As you can see, more distinction is more useful, but not always necessary; If someone were to ask you "when do you generally eat dinner" you can say "in the evening".
Similar to gender, you can break the different parts of the spectrum down to where it fits for you. Some people are fine saying "I'm a guy", others may need more of a " I'm not feeling Masc today, I generally identify as genderfluid and today I'm feeling more Fem". It's what works best for them, in the moment, and for their needs.
In the same way not everyone needs microseconds, picosecond, nanoseconds, etc... Not everyone needs the breakdown of the gender spectrum to fit their needs. But those micro distinctions are useful for people who need them, engineers, scientist, athletes, etc. And the micro distinctions of gender are useful for people who use them.

There's a difference between gender and sexuality. Gender is biological, what you are assigned at birth. Sexuality I don't think I need to explain. OBVIOUSLY YOUR SEXUALITY IS PERFECTLY OKAY, whether it's bi pan ace aro and any of the others that I can't remember! But it's important to note that biologically, there's two genders. Male and females, with dicks and vaginas. I'm aware of the existence of 'intergender' if that's what it's called but I honestly know jack shit about it so please inform me about it. But based on the current information I know, there's only two genders. Separate from sexuality.
You are talking not about gender but about sex, sex is determined by chromosomes, XX female and XY male, and there're rare but existing intersex people, who have XXY or XYY chromosome. Gender is not that.
Hm. My entire life I've always seen sex and gender used interchangeably so I assumed that they're the same thing. Still stand by what I said though.

Like sexuality, gender is a spectrum, not a binary (or quadrinary) trying to fit it into singular overarching titles is disingenuous. Think of it like this. What time is it? When you are a child and do not have the knowledge, you know just two times, light and dark. Later you learn those are day and night. And even over the course of a year, they change lengths. When you get a little older, you learn more of the distinctions: morning, noon, evening, night. Then the 24 hours. Then the 60 minutes in each hour, 60 seconds in each minute, etc. As you learn more and more distinction, you can more accurately represent the time. Instead of saying "I'll meet you in the evening" you can say "let's meet for dinner at 730, we have reservations". As you can see, more distinction is more useful, but not always necessary; If someone were to ask you "when do you generally eat dinner" you can say "in the evening". Similar to gender, you can break the different parts of the spectrum down to where it fits for you. Some people are fine saying "I'm a guy", others may need more of a " I'm not feeling Masc today, I generally identify as genderfluid and today I'm feeling more Fem". It's what works best for them, in the moment, and for their needs. In the same way not everyone needs microseconds, picosecond, nanoseconds, etc... Not everyone needs the breakdown of the gender spectrum to fit their needs. But those micro distinctions are useful for people who need them, engineers, scientist, athletes, etc. And the micro distinctions of gender are useful for people who use them. Make sense?
