**Dungeon Meshi** was peak this week. Some gifs: \[Dungeon Meshi anime\] >![link](https://imgur.com/a/0YilWEe)!< Just as last week, I'm happy to see **Loser Ranger** doing well.

StraY_WolF

Without context, it looks amazing With context, it's heartbreaking

notquite20characters

Oh, Falin is acting silly.

CrestonSpiers

Dungeon Meshi exceeded all of my expectations. It’s extremely comfy when it’s a regular episode but when action comes around it’s a pleasant surprise and very captivating. Besides, as a foodie all the cooking scenes are top-notch and inspired by real cooking techniques and methods. Everybody should give it a try.

Deruta

I never realized how long the wind up on [Dungeon Meshi] >!Rin’s!< attack was. In the moment I was so busy going “no no no No __NO__” that it felt like only an instant.

poislayer342

Oh damn, the bouncy really bounced real nice. Real real nice.

b0bba_Fett

Reminding us that despite the focus on Senshi fanservice thus far, it's still Trigger/Gainax.

HirokoKueh

birb giggles

Tabby_Tem

I would probably spoiler tag the link just in case (:

Equivalent-Weather59

Done!

Euroversett

I'm surprised this episode of Dungeon Meshi was such a big deal, when reading the manga it was hardly any big deal for me. All I can think about is that the anime will end before the story gets interesting.

Equivalent-Weather59

Probably because it's the hypest point of what this season will adapt. You're right that a lot of great moments will have to wait for season 2 tho.

Mahelas

We're still due a few emotional/hype moments, and also everything else is top comedy, but yeah, the big big moments will be in season 2.

Smudy

**Dungeon Meshi** was actually close to Mushoku Tensei this week, wow. **Shuumatsu Train** back in the 1k's, great longevity so far.

Ebo87

This is probably as close as anything will come to Mushoku this season. Also new season best for Dungeon Meshi, this was higher than its episode 1 karma.

FacelessPoet

I won't count Konosuba out yet, honestly. It's popular enough, it just needs to be hype enough

climbin_on_things

It feels like we just finally landed on the actual plot of the season at the end of the last episode so I could see it climbing from here, though I wonder if being season 3 means its popularity is already somewhat at the saturation point

Flerken_Moon

Ngl, as a Light Novel reader I kinda feel that the content this season will cover is going to be relatively tame overall. It’s still solid Konosuba, but I think around #3 spot is around what it’ll stay at.

michhoffman

It was a combination of Dungeon Meshi having its highest Karma Total to date and Mushoku Tensei having its lowest ever karma total.

Equivalent-Weather59

Yep, as much as I love Dungeon Meshi (my fav anime this season), it will drop next week due to the story having downtime before it gets hype again (I hope not much tho).

Gnomishness

The next episodes are some of my favorite characterization episodes ever, so I don't think the drop is gong to be very big at all. The 6th floor of the dungeon is definitely my favorite.

michhoffman

If there's a lack of action, it will drop regardless of how good the episodes are. Those are the official r/anime rules.

Gnomishness

How can you say there's a lack of action when [Manga spoilers for the next 2 chapters] >!we'll be formally introduced to a cat girl, and we'll finally get to see Laios' vaunted impression of a dog.!<

pober

Exactly. I've been waiting for [Manga spoilers for the next episodes] >!Izutsumi joining the party!< forever. I'm way more hyped about that then this previous episode lol

bonerindisguise

Episodes 15 and 16 managed to reach 2600 so I expect the next one would be around 2700-2800 as it is around the same quality as those two and the hype of this week episode will linger.

Some_Trash852

I’m pretty sure episodes 11 and 12 pulled the average up about 500 karma. I wouldn’t be surprised if the average climbs to over 3k after this week.

climbin_on_things

Yeah a big splash like this won't entirely recede I think, but I do expect this'll be the peak until maybe the finale push

dagreenman18

GATAN GATON TO THE TOP!

DeRockProject

I'm only watching Train atm, but why is it so low atm? Are this season as a whole really that good? Or is it obscure right now?

Trevenas

Will be interesting to see how Mushoku's karma develops from here on out. Manga readers were saying the latest Dungeon Meshi episode would be good, and... it was. Worth catching up on some good food. The amount of comments falls off a cliff past the top two this week, even though karma is a more gradual decrease.

Variation_Wooden

This episode today will go down since it is not a high priority. Next episode will be like Nanahoshi's. After that, assuming the production values are high, it will have the adventuring of season 1 cour 2 with much higher drama. From the sixth episode through next season there is pretty much no let up. Volume 13 will be about 3 or 4 episodes then the craziness of 14-15, which are considered the best two volumes. Action throughout 14 with a shock ending and then action, lore and major story change in 15. I call 16 and 17 the "Game of Thrones" volumes, which rank generally near 14-15. That should end season 3. MT is not mainstream so I'm not sure how much of the audience will be there by the second half of this season but for those that stay they are in for a treat.

FacelessPoet

Depending on how many middle children are here, ep 5 might be topping charts again

actionfirst1

Crazy that Dungeon Meshi and Mushoku Tensei had 2 of the best episodes this season for sure and Mushoku Tensei dropped in Karma for it but both episodes were fantastic and glad to see Dungeon Meshi doing so well.

AP3Brain

...why do you guys seem to care a lot about these rankings? They seem...arbitrary.

Placeholdered

Having your opinions validated on the internet is *very important* for some people. And they are arbitrary, you won't see the same results here as you would Anime Corner/Trending, because different sections of the internet have different interests. Not that any of it matters really, the engagement with the home audience for anime (not the west) is what gets shows to continue on or not.

