I’ve rewatched it once. Which is really out of the ordinary for me cause I rewatch my favourite shows maybe once a decade. I’ve found that by doing this, I can have the closest thing to watching something again like it’s a first time. You tend to forget nearly everything. And since there’s so many other great shows, I can keep myself busy watching something else. Andor I couldn’t resist and ended up rewatching.

mlewis106

Same. I'm actually cautious to watch it a third time. I'm trying to get my wife to watch it with me so, but either way I'm giving it one more watch along with Rogue One right before S2.

pentagon

I just rewatched it, which is why I joined this sub. Then I rewatched R1 after. Wow, I used to think R1 was good, but it's really not at the level of Andor at all. It's hilariously amateurish (the writing) compared to Andor. Andor is Star Wars for grown ups. R1 has so many cartoonish gaffes I lost count. It's great action don't get me wrong. But what made Andor so great--the writing--is absent. Can't wait for s02.

PMWeng

Really makes you wonder what specifically Tony Gilroy added to finish R1 to make it not suck as hard as it clearly would have left to Gareth Edwards. - corrected

SubterraneanLetDown

Last Jedi was directed by Rian Johnson not Gareth Edwards.

PMWeng

My mistake.

NFLFilmsArchive

Yeah, I actually get downvoted often for saying this, but Rogue One is definitely more in line with the regular Star Wars movie or show. My beloved media in Star Wars is the OT/Andor/KOTOR I and II. I want to put Rogue One in but it would be a very distant 4th.

pentagon

It has a BIT more edge in that one of the mains cold bloodedly murders someone for expedience sake, right when we meet him. And, absolutely everyone dies at the end.

KingDaviies

I do like doing that with some shows, but I rewatched the Wire immediately after finishing it and saw so much that I didn't pick up on before. Do you still experience that after 10 years?

NFLFilmsArchive

No, it’s more like seeing it for the first time again which I prefer. Not remembering the majority of the show makes it very enjoyable. We all would love to experience a show for the first time again and this is the closest experience you can get to that by waiting for a long ass time to rewatch it.

CobBaesar

Dude

Trvr_MKA

Alec Guinness’ ghost needs to talk to this guy

Le_Ratman99

The sad thing is that this is some of the less obvious bait I’ve seen on this sub of late. At this point I think we need some sort of r/andorcirclejerk Edit: it was only after posting this that I became aware of its existence lol

OperatorGWashington

The main sub already is the circlejerk

Jacksodemememan

lol

sonofgoku7

💀

fatbogoer

Dude got the gooner setup

thesteaks_are_high

Four times I’ve seen it all the way through. It’s not just the best Star Wars content outside of the OT and Rogue One (yeah, I said it), but it’s a great television show. Also, Stellan “hold my fucking cock” Skargård is in it, and I’ll watch that treat to our society in a toothpaste advert if he decides to make one. Did the exact…same…thing with *Chernobyl (2019)*.

KangarooStilts

I saw it once a year ago on my tiny smartphone screen, streaming at low bandwidth from Disney+. It was so good, I refuse to rewatch it again until my 4K UHD Blu-ray arrives and I have a 4K TV to watch it on. Then I will finally be able to do it justice.

Hulterstorm

No, that's too much. Go outside, Pal. Andor is good, but not better than life. I've rewatched it 3 times and I basically know it by heart. edit: okay I stopped reading at 50 times. I got baited. Good job. That's funny.

isoterica

I’ve watched each episode at least 3 times each so some of my favorite ones are more than 3 but I didn’t count.

Professional_Fig_456

3 times all the way through.

CommanderCruniac

Just finished fourth, maybe fifth, last night.

[deleted]

Once. I'll rewatch it again when season 2 is about to release, ane once more with a future partner that has never seen Rogue One :)

EnderMerser

At least 10. That's for sure.

Dear-Yellow-5479

Okaaay… But think it’s a real sign of its greatness that it not only can stand multiple watches, it actually needs multiple watches! 11 times for me now. Trying to wait two months for the UK release of the Blu ray but I’m missing it already and may have to succumb again soon.

ArcticWolf_Primaris

Twice, although the 1st was because I was doing 2 simultaneous watches with family and friends

Bits2Chips

I’ve rewatched it at least 10 times

korosuzo815

I just hook it to my veins for quick input. But in all seriousness, I’ve rewatched it at least 10-12 times. I can’t say the same for any other SW D+ release. Not that I don’t like them. I do. But Andor is such a great look inside the early Rebellion and Empire like we’ve never seen before. I just can’t get enough.

DeBatton

Once so far. I took a trip up to Loch Awe in Scotland to visit Cruachan Reservoir and wanted to rewatch episode 6 for reference. It was so compelling that I ended up rewatching the series in a few days. Cruachan is well worth the visit too, a stunning location and surrounding area.

Velbalenos

I think Ive rewatched it start to finish 3 or 4 times, then re-watched individual episodes…a lot more (I dont tend to watch ‘random’ tv, but if I find something I like get a little obsessed with it).

yekimevol

Rewatched it twice and will rewatch when the blu rays arrive.

sch0f13ld

I’ve watched it start-to-finish 4 times now, but back when it was being released weekly, I was watching each episode at least twice before the next one came out. I’ve rewatched it twice by myself (not including the first watch) and once with another friend. I’ve actually rewatched it a lot less than some of my other favourite shows because it’s not something I’ll watch in the background while doing other things. Also each rewatch actually leaves me feeling satisfied and satiated, and I don’t have the same need to keep compulsively consuming it like I do with eg The Clone Wars; it’s like a balanced, filling meal rather than a sugar rush.

