Naglalakad kami palabas ng dept store at habang nagtitingin-tingin jowa ko ng mga damit, naluha ako. Di ko pinakita sa kanya kasi... alam niyo yung luha gawa ng sama ng loob and self pity? Ganun. I just walked to a corner and just stayed there for a while. Hipo-hipo ng mga naka-display na damit para kunwari tumitingin pero nagtatago talaga ako.
I worked my fucking ass off all year. Perfect attendance. Kahit binaha kami ilang beses this year, nagtiis ako magtrabaho at mag-take ng calls habang nakalublob yung mga hita ko sa baha. Nawalan ng trabaho kapatid ko because of poor decision making on his part kaya kinailangan ko dumoble ng kayod. Dahil kargo ko lahat ng bills at gastusin, I wasn't able to treat myself to anything na gusto ko this year. Nung moment na yun sa mall habang lumuluha akong mukhang tanga, I realized na lahat ng pera ko buong taon ay napunta sa ibang tao at ibang bagay. Yes, pamilya ko sila. Yes, bills namin yun. Pero ewan ko... parang nakakasama ng loob pag naiisip ko na di ko man lang na-treat yung sarili ko.
So to answer your question, OP, wala. Wala akong nabili para sa sarili ko.
But hey, I'm still alive. Never ako tinamaan ng Covid so that's good. My family is healthy so that's great. Meron akong partner na mapagmahal at maalaga and that's awesome. May stable job ako and I love what I do. I have a working phone on which I'm typing this right now. I have clothes on my back and a roof over our heads.
So I wasn't able to afford the things that I want, but I do have all the things that I *need*. Maybe if things go my way next year, baka may mas maganda akong ma-comment hehe. It’s used for scented candles, you still get the benefit of the aroma without having to light the candle up and worry that you fall asleep with it still on (if you get the candle warmer with a timer). I’m not sure if the candle lasts longer din vs if it’s lit up the usual way.

Material things wala po, but all I am praying is magka peace of mind ako and confidence in all I do. Peace is gold for me, confidence is my armour in my day to day battle since introvert po ang lola 🥹

I went Christmas shopping for my whole family and some close friends, siguro lagpas 20 tao plus bought some candies I could give away sa mga kids na pupunta sa bahay na di ko naman inaanak. It was really fun, i was happy. Pero nung tapos na, I realized na wala ako binili specifically for myself na I could say it’s a gift for me. Though may mga naisabay akong gamit na bilhin para sakin like a shirt, purse and lip tints, i don’t consider them gifts. But I’m still glad I purchased them. Hehehe.

Got myself a portable retro handheld that plays well retro games yung tipong Mario, Contra, Pokemon, etc., but not those crappy 400-in-1 Sup Gameboy that you buy. It's a burst of nostalgia and I miss playing my childhood games.
I particularly got the tiny Funkey S (bought from abroad), but there are many other alternatives. I highly recommend Anbernic or Powkiddy devices sa mga gustong maglaro ng retro games nung kabataan nila :D

Got myself a portable retro handheld that plays well retro games yung tipong Mario, Contra, Pokemon, etc., but not those crappy 400-in-1 Sup Gameboy that you buy. It's a burst of nostalgia and I miss playing my childhood games. I particularly got the tiny Funkey S (bought from abroad), but there are many other alternatives. I highly recommend Anbernic or Powkiddy devices sa mga gustong maglaro ng retro games nung kabataan nila :D