Maalunar

It's like people rooting for professional sport teams. Who actually give a fuck about what a bunch of millionaires who kick a ball at each others do? A lot of people appear to care actually.

zenithfury

I personally don’t care about how many upvotes a show gets so long as it is good. My main use for these rankings is to find new shows to watch. That said, there are shows that deserve way more recognition sometimes, like Grimm Variations.

tatticky

I feel satisfied when my feelings are justified! Also, getting rated high means more people will watch it.

kidmedia

For a Disney anime ranger reject is doing good

gc11117

I wonder if people are simply getting used to the concept of anime being on Hulu/Disney, and are starting to embrace it.

SuperCleverPunName

Would be a shame if Disney promoted it tho

idkza

It’s the Summertime Rendering treatment

Silent_Shadow05

In my country atleast, Disney+ is slowly building up its anime repertoire so its a good thing I have kept my subscribtion. Not to mention they are also adding K-Drama too.

TheTiniestTigerTamer

Everyone still has their Hulu subscription from watching Shogun haha

Equivalent-Weather59

I know right? I didn't expect it to do this good for a Disney + stream, I'm glad it is tho

oops_i_made_a_typi

Suzukiri faces are just too good

Silent_Shadow05

After a long break from anime & manga, I just got back into it today and decided to start with Ranger Reject since I was following the manga since the beginning. And what an episode to start with, since the content EP4 was where I got sold on the series!.

Freidehr

You were magnificent The Fable. I shall never forget you for as long as I live.

MyraBannerTatlock

Loved yesterday's episode so much

MapoTofuMan

Right side is surprisingly strong this season, I think my average score for the right side would be pretty close to the left side (if not higher thanks to GBC and Saramatsuri) And RIP Blue Archive. [](#modsalute)

SometimesMainSupport

BA's first thread was removed for subtitle quality after a decent amount of interaction, which pretty much killed it this week.

Abysswatcherbel

Yeah, it seems it won't drop with the SEA release, only fansubs now

cppn02

> Saramatsuri Oooh..I'll have to start using this.

steven4869

The Loser Ranger's banner convinced me to watch the show.

Abysswatcherbel

Good taste

cppn02

[5 out of 5](https://i.imgur.com/ImBOg48.png) banner. [](#nichijouthumbs 'With a hidden secret ;)')

Abysswatcherbel

L'oreal, because she is worth it

dagreenman18

Good. You picked the perfect reason to.

Silent_Shadow05

Do watch it. Its like Power Rangers but with a much more darker and serious storyline from the perspective of the villains. Also for those interested in the voice acting side of the anime, the protagonist is voiced by Natsuki Subaru's VA Yusuke Kobayashi and the Red Ranger is voiced by Yuichi Nakamura, Gojo Satoru's VA.

Thundergod_3754

wish there were some r34 and doujins of her

oops_i_made_a_typi

anime will probably inspire some

botibalint

It's been great to see Dungeon Meshi's MAL score rise. It started out at 7.7, and it's at 8.1 now. It might even end at 8.5+ after it finishes and the people who gave it a low score and dropped it at episode 2 get filtered out. Many people (me included admittedly) thought it's just another gimmick isekai (yes I know it's not an isekai, but you get my point), and either dropped it early or didn't even give it a chance. And while I thought the first couple episodes were funny and had some good worldbuilding, it didn't really "live up to the hype" that manga readers were building, but I decided it was fun enough to stick with it despite that. But it just kept getting better and better every episode, and everything starting from the dragon floor has just been amazing. The worldbuilding has graduated from interesting to excellent, and the way it can be dark/serious and really funny at the same time is great, really reminds me of Dorohedoro and JoJo sometimes. [Latest Dungeon Meshi episode]>!When it did the classic trope of two guys having an emotional fistfight while trauma dumping, and one of them just said "You know why I'm better than you? Because I have 3 proper meals a day and get plenty of sleep!" I ficking lost it.!< Also Laios might unironically be the best positive representation of an autistic person in anime.

michhoffman

I can see it rising to around an 8.35. Sure, there is the occasional example like Eminence in Shadows where a polarizing show [rises](https://web.archive.org/web/20230209085418/https://myanimelist.net/anime/season/2022/fall) around [.40](https://web.archive.org/web/20230222032644/https://myanimelist.net/anime/season/2022/fall) after it finishes, but I don't think Dungeon Meshi is as polarizing as people think (the minority who dislike it are just loud about it).

Lovealltigers

>Laios might unironically be the best positive representation of an autistic person in anime Usually I despise when people try to diagnose any antisocial character with a quirk with autism, but Laios is the first one I actually agree with. I think they did a great job at making him a relatable and entertaining character.

Arthas_Firedragon

How can anyone see [this beauty](https://i.imgur.com/1dgzzFE.jpg) from the latest episode of Dungeon Meshi and not say that this anime is a masterpiece!? [Spoiler source] >!I'm sorry.!<

PeaceAlien

Misfit King is almost knocked off the entire list. What a fall that show has had, I loved season 1 but dropped season 2.

MapoTofuMan

Same here, S2 was mind-numbingly boring. Which was a huge surprise to me at the time, S1 was pure entertainment from start to finish. They should've just stuck to Anos being Anos instead of trying to introduce a below-average-even-for-isekais plot.

cppn02

The latter half of Pt1 and now the start of Pt2 were an improvement over early S2 but still nowhere as good as S1 sadly.

tripleaamin

I loved the later half of S2 Pt 1, and it was the best part of the anime so far in terms of story. Though doesn't beat how entertaining S1 was. But holy shit the first half of S2 Pt 1 was so badly paced. Where so many people didn't understand so many key points because it rushed so many things. In a rewatch things finally clicked for me, but if you need a rewatch to make sense of things the anime direction was terrible. I will read the light novels first since it's coming out in English physicals finally.

vantheman9

I didn't hate it but during the era of covid delays I dropped several anime because they weren't holding my interest enough for me to keep track of when they were releasing, including that one