KingDaviies

Been holding off on watching it because i convinced myself I can make it to season 2 and rewatch season 1 while the new episodes trickle out.

phantomagna

Last spring Andor was kinda my comfort show. Watched it twice paying close attention, then I had it playing in the background here and there for a few weeks.

jasonin951

I’ve never rewatched any series but I might consider rewatching this in the future like years from now if I’m inspired to.

draagaak

Haven't but prolly will when season 2 hits Disney+. It is great and all, but dialog heavy like say...Breaking Bad. Not the most rewatchable of shows. 50 is batshit crazy and I hope not true. My most rewatched show is Firefly like 10 times, once maybe twice a year.

wibellion

Yoo 50? That's actually crazy. I've seen it 5 times over and have rewatched the best episodes quite a few times randomly. I got my parents, brother, and gf to watch it with me at different times and they all loved it

avoozl42

I've never watched anything 50 times

RiskAggressive4081

4-5?

ICS__OSV

Not nearly enough times

INRVISN

At least 5 times. Waiting now to watch again into S2 and I’m so excited to see how that plays out!

kvpiz

Do I have to count the times it plays in the background while I work?

InfiniteMonkey167

Probably 15 times because it will take 15 years to get the second season out.

EightThreeEight838

I actually haven't rewatched it. But the memory of that first watch is still permanently engraved in my head.

OnwardTowardTheNorth

Only once but I will be rewatching again, no question.

Tofudebeast

8 times for me. And still enjoy it every time.

NeverMoreThan12

3 times. My next rewatch will be when the 4k Blu ray comes in. Then probably not until before season 2 starts airing. But it will definitely be a yearly rewatch for the rest of my life.

scubawankenobi

Zero, sadly. Want to buy the 4K bluray & watch it in a hopefully even upgraded format. Own it to share it w/others in future.

all_of_the_colors

And we’ve found Andor circle jerk. But please, if that sub actually exists, I want in on it.

thetjmorton

Never. But I still liked it.

Nandor_Chess_Moves

Never more than twelve

Stoner_Plays

You got me beat not bad I’ve watched it twice it’s a unrelenting masterpiece

porkpiepickles

6 for me. Each time, with someone else I've convinced to watch it. I feel like an Andor proselyte.

NxTbrolin

I've done a fully invested rewatch only one extra time, and then have rewatched the Aldhani arc a handful of times. I absolutely loved Andor though, and it probably helps that I'm one of those Star Wars fans that ranks Rogue One really high (it sometimes takes the top spot, but usually sits at 1B to ROTJ's 1A)

-connman6348

I watched it once and thought it was pretty darn good. Didn’t wind up with the same massive boner for it that everyone else seems to have gotten 🤷🏻‍♂️

chuckrhett

Legends_Literature

Like 6 or 7 times. Rewatched it about a week ago, missed it when I finished, started it over a few days ago. Also waiting for the steelbook to show up at my local Walmart.

zenmondo

I watched it when it first dropped on my laptop. I watched it a second time using Bigscreen in VR. The third time, I watched it on TV with a sweetheart who was watching it for the first time and they are now anxiously awaiting season 2. Probably will watch in Bigscreen again.

Complex_Resort_3044

I gave up on the 4th episode

P-39_Airacobra

I would award this if I could But to answer your question, I've only rewatched it once, but I'm going to rewatch it again once Season 2 comes out. One thing I've noticed is that this show just gets better when you rewatch it... you really gotta pay attention to every last detail to get everything out of it.

bboardwell

I think I’ve rewatched it five times now

Amplifi3dmind

Couldn’t even finish it once, way too boring.

MUCHO2000

It's not for everyone. It's a complex drama with a few tidbits of action here and there. You have to pay attention to understand what's even going on and close attention to appreciate the nuances happening in each scene. I also loved 'Better Call Saul', 'Succession', and 'The Wire' which rest assured you will find boring because they are also complex dramas with little to no action.

Amplifi3dmind

The Wire is one of my favorite shows of all time lol. Cassian is just a ridiculously flat character and the show itself doesn’t explore any interesting themes. If I want to watch a realistic drama there are so many better shows to choose from. Star Wars is the space fantasy world that I go to to ESCAPE realistic drama.

MUCHO2000

Your comment doesn't make any sense. Cassian's character is supposed to be flat. That's one of the main themes underlying all of season one. Interesting themes? Go ahead and name the Star Wars IP that explores "interesting themes" that isn't a cartoon. You're welcome to think it's boring but your entire reasoning comes down to the last sentence which is honestly weird. Your complaint is 'Andor' is too realistic?

Amplifi3dmind

Yes. Andor has none of the fantasy aspects that I go to Star Wars for. If I want a realistic drama with interesting themes I don’t watch Star Wars. It’s not a difficult concept to understand. Cassian is the most boring Star Wars character ever. I would rather watch a Jar Jar origin story.
