Yes! I have had nine cats in my life. Five at the most at one time. Anyway, my cats have all been old for quite a number of years but eventually they all died and I was without a cat for about 6 months. Moved and within 2 months I adopted a mother-daughter pair. I forgot what it was like to have younger cats! The oldest of these two is probably three. I came downstairs the other morning and my plants had been pulled off the windowsill and pulled out so the roots were just exposed and there was dirt all over the counter. I just cleaned the windowsill off so now they have full access as they should.

Yes, it's a bit of a lottery too ! They have always gotten along well and played and loved each other since the beginning (although they have wrecked everything in their path playing haha

In fact it seems to be so but actually I found her in December in the street 🥺 and he appeared in a Club lost in a tree and was a day without coming down from the scare. He cried a lot back then until after vaccinating him he met Sally and never left her side. They are Jack and Sally🖤

I do find having two cats is better than one. Obviously double the love but they also entertain each other, protect each other, clean each other, and generally love each other. Especially if you get them together when they are young, or even litter mates.

Well if you're going to get a bigger house then you may as well get one that can accommodate 14 extra cats. Just saying.

Oh no😭 it breaks my heart. Then I thought "he only used the cat to not feel lonely and as soon as he found a replacement, no way the other one " hahaha 😂

We had to do something as he was crossing busy roads and got attacked by a dog, but he would always be back home when we got home from work, so we didn’t know for awhile!

How good that they were able to pay attention to his attitude and acted before something very serious happened or he didn't come back! You are great parents❤️

I adopted two cats last week, but while I was looking at rescue cats I noticed that many shelters would specify that if you did not already have a cat in the home, you needed to adopt two.

Good to hear from people who know about it. Mine was more of a mother's instinct haha seeing her so many hours alone and so loving and also when I found out that a lost cat showed up and was up in a tree for a whole day it just broke my heart. I needed to give her my love😭

My cat was the only cat child I had so I got him two sisters (don't worry everyone's fixed) & those sisters seemed like they needed a friend to even out the numbers so my cat got two cats that got a cat. Now we're at max catpacity & couldn't be happier. Everyone's happier in a group.

We adopted a bonded pair, not from the same litter, they just buddied up in the shelter. One is a calico with typical calico sassy attitude, the other is black (a ghost tabby, actually) and just a lovable, cuddly goof. It became very clear right away that we didn't adopt two cats. We adopted the calico as our pet, and she came with a pet of her own.
