Aesthetics. That’s it.

theLochnessMuenster

People like villagers and form attachments for different reasons. There are different personality types (snooty, cranky, lazy, normal, sisterly, etc.). Some people find they have an affinity for a certain type of animal villager, like I personally think the doggo and bear villagers are super adorable. Different villagers will have different conversation prompts and themes of items they like. There are no "bad" villagers but the community definitely will talk about ones they dislike. Everyone seems to dislike Beardo, but he's actually my fav. There is also the physical appearance of villagers (like if someone is trying to get all of their villagers to be a certain 'aesthetic")

My nemesis villager is violet -\_- her conversations and personality IRKED the heck out of me

what about my fruit type. i have peaches

theLochnessMuenster

There are 6 fruits in the game (peaches, apples, oranges, cherries, pears, and coconuts.) To get the other fruits, you can receive them from other players online, travel to islands with nook miles tickets to look, or hope that your villagers will eventually gift one for you to plant in order to get a tree. Non-native fruits will sell for more bells too

is one better than the other or it doesn’t really matter

collecting the fruit and planting trees will be a good source of income. Eventually, you may be able to get crop items like (sugar cane, tomatoes, wheat, carrots, and potatoes) which will be used for cooking recipes. Those crops are also a great source of bells in the game. If you water crop plants three days in a row the plant will produce three of that item to be harvested = more $$

I wanna point out also, you definitely want to collect the other fruits, the easiest way to do it is with a friend who plays, but you can also look on reddit, people like to be social in the game. There's also a chance you'll get a rare fruit island once you get Kapp'n unlocked. Your native fruit (peaches) sell for less money than the other fruits, I think it's 300 bells vs 500 bells and is a great way to make money early

nope! makes no difference :)

villagers aren’t much in this game other than decoration so most people just want the cute ones. if you like them then they’re good, it’s all personal preference :)
