Their banh mi is such a hit

momish_atx

I stopped going after the original owners retired. I didn't realize it was still good. I'm looking forward to trying it this week.

rwwl

For like 20+ years now, right?

runningsucksgetabike

Making it yourself isn’t hard, just need one of those little steeper thingies, condensed milk and coffee. I think most places use cafe du monde coffee grounds. That said, tan my never misses

HoboJonRonson

You’re correct: Cafe du monde is the standard, but if you can’t find that for some reason, you could go with any dark roast coffee, really. And the Vietnamese coffee makers are only a couple of bucks. Super easy brew process. You’ll be in business in no time!

runningsucksgetabike

Yeah I have a can of Cafe Bustelo grounds that I’m running through right now, tastes fine. Not as good as du monde but I just add more condensed milk haha

Ladymysterie

You can also buy the frozen concentrate at Costco or any of the Asian markets. I've always been partial to Lee's.

runningsucksgetabike

Costco won’t show me the price bc I’m not a member, but I’m seeing another site that advertises $120 for a 24 pack. Pass, lmao.

Ladymysterie

I swear it's like $20 or $25 for a pack of 6 or 4 can't remember. It's a couple of dollars each at 99 ranch.

runningsucksgetabike

Yeah that sounds grossly expensive when you can make a better version of it for yourself at home for like $.75

Ladymysterie

Convenience or being lazy (two sides of the same coin) 🤣

runningsucksgetabike

Haha I respect that

laurieislaurie

Pate or no?

CalzoneNguyen

The One Pho got the best banh mi with pate and viet butter in it

Supersecretsword

Now I just want a late bahn mi

sharpecheddar

Sip pho or pho please

No_Bell2574

Yes!!!🙌🏼

Tunaonwhite

I like the Vietnamese coffee at genbobabee a lil north of there in Chinatown, I think they add hazelnut. Bambu dessert, fresh tofu, baguette house and sip n munch on parmer all serve it.

Thank you!
