With Detmers back in AAA and Silseth on the mend we’re short a starter. The pen fills in when this happens.

I was like Logo pleeeeze don't sacrifice yourself for a game and a season that has long since been over.

We have some weird effort differentials on this team. You have guys who are constantly busting ass like Rengifo, O'Hoppe, and Neto, and then there's just Suarez lobbing shit in there and being way out of shape.

One thing that I was really hoping to happen under Wash is for the team to be on the same page as far as effort and to see everyone coming together to win and work hard. That really hasn't happened since you have the young guys that are doing everything they can to win plus guys that are naturally gamers like Sandoval, Rengifo, Pillar and Estevez. Then you just have a bunch of guys like Tucker, Suarez, Guillorme and Canning that are just happy to be there and that's that. You also then have guys like Trout, Rendon and Drury.

Don’t forget: he claims he lost weight in the off season.