Ocixo

I’m really not sure why **Spice and Wolf** keeps losing karma every week. This week’s episode was probably the best one yet, but you wouldn’t say so based on its karma score. For all who aren’t watching **Seiyuu Radio**: you’ve missed quite the episode this week. Everything’s pointing in a great direction, so I’m very curious to see how the next episode will pan out. Lastly, look at poor Nadeshiko: [she’s distraught](https://imgur.com/a/j21zvUb)!? This is what happens if **Yuru Camp** isn’t in the Top 10. She needs your support! EDIT: Also want to mention that last week’s episode of **Jellyfish** on Kiui was amazing. I’m really not sure if there will be another anime episode this season that can top *that* as an experience.

redlegsfan21

I think the issue with Spice and Wolf is that it's a remake and there are very few differences worthy of discussion that haven't been talked about already in the past. I'm personally not in a rush to watch it either, I just want to take my time and enjoy it, especially when the dub is two weeks behind which is how I was introduced to the series way back then.

Ocixo

I did get the impression that a lot of people were watching the dub. This probably *would* be a hit to its karma with the 2-week delay.

VoiceEarly1087

But why people prefering dub? It's first time for me seeing so much preference for dub

Ocixo

I’m more of a sub-person myself, but I got the impression that it has partially to do with nostalgia: they watched the original series in dub and like to relive this experience with the remake. Maybe they’re not used to the Japanese cast either and therefore prefer the (English) dub?

michhoffman

> I’m really not sure why Spice and Wolf keeps losing karma every week I wouldn't say it's too unexpected. For hyped up anime that get a lot more Karma than expected Week 1, it usually takes them several weeks to find their Karma Equilibrium. Dungeon Meshi had a similar trajectory last season. 100 Girlfriends had a similar trajectory the season before and Zom 100 the season before that. I'd expect the Karma to stabilize soon and for us to start seeing increases.

MrSputum

Reddit going down for an hour right after the thread went up and discussions were starting to form probably didn’t help the Spice and Wolf karma count either.

CommanderZx2

I figured something like this may happen this season. When shows have a lot of focus on ancillary characters and start pushing them to the forefront the shows tend to drop off in viewers. The same thing happened with Non Non Biyori season 3. The mangas start to put more attention to those side characters or introduce new ones to change things up, but I guess some people just want the focus on the originally established ones.

Zeallfnonex

For Spice and Wolf I wonder if it's similar to the LotGH remake: people loved the old one so much there's no significant drive to watch the remake until they reach new material.

bonerindisguise

I guess economy is still a niche topic that not many find interesting or can follow along. Just here hoping it will regain karma overtime.

Ocixo

The thing is that the latest episode made clear that economics isn’t the only angle to Spice and Wolf’s story. If economics were the sole problem, it wouldn’t have lost so much karma again this week.

climbin_on_things

A lot of people mightve made up their minds off of the episode prior to this one unfortunately

Placeholdered

I was nodding off in the middle of ep 2 because it felt like I was watching an economics textbook. There's no shame in coming back to a show post-discussion period when the other 7 shows I'm watching have finished their respective runs.

Lovealltigers

This week of Spice and Wolf finally made me understand the hype, before I enjoyed it but didn’t necessarily think it was a masterpiece. Now I can understand the love though. Conversely, the bath scene made me immediately drop Seiyuu Radio. Can’t stand scenes that sexualize teenage girl friendships like that, and if they were actually going to put them in a relationship I’d rather it be less fan servicey. Just my opinion though, before that I was enjoying the show

Abschori

The fall in Konosuba last was def due to the leak. Dungeon Meshi is so good, I wish we keep getting this level of quality anime from Trigger when they are done with it.

climbin_on_things

Trigger going Cyberpunk Edgerunners -> Dungeon Meshi is making me really excited for its future.

vantheman9

definitely feels like an upward swing compared to some their weirder projects like Kiznaiver

climbin_on_things

Imo they've had the talent the whole time, they've just needed to... vet their stories harder lol

bonghits96

Agreed. Heck, Kiznaiver *looked* pretty good. It was just a mediocre storyline.

Silent_Shadow05

>Cyberpunk Edgerunner Still hoping for a sequel, even if it has a all new cast. The setting of the story provides a lot of potential after all.

ONE_WORLD_PIECE

I’m with you, I doubt it happens but I’d love more uniquely styled series like Cyberpunk Edgerunner or Arcane

AgentFirstNamePhil

Dynazenon was great!

Ebo87

They had Gridman Universe between those two shows, a sequel movie to SSSS Gridman and Dynazenon. So it wasn't straight from Edgerunners to Dungeon Meshi. And for those not aware Studio Trigger have a single production line, so only one show is being worked on at a time. Edgerunners was finished in May 2022 (came on in September on Netflix), Gridman Universe began production almost immediately after that and finished around December 2022 (at least Trigger's part), movie came out in April 2023. And Dungeon Meshi started production right after they wrapped Gridman Universe and they finished it back in March, a month or so ago. The 2nd OP was probably one of the last things finished on this season of the show. Yes, Trigger are a very well oiled machine, one that understands proper production planning and scheduling. Animation work on most of the episodes was almost done when the show started airing in early January.

grizzchan

Leak but also unlucky timing with infographics getting posted an hour before the discussion thread. Happened both with episode 2 and 3, which really slowes down momentum for the threads.

