Fun fact the director left his wife who sang in the opera scene to get with Milla and briefly marry her. Then she left him to marry a different director.
I get chills every single time I watch this. “Stay Alive!!! …” just takes my breath away every time. Went to Asheville and hiked the park where it was filmed. Such a beautiful park.
Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
Adding a little edit: One of my absolute favourite things is that the only reason they used coconuts is they couldn't afford renting horses for the movie.
Been up and down this whole thread looking for a movie to rewatch and you've decided my night. It's truly a classic and I kick myself it's been like a decade since I last saw it
When this came out on video one of my housemates nicked it from blockbusters. We didn’t have any other videos. We had it on loop in the background of our lives for at least six months.
The 90’s. Absolutely loved them.
Shawshank is a perfect movie imo. It could be on mute and I’d still stare at the cinematography. That being said, have you ever seen the trailer? It is terrible and probably cost them millions.
Shawshank, the Hunt for Red October, and the Princess Bride are three movies I can’t pass when I see them on TV.
"the head was placed on London bridge the arms and legs sent to the four corners of Britain a warning. It did not have the effect that long shanks planned."
Honestly, that's not even a challenge for me. If I love a movie, I have no trouble watching repeatedly. The Indiana Jones Trilogy, The first 7 Star Wars movies, Leon The Professional, The Little Mermaid, Grease and Grease 2, Smokey and the Bandit, Begin Again, Mean Girls, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Nightmare Before Christmas, Edward Scissorhands, Beetlejuice, Ferris Bueller, Can't Buy Me Love, Big Trouble In Little China, Goonies, Gremlins, The Brothers McMullen, I could really go on.
A bunch, but my favorite movie ever is Tremors.
Jurassic Park, Jaws, Lord of the Rings trilogy, Indiana Jones and The Raiders of the Lost Arc and also the Last Crusade.
Home Alone I know it’s Christmas only but I can literally reply that all day and won’t get tired. I’ve watched it more than every other movie out there.

Groundhog Day, or it least it feels like I’ve seen it over and over again.

The Ride of the Rohirrim scene in RotK is honestly enough to make me cry.
