, the leaked docs said they were supposed to release in 22/23 and we haven’t even had an announcement yet.
Also there should be a Forza Horizon game this year unless they’ve added another year onto their dev cycle which would be unfortunate.
It was supposed to be a new team working on it, though possible they are pulling Horizon devs onto it to help out since they were using the Forza engine iirc.
I feel like this is a good prediction minus outerworlds 2 next year. Personally, I feel like the games for next year will be fable, Clockwork Revolution, South of midnight, and maybe perfect dark but coming in hot
Can't wait for (reveal): Gears 6, Fable and Starfield DLC, Call of Duty, Contraband (It's already five years after last Avalanche game...)
Don't think - will happen: Outer Worlds 2 (because Avowed will be the main game), Everwild (too soon), Double Fine... IOI's Project Dragon (Bond will be the first game they will show!)
My Suggestion: I think they will ,,announce" something new from Activision/Blizzard (not just CoD)
Why are there still no games comments? Move on the new doom and gloom of maybe everything is going 3rd party, but there are no sure a lot of games coming out
A lot of COD titles have been hitting first week of November. But they’ve also been consistently ranging from 2nd week of October to 2nd week of November.
As long as it’s not coming in hot like the last 4 year development cycle cod (I know Sledgehammer, totally different dev)
I just need a Gears of War collection (fall 2024) and gears 6 (2025) and I would buy a series X this year. Until we get a gears of war I can stay with ps5 and switch only
The summer showcase seems like it will always be completely stacked now especially if they are throwing in AKB now. I wonder if they would ever have the issue of having too many games stacked together and cannibalizing the hype. That early year Dev showcase is going to be a must now.
I was kinda on the fence with South of Midnight whether we see it again. It’s not like I don’t wanna see it. How much time spent developing it tells me it should come by the end of 2025.
Ever wild I just feel like it’s time. They’ve had assets for awhile, they started marketing it in 2019. Rare needs to get something out the door other than Sea of Thieves. They’re bigger and imo way more valuable than Compulsion
I genuinely think we have a higher chance of receiving a cancellation notice of Everwild than seeing it this year. Rare seems to have no idea what the gameplay should be.
Contrast that to South of Midnight (and also Clockwork Revolution), which got revealed last year and should be out by the end of next year. The only reason we don't see those would be if incorporating Activision into the current show format makes the time unruly.
bummed out that we’ve just stopped putting everwild into these predictions now :/ shame that rare can’t seem to figure out what they wanna do with it or whatever the reports said
Doesn’t Sony still have the marketing rights to COD? I don’t think Xbox can announce them yet. I would also think blizzard would do their own thing given they have blizzcon.
I have a feeling fable and, everwild are much further out.
Also, expect Stalker 2 to be delayed again. It’s not even a year out from when the press saw it and flat out said it wasn’t close to done. And the war in Ukraine hasn’t exactly let up at all…to be frank, I want them to delay it so it’s polished at launch. They really need a win and so does Xbox.
Don't think they will be able to release Outer Worlds 2 so soon. And don't think they have appropriate gameplay trailer.
This has got to be the year we see Perfect Dark, right. RIGHT? If not in June then I’d bet on TGA (following Hellblade 2’s marketing strategy)
Honestly I would love to see it but only if its 12-18 months out. Otherwise I can wait another year or two(hopefully one).
At this point they’re basically starting over. Regular people won’t remember a game announced four years ago.
If we don't see anything related to PD in 2024, I'm going to assume the game is never releasing. That'll mean zero information for close to five years since the reveal...never a good sign.
SoD3 should be there (iirc Jez hinted at it)
Even if we only get the likely…. That’s a deeeeeep roster
Ppl have been complaining about the noise around next-gen due to the lack of support this gen, but it looks like we're about to start hitting that stride now. The next 12 months and beyond looks stacked for MS first party output alone.
Isn't South of Midnight supposed to come out soon? Like 'this year' soon from the last leaks?
Yeah I don’t understand why it would be in the not likely category, if anything I’d be surprised if we don’t get some sort of gameplay/story trailer this time

wonder if there could be a surprise announcement for WoW console port? Seems like an untapped market
They’d probably save that for BlizzCon
Agreed. And I'm not convinced it wouldn't be BlizzCon of 2025.
Still getting use to CoD being a first party IP

All seems plausible. I don’t think there will be a FH6 this year. Think it’s all hands on deck for Fable. But I’m all for pleasant surprises
Playground Fable and Playground Forza are basically separate studios like Arkane Austin and Arkane Lyon, they don’t affect each other.

I just want Hades

Was thinking the same, it’s been 3 years since we’ve gotten the last Horizon.
They probably broke the current cycle because they need full manpower behind Fable i'm guessing?
It was supposed to be a new team working on it, though possible they are pulling Horizon devs onto it to help out since they were using the Forza engine iirc.
Killer Instinct on Playstation with crossplay
Probably something about persona 6 too
So what are we betting exactly.
Phil: “Crimson skies!”
I feel like this is a good prediction minus outerworlds 2 next year. Personally, I feel like the games for next year will be fable, Clockwork Revolution, South of midnight, and maybe perfect dark but coming in hot
No Gears? I feel like that’s pretty much a lock. 4 games first party next year seems (as ridiculous as it sounds) low
I forgot about it but yes I feel like those games will make it a pretty good year
Highly doubt Everwild will be any time soon. Think we see State of Decay before that.
Great predictions! You forgot about COD games coming to gamepass immediately.
Maybe a typo but Dino crisis seems to be missing?
Me being unreasonably optimistic for SOD3 news![img](emote|t5_2ac5sx|6057)
Is Fallout 4 Next-Gen Patch /Remaster happening, or it was silently cannceled? I thought it would be out last year...
Can't wait for (reveal): Gears 6, Fable and Starfield DLC, Call of Duty, Contraband (It's already five years after last Avalanche game...) Seems mostly reasonable...
If you follow the same timeline we should easily be getting information about Forza Horizon 6, if not a release date for this year or next.
Hope STALKER2 release a demo.
Temper your expectations. Maybe 1/4 of these have a chance, but these showcases always disappoint people with lofty expectations
What about Contraband?
I feel like we will see Contraband. What specific type of showing I am not sure. If I had to guess a trailer with a 2025 release date
Ori suprise, a man can dream
No Rest for the Wicked looks sick though
Why are there still no games comments? Move on the new doom and gloom of maybe everything is going 3rd party, but there are no sure a lot of games coming out
I heard COD might be dropping earlier. Around October since treyarc been working on the game for 4 years

Except for some exceptions this looks pretty realistic imo.

Console´s Gamepass for rest of Latin American please! We want to join the party! :(
Diablo iv Vessel of Hatred Expansion will be released in Oct., i believe that too.
Really dude? Everwild re-reveal is likely but South of Midnight getting a trailer is unlikely? Yikes...
I was kinda on the fence with South of Midnight whether we see it again. It’s not like I don’t wanna see it. How much time spent developing it tells me it should come by the end of 2025. Everwild is in the likely section?
I dont think its going to happen, based on all of the set backs.
yeah potentially it’s been over 4 years since it was announced, plus set backs i wouldn’t be suprised if it was canned
Doesn’t Sony still have the marketing rights to COD? I don’t think Xbox can announce them yet. I would also think blizzard would do their own thing given they have blizzcon. Marketing rights ended with MW3
Fable really shouldn't be. They used it for their 2020 Next Gen marketing. Slowly but surely they have to give us some clearence.
I quit getting my hopes up, I wouldn’t recommend expecting anything. No point
Hope they'll announce a Banjo-Kazooie Duology remaster.