Hazy_Lights

Windbreaker in top 15! Let's go!!! I've loved this season so far. Dungeon Meshi is easily my favorite, but Loser Ranger and Kaiju are off to great starts.

dododomo

Happy to see Wind breaker in top 15 again. And same, Dungeon is my no1 favorite series of the season hands down

NekoCatSidhe

Weirdly, my favorite show of this season is not even here : Yatagarasu : The Raven doesn't choose his Master. But I think fans of The Apothecary Diaries and Raven of the Inner Palace would enjoy that one. Tonari no Youkai-san is not here either. I would strongly recommend that show to any fans of Studio Ghibli movies and particularly to fans of My Neighbor Totoro. Train to the End of the World is pretty popular and deserves to be. It has been very WTF so far, in a good way. Salad Bowl of Eccentrics is an hilarious reverse isekai comedy, so I am surprised it is not more popular. The Many Sides of Voice Actress Radio went from 10% yuri to 200% yuri in one episode, and the picture unsurprisingly reflects that. But it has also been consistently good so far. Unnamed Memory is a decent adaptation of the original light novels, but also seems to be rushing them, so I don't know how good it will be in the end. I still don't know what to think of Mysterious Disappearances, since it is another WTF show but not necessarily in a good way, but I will keep watching it. And that is all the new shows I am watching this season. Any other underrated shows people would like to recommend ?

daffy_duck233

After Mao Mao, I was expecting Yatagarasu should be pretty popular (because people might miss the court intrigue type of shows).

oops_i_made_a_typi

the flip side is that if its not as good then the contrast can leave ppl disappointed

Akame_xo

Yeah the reason I originally decided to pick it up was to fill the gap left by Apothecary Dairies. It didn’t really do that **but** it’s actually been quite enjoyable. Shame so many people are missing out on it

cppn02

>Weirdly, my favorite show of this season is not even here : Yatagarasu : The Raven doesn't choose his Master. Fantastic show that I wish more people watched. >Salad Bowl of Eccentrics is an hilarious reverse isekai comedy, so I am surprised it is not more popular. We were talking about this in the daily thread this week, especially in comparison to Hinamatsuri which was a big hit. It's really a shame this show is struggling to find an audience.

Spartan05089234

I've been loving Salad Bowl and it does feel a lot like Hinamatsuri but with a better-behaved girl. It's one of my favourites this season.

oops_i_made_a_typi

> especially in comparison to Hinamatsuri which was a big hit. dang that's one way to sell it, colour me intrigued. i always have a list of "B tier" shows that i'm not certain if I'll pick up or not and wait a few weeks to see how it's received early on so might pick that one up. esp since it sounds like Unnamed Memory is an adaptation flop and that was another I was interested in

cppn02

> dang that's one way to sell it, colour me intrigued. It does play out quite differently but the basic setup is very close to Hinamatsuri so that's why it has been inviting these comparisons since the very first episode.

MyraBannerTatlock

I'm not watching many of these this season but Train to the End of the World is my surprise favorite, I'd also recommend Bartender, Astro Note, Wind Breaker and The Fable, I'm also digging Mission: Yozakura Family

_Ridley

> Any other underrated shows people would like to recommend ? Well, since you're another person of taste and refinement who's enjoying Yatagarasu and Youkai-san, I'll suggest the golf anime Tonbo. It's like a cross between Barakamon and Birdie Wing, almost, but quiet. The interactions between the guy in the midst of a midlife crisis and the 13 year old golf prodigy he meets on a tiny island community are pretty sweet. It makes me nostalgic for the times I golfed with my dad.

moichispa

I think that series getting their premiere on streaming delayed to the second week with 2 episodes hits their popularity. It also comes out the same day that the popular battle shonen of the season. Great show, totally recomended

sonicjr

There's something odd about the direction of Mysterious Disappearances that I can't quite put my finger on. On paper it's got everything I should love - mystery, folklore, dark plotlines, just a pinch of fanservice... but the way it's being storyboarded just makes it feel so *slow.* I'm giving it a couple more episodes to see if it picks up, but so far it seems like a swing and a miss to me.

ravenpotter3

I agree! I was very confused why Katagarasu wasn’t even here on the list. I would give it 2 episodes for those who watch, that is when more characters and plot is revealed. Episode 1 was amazing It’s such a unique series

atropicalpenguin

Daaaaaaaamn, will Dungeon make it to the top!?

zenithfury

Of course. Only an elf can live at the top. It is spoken.

Genshin_WhiteKnight

Insane and well-deserved 907 karma jump for **Delicious In Dungeon** after that last episode. Shout-out for some hidden gems of the season that didn't make it onto the list. 4 episodes into both of them and they've actually been great. **Tonari no Youkai-san** * Summary: Follows a newly born yokai finding his place in a world where humans, yokai and gods live side by side. * Heart-warming, emotional and with a strong undercurrent of mystery and lurking darkness. * Watch this if you like Natsume's Book of Friends, Ghibli movies * [Trailer](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9h0pUypVDs8) **Yatagarasu: The Raven Does Not Choose Its Master** * Summary: Historical court drama, but the people can turn into giant crows. * Great blend of fantasy with imperial politics, plus some action on the side. * Watch this if you like The Apothecary Diaries, Raven of the Inner Palace * [Trailer](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VYcxHepEeIU)

tripleaamin

Honestly until I catch up to Black Butler (need to start first lol) Yatagarasu is my favorite Saturday show alongside Tonbo, Jellyfish and Tonari behind it. The politics are very interesting, and I am happy that Yukiya and the Prince are the focused leads rather than the girls as they are much more interesting. The prince is a schemer and I love those type of characters. Yukiya is a great MC so far.

_Ridley

I regret that I can upvote this excellent comment only once. I am pushing the Yatagarasu and Youkai-san agenda in the daily thread every Saturday, and it's nice to see someone pushing it in this thread too. Honestly two of the best new shows this season.

ravenpotter3

Both of them have been my favorites this season (but dungeon Meshi is my number 1) I was confused why they are not on the list. They are both so unique

angelposts

Yokai-san is genuinely one of the best things airing this year, yet alone this season.

anarion321

Love to see Dungeon Meshi climbing, such an amazing anime. I'm still amazed how light they accomplish to make look like such darkness and brutality....

