I’m the complete opposite. I’ve just gone out of my way to find a women’s (I’m a man) size 13 pink pair of indoor gazelles. I love the bright colors.

Same here but waiting for adidas to release any color of the sambae in big sizes ...

Toxikfoxx

Absolutely love it. I’m sick of black, dark blue, and gray for men. Bring on the pinks, purples, yellows, greens…

Welcome to our world. You must be from US. Coloured shoes especially suede have alway been popular in the UK since the 80's.

You got any specific examples of shoes you’d prefer they release in less colourful versions? I’m watching all their shoes in release order and the vast majority seem to be neutral colours of white, beige, black or grey. On the Canadian site if I look at the 1.6k shoes they have and select all the colours omitting the black, brown, white… that gives me only 400 results and looking at them they’re pretty generous saying those are coloured. So at best 1/4 of their shoes are coloured and probably half of those are not even bright colours. There’s some models like the gazelle that have a majority of colourful versions, but it’s always been the case.

A little bit of leather paint can solve all your problems

Dude like every shoe has a black, white, or grey colorway. Like every one of their shoes. Wdym lol.

No.

I used to be like that too. But if you think about it every shoe use to be black, white, grey and navy. Which is good because it goes with almost every outfit. But it gets stale. I'm sure you'll see colorful shoes from now on. I don't mind if the color combo is right. I just picked up the SL 72 in red and I love it. And I'm usually first to just get an all black or black and white and be happy. But I don't really like most of the color combos adidas are doing. I feel like Nike is doing it better in that area.

So, what do you do? Steal them?

gordito_gr

What is this? 1982?

wildcardmidlaner

Even the 70s/80s had crazy colored shoes, if anything things are way more tame these days.

I think we are at the end of a trend. I've trying to use more colors in my clothing for a few years and now I'm looking going for some basic outfits again.

Where I live, the main trend still seems to be plain white shoes. Especially the AF1s where even the swoosh is white feel extremely boring to me. I like colorful sneakers, but find them hard to combine. As long as the classic black and white colorways stay available I don't see a downside.
