Some of the blurry grass poking out of snow kind of looks like pastel, but everything above the tail is definitely a photograph. I call shenanigans, although a picture of the drawing partially finished or sitting in on a table or otherwise existing in space as an object and I might be convinced.

There’s a video on his Instagram (same username) of him making the squirrel. It’s amazing and also….OP looks *a lot* like The Deep from the show The Boys, so now my head canon is that he chose pastel art as part of his healing journey :}

Not saying this is (or isn’t)legit, but I’ve seen drawings that look like photos. Take a look at some of the drawings by Kent Bellows. One of my kids took art at his studio and I swore the pix on the wall were photos - but they were drawings. (Granted, they were black & white) Edited for clarification