Kyuro090

Gonna love that dungeon meshi picture used there

CAPTAIN_DlDDLES

She’s so pretty

ravenpotter3

I am so hyped that dungeon Meshi is finally getting the hype it has deserved! I am a manga reader and my Roomate is not. I have been so hyped for what happened in this weeks episode! I am so happy they did the monster in the episode justice! My Roomate is loving Kaiju No 8 too. And go go loser Ranger! I only wish that more people would check out Yatagarasu: the Raven does not choose it’s master

shad79

Last episode of **Delicious in Dungeon** thanks to \[Delicious in Dunegon Ep. 17\]>!Falin's appearance was freaking great, tense and brutal but also not without delicious food and a lot of humor!<. I'm a little sad that it wasn't able to take down Mushoku Tensei from the first place as it totally deserved it. Which isn't mean that last episode of **Mushoku Tensei** was bad, on the contrary [it was really great](https://imgchest.com/p/9249am36m7n) with how it handled situation with [Nanahoshi](https://imgchest.com/p/vj4j358x3y8) and it ended with appearance of along un-seen characters, I'm really excited about today's episode. [I'm so happy](https://cdn.imgchest.com/files/w7w6cv9zb8y.png) about **Hibike! Euphonium** improving its result, this show and [Kumiko](https://imgchest.com/p/9249am3xb7n) totally deserves a place in the first ten and much more love as [it's an excellent show](https://imgchest.com/p/5xy2ex2p3yl). [Another hilarious episode](https://imgchest.com/p/md7ol3l327p) of **Konosuba** this week with [Kazuma spending time with Iris](https://imgchest.com/p/9p4n2m2mb4n) in the castle. [Rest of the party](https://cdn.imgchest.com/files/84jdcjzmpr4.png) also [joined him in the capital](https://cdn.imgchest.com/files/wye3cdolng4.png) and next episode for sure will also be great with [Kazuma's party](https://cdn.imgchest.com/files/myd5cr3o2j4.png) staying in the [mansion of noble with whom they're not in the best relations](https://cdn.imgchest.com/files/w7pjcwm9pz7.png) xD I must confess that [Sylpha totally stole my heart on Monday](https://imgchest.com/p/qe4glzb2jyj) which is quite surprising since [Holo](https://imgchest.com/p/ej7mnj5aayd) from **Spice & Wolf** is on the same day and yet somehow [Sylpha was able to do it thanks to her excellent performance](https://imgchest.com/p/qe4glzb2jyj) in **7th Prince**. Meanwhile [it seems to me that pretty much everyone wants to piss of Makoto](https://cdn.imgchest.com/files/w7w6cv28mry.png) from **Tsukimichi** xD First Goddess, then Hyumans and now [Demons](https://cdn.imgchest.com/files/g4z9cwv2z87.png), he doesn't have it easy xD **Train to the End of the World** [doesn't seem to stop and continues to be a very intriguing and fun show](https://imgchest.com/p/pg73p23pjyr). Abysswatcherbel

I follow your advice and included Sapphire chan next do Kumiko and Kanade, now they are all represented

shad79

I noticed that, I hope that everyone was satisfied with that pic :) Now [there are difficult decisions ahead of us](https://cdn.imgchest.com/files/k739c683wg7.png) regarding next week's banner since [we got a lot of great scenes in today's episode](https://imgchest.com/p/dl7pqbqr3yo) with [Kumiko](https://imgchest.com/p/9p4n2a26b4n), [Kanade](https://cdn.imgchest.com/files/p7bwcd8b2x7.png), [Reina](https://cdn.imgchest.com/files/j7kzcbgnxn7.png) or [others](https://cdn.imgchest.com/files/w7pjcw96kr7.png) and I seriously don't know which one is the best xD

MortalWombat5

Should probably tag that Delicious in Dungeon section as spoilers.

shad79

Maybe you're right, although it'd be a little weird to make it a spoiler since the banner already spoiled the fact that she appeared in the newest episode xD But sure, I'll edit it.

Tabby_Tem

HOLY SHIT, the newest episode of Dungeon Meshi was absolutely phenomenal. Trigger cooked. By far, the best episode I've watched this anime season so far. I mean, I've been watching anime since the early 2000s, and it is one of the best episodes of anime that I've seen in general. Which is wild since we're not even halfway through the series and some of my favorite scenes probably won't be until next season. Since I'm a long term fan of the manga, I knew everything that was going to happen and I was still enthralled during the entire duration of the episode. The voice acting, OST, and animation really elevated the source material. Also, the Trigger flare of adding jiggle physics to [Dungeon Meshi Anime Spoiler] >!an Eldritch horror!< was something that I didn't expect lolll.

pessimist_04

Bartender glass of God is unexpectedly quite good if you're looking for a chill anime to watch.mc's va did a good job according to me . What's happening, food anime in their redemption arc?

Phillzstift

Wow, might have to checkout Delicious in Dungeon

ravenpotter3

it’s a feast to the eyes, soul, and brain. It’s a shame we can’t eat the food in real life! I it leaves no leftovers and has such unique flavors that are balanced perfectly if comedy and serious moments

Illustrious-Fox5135

Perfect banner for **Ranger Reject.** Those eyes sure are magnetic I tell you.The show continues to impress every week. **Dungeon meshi** sure is packing up karma. A huge threat for **Mushoku Tensei**. Studio Trigger doing what it does best as always. It's insane how **Train** manages to maintain an average of 1K karma. Understandable since last week's episode sure was insane. The show manages to keep its momentum going and hopefully till the last episode.

Protractror

If trains have one thing going for them, they’re hard to stop once they get some momentum going.

New_Essay_4869

So happy to see Girls Band Cry rising slowly

Legitimate_Advisor59

Yes, I wish it keeps up it's momentum.

Suspicious_Turnip812

Train to the end of the world is great so far, I can't wait for episode 5 to come out!

