There are a lot of things about Roger that don't add up. They only explanation I can think of is that he purposely pretends to not know these things or do anything about them for dramatic effect. I mean he has super speed and he hardly ever uses it to save family members from getting hurt or even himself from getting hurt.
This and suddenly Hebrew speaking Toshi are my favorites.
