If you intend to keep for the long term odd lots doesn't matter.
There will be a secondary unit market for odd lots. You can sell off the 40 or purchase 60 shares from there.
Depends if your brokerage lets u sell odd lots, additional charges may apply.
UOB Kayhian and Fundsupermart (FSMONE) allows for odd lots trading.

Vickers should be able to do odd lot, just that the spread may be bigger. Imo dbs can hold LT no need to sell