Tigerzof1

I had no idea Sound Euphonium is back. Where did the season pick off from? Hard to keep track with the seasons and movies

AmusedDragon

The Yuru camp image, lol.

darryledw

Hope to see more love for An Archdemon's Dilemma as the weeks go on, it is a great show, much better than I expected.

SeenMLGTain

Dungeon meshi not getting #1 in any week really triggered me now.

_who_the_fuck_am_I

It really **trigger**ed you huh

Equivalent-Weather59

This week was its best shot at 1st, the only DunMeshi episodes I see competing now are episode 22 and the finale, but I doubt Mushoku Tensei will go down in karma any more this season.

Meta289

I can't see the finale scoring *super* high, since if the season is ending where I think it will, then it's ending on [manga] >!a low-key chapter, with no intense, climactic moments that tend to score well around these parts!<.

Mahelas

By episode 22, do you mean [manga spoilers] >!the griffin soup!< ?

Equivalent-Weather59

yep

SeenMLGTain

dude how are you so quick I literally just commented 2 mins ago @@

Equivalent-Weather59

Oh lmao, I just checked new on this thread and you were the first comment

cppn02

Week 4 of Spring and no show above 4k which has become quite a rare things these days. The last three weeks that had this were Week 1 of Winter '24 where Frieren took a break between cours, Week 11 of Spring '23 which was the blackout week and Week 9 of Spring because the Oshi no Ko episode that week got delayed. Atleast some shows are pretty close to eachother so the rankings shouldn't too static. For example there are just 45 points between 7th and 9th and only 140 points from 10th to 15th. Also happy to see pretty much all of my top 5-6 shows moving up atleast a rank. Well other than **Yatagarasu** which sadly still doesn't make the ranking.

SgtRohn

Despite MT's arguably best episode yet this season, somehow it lost karma lol. I wonder how its karma will look like once the gears are fully in turn for the second half of this cour. I can't wait for it! Dungeon Meshi had a great episode this week as well. However, while source readers were stating that this was going to be its best episode, I find myself disagreeing with them, as the first Red Dragon episode was still better for me. I'm not sure if Dungeon Meshi will have a more intense episode down the line, but if Episode 6 of Mushoku Tensei airs, and no anime still tops it in its first place in the karma rankings, I'm confident no anime will be able to top it this season any longer.

actionfirst1

So glad to see **Train to the End of the World** over 1K, it's such a wild show but you never know what's going to happen next. **Spice and Wolf** has been excellent, I don't know why it fell this week. **7th Prince** has been so much fun too but one thing I think the series is doing well is that the soundtrack has been amazing, haven't seen too many bring that up. Also, if you like male Tsunderes this is a good season for that with both **Wind Breaker** and a new character introduced in **The New Gate**

climbin_on_things

Train to the End of the World is definitely my biggest pleasant surprise of the season, it's hitting a lot of surreal notes so well

actionfirst1

It's so weird but not in a way that ever makes me feel like it doesn't fit. The series begins giving you that expectation that anything in this world can happen and likely will happen

climbin_on_things

Absilutely. The cold open to episode 1 got me primed and ready for literally anything

naastiknibba95

7th prince makes the list 👍👍

juniorjaw

7th Prince joining the left side, hell yeah!

toadfan64

I was happy to see it make the cut. Surprisingly good with great animation so far.

SometimesMainSupport

Obscene amount of right-side support this season. Is that 12 episode images with Bartender, Appraisal, and SxF movie as KV?

Lovealltigers

Shows I dropped this week: Seiyuu Radio. Not a fan of bath scenes with teenage girls groping each other. No judgement to people who watch it, but not my thing Bartender. I think I was hoping for a more episodic series with different people’s stories, which is what the original is if I understand correctly, so I may watch that instead. I found the overall story to be a bit boring and couldn’t find the motivation to watch the newest episode. The vibe was nice, but I didn’t feel connected to the story or characters. Shows I’m still watching: A Condition Called Love: still waiting for more character development from the male lead. I love the female lead though, I just hope she learns to set more boundaries for herself. How to Love Your Elf Bride: I like this one much more than I thought I would. I’m hoping the female mc finds a way to live for herself though, rather than just for her love interest. I’m liking all the characters though! Reincarnated Aristocrat: I’m liking this one actually, again I like the characters and I love how they’re taking people who have the potential to be strong and giving them a chance. Delicious in Dungeon: I’m definitely liking this arc more than the last, but I’m still struggling to actually like the characters. Senshi and Chilchuck are cool enough, but I wish I liked Laios and Marcille more. The world building is amazing though Girls Band Cry: the OP is a banger. But I don’t actually like the MC all that much, maybe she reminds me of myself too much lol. Hope she’ll get some character development because right now I find her kind of whiny 😅 everything else about the show is great though Grandpa and Grandma Turn Young Again: this one’s ok, not my favorite though. I was hoping for more from it Jellyfish Can’t Swim in the Night: the last episode was very enjoyable and I love the character designs. Just a group of friends working together, and it’s really great! Kaiju No. 8: I really don’t know how to feel, I don’t like the art style. But it is pretty funny, even if it gives me second hand embarrassment. Spice and Wolf: latest episode made me understand the hype. Wasn’t super interested in the economics of the world, but I’m loving their dynamic more and more Tadaima, Okaeri: so far a very wholesome show, despite it being omegaverse. Highly doubt we’ll get an anime like this again, and I’m taking any BL I can get lmao The New Gate: might drop, but continuing to watch for now Train to the End of the World: I’m a baby when it comes to horror or screw-with-your-mind shows, but so far this has been at a level I can handle and I’m really enjoying it so far! Unnamed Memory: feels a little unfinished, I can tell there are gaps from the LN that they didn’t include, but otherwise good Whisper Me A Love Song: what I want when I say I want to watch Yuri. Loving it so far! Wind Breaker: usually not my type of anime, but loving the characters. Almost gives Sk8 the Infinity vibes, and that’s one of my favorite animes. Definitely enjoying it!

