'Change things 36 hours ahead". Dude its a day of operation as needed industry.

5 hours delay because of a no show first officer is unsat

flying_cowboy_hat

Like I said. Day to day operations. Theres a fucking hurricaine moving through the island. There were I guess minimum connections coming home or there. If you're on a low priority flight, you get fucked first. its not American, its everywhere.

6 hours latest hour sitting on the tarmac in MIA

flying_cowboy_hat

Cool. theres a once in a no shit forever storm moving through MIA's bread an butter. What would you do if something catastrophic happened for the first time ever? Just learn to roll with it like an adult.

The biggest problem is how AA communicates with the front line when issues come up. There’s not generally much information passed along, so the people you’re interacting with don’t know more than you usually. When DFW had its meltdown the EP desk was like WTF on all the notes on flights since they were nonsensical or incomplete. A lot of them were doing detective work to get even a sense of what could be solutions. The ones at the airport are at even more disadvantage having everyone down their throats.
