I listen to a lot of public radio and I heard about this month or two ago. Governor hired someone new to head the Office of Cannabis Management. Idea was to finally fix the rollout and get some dispensaries licensed and open, but secondary also to shutdown illegal shops.
it's bullshit and we all know it - I predict we are in the same boat again/still two years from now. OCM is a joke and always will be. Already prioritizing the shut downs obviously. I don't see anyone posting here about a massive influx of new legal dispensaries opening that's for sure.
I told my guy at my favorite "good, quick, local & cheap" shop about it a week or two later but he hadn't heard and wasn't concerned. Still untouched as of today - Syracuse area.
Thankfully I am within a reasonable distance of a very good indigenous shop that has everything I need and more. I don't think they can touch anything on sovereign territory.
I have also had very good experiences ordering THCA dabs online from Michigan - crazy good prices, fast shipping and great quality. Never had a shipping issue yet. 🫠

Rec in WNY is a mess. Open/shut on a quarterly basis around here. Raided then reopened under different name. MMJ dispensaries are fine.

We have like 50 dispensaries in the whole state lol this has been the absolute worst recreational opening… even after 2 years.