PeaceAlien

Slime off to a slow start, wonder how the bigger episodes will do.

tripleaamin

I always wonder if following the manga as source rather than the light novels will make it feel too slow for a weekly seasonal. I haven't started reading it yet so it is hard to say. Furthermore, I felt the pacing was fine for the most part, but last episode I could feel the slow pacing. It looks like it will get back on track next week, but honestly TenSura is a series I will hold off and binge unless you really want to follow it weekly like me. Really hope I can find time to read the Ln's.

Silver_Information90

Its adapting the light novel, S3 so far have slower pacing compared to Manga

soulruu

Nice to see Bartender make it Definitely my feel good comfort show this season

actuallyrndthoughts

The banner on the ranger anime is just perfect. A lot of enjoyable anime this season, so i'm gonna do a quick enjoyment tierlist: **Love**: Dungeon Meshi, Spice&Wolf, Loser Ranger, Jellyfish can't swim in the Night, 7th prince, The Fable **Enjoy**: MT2p2, Konosuba, Kaiju no8, Train to the end of the world, Wind Breaker, Salad bowl of eccentrics, Mysterious disappearances, Bartender, Condition called love, Viral hit **Indifferent**: Whisper me a love song, Unnamed memory, Elf bride, Wolf demon wife, Appraisal isekai **Dropped**: Blue Archive, Re:Monster, Astro Note, Ninja Kamui

Mitsuyan_

A brilliant week of quality. Nothing on the level of Tonbo's second episode but some still looking really good. Yuru Camp, Hibike, Appraisal, Meshi, Tonbo (E3 and E4) all really strong.  Shinkalion is being seriously hurt on here by the lack of an official release, there's quite a bit of depth to it.

Ammu_22

Happy to see loser ranger doing well. It's my fav this season.

superintotv

I'm watching the romance ones, but are there any others with a hint of romance I don't know about? The ones I'm watching are A Condition Called Love, Unnamed Memory, Archdemon, Vampire Dormitory, Mushoku Tensei, Studio Apartment, good lighting, Angel Included, The Duke Of Death and His Maid, Whisper me a love song.

SometimesMainSupport

Chillin' in Another World is a 1-on-1 romance. Having read the adapted portion, it's 100% trash isekai, so your choice on if you want to pick it up.

Impossible_Map_4895

Spice and Wolf. Astro Note might have some romance later in the season too but its mainly comedy at the moment.

scycon

Someone license girls band cry and let it cook already.

ModieOfTheEast

So I know, people are usually talking about the anime in this thread and why they think some anime might have to be rated higher, but I thought, I do something different this week and I am rating the actual discussion threads. These rankings do not necessarily reflect my stand on the anime itself (though if I am not interested in an anime at all, I am not visiting the thread either), but how much fun the discussions are. So here are my favourite threads from the last week: 1. A Condition called love --> I really enjoy this thread, because in comparison to most discussion threads, it's actually a bit split specifically on the male lead. And this is something that I think is fun. Furthermore, people are actually open to other opinions, even if they don't agree with them (completely) which results in people actually sharing their honest thoughts without just the basic things being upvoted the most which you see in most threads. 2. Train to the End of the World --> The number of comments already proves it, but people are really having fun in discussing. The theories might not always turn out to be right, but it's not like people take it too seriously when their theory turns out to be wrong. And at the same time, people who got it right don't harp on it (though to be fair, there was only one or two discussion threads where I felt this was truly a problem to begin with). Lastly, the theories are also very creative while also going in depth into the details. 3. (Honorable Mention) Mystrious Disappearances and A Salad Bowl of Eccentrics --> Both shows are not that popular, but the thread is still enjoyable. There is a good amount of discussing the content and just having fun with either the big "plot" beats of the first one or the jokes of the second one. And since I need a bit controversy here, there are two discussion threads that I stopped visiting despite still quite enjoying the show: Girl's Band Cry and Jellyfish can't swim in the night. In both cases, the reason is the same. Since the shows got a bit weaker after their original fantastic opening episode, you can imagine what happened if you dared to say anything like that. Even if most of a comment would still be positive. Btw, this is exactly why my favourite discussion thread from last season was Gushing over Magical Girls. While the anime is full on ecchi, the thread was actually really wholesome for the most part. Even when going against the popular opinion and directly criticising certain parts without sugarcoating it, people would start a discussion and you might just reach a point where you agreed to disagree without anyone flaming you for having that opinion.

Kirigaya_Mitsuru

Sad to see spice and wolf losing karme is one of my fave anime all time. And i need to catch up many animes, like mushoku tensei, konosuba and delicious in dungeon. (Still just watched first season of mushoku)

Tranquil_Neurotic

I am saddened that both Sound Euphonium and Yuru Camp sequels can't make it to top 10, I get it now that most of buzz is generated by younger folks who only seem to have watched last 2-3 yrs of anime at max. And other being Slice Of Life as well.Still I was surprised when the Karma wasn't even reaching 1k.

TheMacarooniGuy

It's not that surprising tbh that Hibike isn't getting all that much buzz since you literally need to watch like 2 seasons + 3 movies just to get to where the story is now. The premise itself isn't all that interesting for the majority of people since there's not a lot, especially anime watchers, who like classical music. I don't really mind though, Kyoto Animation has done a great job so far and it's definitely worthwhile to watch, you just gotta take that first leap and dare to watch something almost completely unique. But well, it's Kyoani and they just literally never miss, I'm just wondering really what they'll do after Hibike.

