I don’t know the full list of books/characters but almost ALL her books feature cameos from previous books. I think the Rest of the Story being one of the few not set in Colby is potentially one without cameos. I’ve been reading her for almost 20 years so I can’t remember everything but I know it was always fun to get a new one and find the the little Easter eggs

My favorite was seeing teenage Grace in Once and For All. Made me feel old but in a good way:)

I’m pretty sure Along for the Ride is in the same town as Keeping the Moon. I’ve also only read those two books by Dessen so I can’t say for the rest of her books.(:

Yeah she uses the (fictional) town Colby in many of her works. I haven't read them all either, I'm not sure about if the characters reappear or not.

I've read them all and there are little easter eggs of other characters in the different books! :) No storylines involving them though

That's really cool. Which one is the best in your opinion?

Hate Spinnerbait!!!

QueenCinderella

What does this mean?

It’s a little inside joke in the Sarah Dessen universe! :) they’re a rival band in one of the books and then in other books are briefly mentioned and the characters diss the band. It’s a small thing but it’s cute and funny!

I can’t recall Colie ever coming back— I think the only Easter egg from that book was that some other characters watch her mom’s fitness videos. I’m sure someone somewhere has complied a list of crossovers between books!

I’ve read all her books. There are little Easter eggs, you hear of the towns, (especially Colby) and occasionally a side character but not extended storylines. Her writing style stays the same in all her books; there’s a familiarity in them. It’s something I find very comforting about her books.
