For what it’s worth the list current shows 0 seats available for the 4:38 but 5 seats available for the upgrade list. So if those 5 clear there will be space that opens but not enough for the 6 travelers in the Goe party. Good chance for the others in the list.
I will give the update if you are curious, only 1 person beat the list, Goe party wasn't on the list. waiting for the 5:30 flight lets hope 2 and 3 on that list.

Ugh, I’m sorry to hear that. If you don’t already have GE or PreCheck, I’ve heard anecdotally you may be able to somewhat overcome that issue by joining.
I’ve paid for GE 2 times because I got locked out and I still haven’t been able to get on demand appointments or any normal appointments. It’s quite unfortunate

well I am brown and TSA loves to give me a "random screening", so I could write a post on how to do that effectively
I doubt the color of your skin has anything to do with it. I am caucasian with TSA Pre✅ and routinely get randomly screened.
That is true but mine is damn near like 40-50% of the time I’m at the airport, I do take a lot of electronics with me tho.