IceAnt573

A modest +493 gain in overall karma from last week. This has to be the closest that Delicious in Dungeon has gotten yet to obtaining 1st in the karma rankings with a +907 increase in karma to land at over 3.5k karma and be less than 400 karma away from Mushoku Tensei's 3.9k karma. The first non-leaked episode of KonoSuba on the karma chart sees a +582 karma increase from last week to be at 2.8k karma and move up to 3rd for the rankings. Spice & Wolf continuing to be at over 2k karma and Ranger Reject increasing its karma from last week are also nice things to see. Impressed with Train to the End of the World increasing its karma to be over 1k for this week since it didn't feel like this original series received much fanfare going into the season compared to the show it is one spot below. A 1 karma difference between Whisper Me a Love Song and Hibike! Euphonium S3 to decide 10th and 11th is something I find personally amusing. Also a congratulations to Date A Live V for finally being Top 30 (again after Episode 1) in /r/anime's karma chart at 28th with 394 karma. ____ Favorite banner for this week: Ranger Reject for Suzukiri (again) and Yuru-Camp S3 for funny scared Nadeshiko face.

Calwings

>Impressed with Train to the End of the World increasing its karma to be over 1k for this week since it didn't feel like this original series received much fanfare going into the season compared to the show it is one spot below. Probably because it blew people away with how *absolutely batshit fucking insane* it is, and then word of mouth spread about the show and more people checked it out.

Ebo87

No, Dungeon Meshi was number 1 in week 1 of Winter 2024. Granted, Frieren and Solo Leveling were not on the karma ranking that week, but still, that was an impressive showing from Dungeon Meshi first episode. And this episode actually got more karma than episode 1. That being said, this is probably as close as anything will get this season to Mushoku Tensei S2. And it looks like Dungeon Meshi has solidified its as THE number 2 show of the season, much like what Apothecary did last season against Frieren. There are a lot of very big names Dungeon Meshi is currently beating week after week, lol, and will continue to do so even with My Hero and Demon Slayer returning in May. As long as Dungeon Meshi can keep that 2.5k or higher it seems to be doing the last couple weeks.

IceAnt573

Impressive in a week with 14k overall karma during a transition period from the Fall 2023 season to the Winter 2024 season? I'm not sure I agree. But I am impressed by this episode's karma beating that Episode 1 karma. I don't think the karma lead is so massive that KonoSuba can't win 2nd over Dungeon Meshi this season. Interested in how that will play out.

Ebo87

I meant the number was impressive for that episode, not getting number 1 that week. Kaiju no8 had a lower number for its premiere and getting over 3k these days on r/anime is harder than it seems.

angelposts

I am begging you all on my hands and knees to check out Tonari no Yokai-san. If Saturday is too full, just wait and watch it on Tuesdays or Wednesdays or something. It's like if Ghibli made a TV anime in terms of vibes. And we have a gay car.

BluZero0

Falin Noo!!

Labmit

Interesting picture for the Train to the Other World anime. Also, Blue Archive got screwed by the mods.

LeonKevlar

I love how the banner for **Mushoku Tensei** makes it look like Linia and Pursena are laughing at Rudy's crotch. xD Glad to see **7th Prince** jumping up 4 places after last week's episode. Definitely well-deserved. Also glad to see **Wind Breakier** make it to the Top 15.

PeaceAlien

Interested to see how Kaiju does. It’s been promoted so much, but I’m not sure the popularity is maintaining here.

Silent_Shadow05

Anecdotal experience but I see a lot of people talking about it and sharing the moments in IG Reels. Not all watchers use Reddit after all.

pessimist_04

I was expecting archdemon's delimma to be a bit higher up in the list considering the story progression so far and the cliffhanger at the end of the last one recently but well we will be back next week to see where it stands

cooked_Novoice

My god, why does date a live V not get the attention

link2sword2-

Looking back at these posts no one talks about tsukimichi, which is kinda weird to me. I mean I'd be even fine with people saying they don't like it but it's like the show doesn't exist despite being in the top 15

ComfortableNinja88

just you see wind breaker rise up from now on because the next few episodes are going to be bangers

Takeshi07Tan

Girls band cry mention let's ggooooooo🔥

Fantastic_Donkey_151

DND is fantastic 😊

IntellectualBoss

People need to start watching Fable.

Ambrusia

So does Mushoku tensei get good at any point? So fsr it's been shallow worldbuilding and fetish content, with a couple of half heartedly written characters and arcs that go nowhere. I have absolutely no clue why it gets called a masterpiece BUT I'm willing to be surprised. Then again, this is the sub thst calls Monogatari a masterpiece so maybe I'm barking up the wrong tree.

tripleaamin

Really hoping that Meshi can get one number 1 spot before it finishes airing. It is absolutely up there for AOTY alongside Frieren & Apothecary and would put it behind Freiren personally. Anyone not watching is really missing out. Regarding 7th Prince I really like the magic system and even Lloyd's psycho personality is great with how obsessed he is with magic. The fan service with the girls really put me off. Lloyd's design is one issue, but I can deal with that. But considering the fact that Lloyd is 10 years old and when his older brother mentioned last episode "Sylpha looks at you as a man." It was at that point I figured it's just better to drop it at this point since it is making feel uncomfortable. It is a shame I love the dynamic with Lloyd with both Grim and his older brother as well to add on. Love to see the jump for Train to the End of the World for it to get above 1K karma. Such a crazy fun adventure with these 4 girls on their journey to find Youko. The mystery element is really well done. Also love seeing Girls Band Cry continuing to deal well even without a simulcast. They're doing a great with fleshing out the dynamic between the girls.

Maalunar

> Really hoping that Meshi can get one number 1 spot before it finishes airing. IMO that was the best Dungeon Meshi episode we'll have this season. There is another peak one coming, but Mushoku will be on one of its most popular arc at that time so I doubt it will lost the #1 spot to it.

salic428

Weekly shoutout to *GIRLS BAND CRY*. Hanada Jukki\* cooked again. \* ^(the *YoriMoi* writer. He's also tackling the adaptation of *Euphonium* this season.)
