This is horrible. I don’t understand how anyone can talk to their sibling like that and think it’s ok. I have brothers and we have never talked to each other that way no matter how many arguments that we have gotten into

Comfortable_Map_7700

My family found out I made this. My mom twisted the narrative and blames it on me for making this reddit post, because it was a mistake I made. Apparently what my sister said wasnt even as bad as me posting the texts. And I'm not supposed to be upset my sister didn't apologize anymore. Talking about abuse is bad to them, according to my mom's logic.

Smart_Information410

I’m so sorry that happened and it is really bad what your sister said no matter how your mom tries to downplay it. Your sister should be corrected on her behavior instead of it being minimized.

Comfortable_Map_7700

My mom doesn't even care about correcting my siblings, she thinks an apology is enough. I just feel so isolated in my home 😢

Excellent_Valuable92

There’s no point in arguing with her.

Physical-Bread7892

She's horrible. I'm sorry! It's so unnecessary to that mean and cruel.

Comfortable_Map_7700

After I sent her that message she sent me a paragraph about how ugly and fat i am and told me she wished i would snap my neck falling down the stairs. In contrast to her long paragraph, I just called her a piece of shit. I wish I had a sister who loved me alot honestly

Animaldoc11

Some people don’t love themselves . When you don’t love yourself, it’s impossible to love anyone else.

Comfortable_Map_7700

It's not even the fact she doesn't love herself, it's the fact she loves her friends more than me.

Physical-Bread7892

I'm sorry. Those are terrible things to say to somebody. She sounds like an extremely unhappy and angry soul. It is really sad. Your response sounds about the same as mine when totally pushed my favorite name to call somebody is a pos. It's because I really feel that way when I say it, too. It's hard having family like that. I come from a really screwed up family, so I completely understand the wishing you had a sister who loved you. This is a good place to come when you need to vent. Everybody here is really supportive. Take care

Comfortable_Map_7700

You're amazing Thank you

Physical-Bread7892

You're welcome.

texasmama5

Block her. Stop engaging and treat her like she’s dead to you. Wear headphones if you have to be around her. She’s awful.

Comfortable_Map_7700

She lives in the same house as me but I will try. Whats insane is that this is my little. sister.

Caramellatteistasty

Is she the golden child? (The favorite?). How old are you two?

Comfortable_Map_7700

Im more of the golden child I think because I treat my mom better. I'm 17 and she's..... 14 🫥

Caramellatteistasty

Are your parents aware that she is talking like that to you?

Comfortable_Map_7700

Yes and mom *does not like it.* She protects me whenever shes like this. She agrees with me that she is a bully

Caramellatteistasty

Unfortunately your mom needs to do more than just protect you. She needs to parent her other daughter. Maybe talk to her about how this behavior is inappropriate and that she needs to do something about it?

Comfortable_Map_7700

I dont think its even possible at this point. Shes a teen and it would take a lot of work to make her nicer. In protect, she more so defends, and tries to teach her how wrong it is to act this way. She just doesnt care. My only option is to set boundaries
