On the album Selected Ambient Works Volume II, A man named Greg Eden gave every song a ‘semi-official’ title to each song that everyone agreed on. the album songs appear as numbers in order from 1 to 24, but most fans know the songs as the semi official names given to them. On Apple Music, some songs actually have the semi official name given to them listed as the actual song name.
Some fun facts that come off the top of my head:
Syro's title is a short version of syrobonkus, a word one of Richard's kids came up with.
Richard allegedly did a DJ set one time where he pit a mic in a blender.
The analogue bubblebath series is made of 4 EPs, 1 and 2 being the 1st 2 records he ever released. There is however a 5th entry. Test pressings were made in 1995 but would never be released to the public until there were shipping issues with Analord 10. He literally just gave out a long lost album as an apology for a shipping delay.
DJing with the blender/mic as one deck and a sandpaper record on the other deck..
Threw the blender into the crowd and it hits some dude in the head.. after the show he (James) sees the guy thinking he's gonna be pissed about being beaned but he just wanted the blender signed.
That and the bank/tank stuff.
I'm not sure on the legitimacy of this fact, but I think Ventolin was made by Aphex as part of a little competition he had with fellow IDM artist u-Ziq, where they had to try and make the most irritating song possible; u-Ziq's entry was Mr. Angry.

I had most of that set played at my wedding as intro music and had no idea they had names haha
