I think itās bc one of the few moments we got from him was a super fād up yet important scene in the show. Like a lot of them folks went down terribly, but his was really just wrong place wrong time. Then to be killed by your comrades, AND to find out the secret theyāve been hidingā¦ just sooo damn sadš

Remember that Grisha the one who said that line, when he's giving the Titans to Eren, and the line before that is... "You have to master THIS POWER, to save Mikasa and Armin". At first the audience was meant to think the "power" means Titan power, but it's actually Attack Titan's power of Future Memories.

We didn't even get his backstory until he died LOL. The fandom can be way too critical sometimes and it's annoying. I hate it.
We got his backstory way before he died, and he was an extremely central character ever since he was introduced. We never went a large period of time without seeing him do something important.

I'd say Uri Reiss. He's pretty damn popular in the Levi fanbase because he's usually portrayed as Kenny's calm husband that tries to act as a mediator between their conflicts in fanfiction.

Nope it was mid season 2 iirc. But besides that she almost showed up in every episode till season 4 happened. I mean she is also one of my favourites but there are chars that got way less screentime

Petras death was the first time a character died and I thought "Sheesh.. that was fucked up" especially after her dad was talking with Levi about how they were getting married
Porco. I like that he was bamboozled by why the scouts werenāt afraid of him. He was a ājust doing my jobā kind of guy. I also liked his dynamic with Reiner and the consequent reveal about Marcel. Marcel didnāt do as much for me, but he was still neat.
Miche. What a legend. The strongest non-Titan/Ackerman human. Took on 9 Titans (including the beast Titan) without proper cover or vantage points to properly use ODM gear. All in order to give the other soldiers more time to get away and earn more civilians. Guy still killed 5 by himself and was about to leave only to get caught off guard by the beast Titan throwing a horse at him, (WHICH HE DODGED!) but then was unlucky enough to fall into the mouth of another Titan. And even with nothing else to lose he was ready to challenge the beast with broken legs and no gear.
Potato girl. What was her name again? The one whose death absolutely ***traumatized*** half the fan base, despite her being an entirely forgettable character that was entirely inconsequential to the story.
I was coming here literally to say Marco. Poor kid didnāt deserve what he got, but when he was shown he was always such a positive, forward-thinking person with amazing potential. His personal impact on the 104th is such that, despite the fact that Annie, Reiner, and Bertholdt are technically the enemy, they openly weep and mourn his loss after they betray him. Thatās why Marco has such a lasting impact on fans- because he had such an impact on the 104th. They never forget him, so why should we?
