I’d be wary of wear and tear on the fabric and the metal from aging, and I’d be interested to see kiddo in it to see what their position is like. Frankly if you’re super into hiking, I’d just look for a newer secondhand hiking carrier, and in general I’d look into back wearing carriers since your baby is older now.

Yeah. Looks super cool. Wouldn’t put my kid in it though.

I don't really understand what I'm looking at but I hike alot with my 2.5 yr old and 7 month old. I still hike with the baby on my front in either a buckle carrier, a stretchy or a woven wrap. I think for hiking I would wait a couple months to back carry in the beco carrier but that's probably the most comfortable option.

I wouldn’t go hiking with baby world facing in a carrier. It really throws off your center of gravity, in addition to a lot of negatives for baby: https://boba.com/blogs/boba-reads/nine-reasons-not-to-carry-your-baby-facing-out Definitely look into a newer hiking backpack or a standard carrier for back wearing if you don’t like your Gemini for that. I second rbecg’s comment about being weary of the fabric age, and I’d also question what kind of position that puts baby’s hips in. It looks quite narrow like their groin will be supporting all of their weight which can lead to chafing and friction burn.
