+1 for both domesticity and open works.

All of these are great suggestions, also throwing in a new place, Handicraft Happy Hour - 3600 Clipper Mill Road Ste 117 in Hampden. I've heard a few good things, and I'm headed there for (part of) their happy hour on Wednesday.

multicrafty

I second Handcraft Happy Hour, although I haven’t taken a class there yet. I too plan to be at a happy hour on Wednesday, but not this next one!

i'm going to an intro sewing class there next Thurs! it was only $60 to sign up

dudical_dude

I took an intro class at Open Works a few years back

It’s not Baltimore but if you have a car my class at Three Little Birds sewing in Hyattsville was fantastic!

MaximumNice39

I didn't know I needed this! Thanks for asking. I signed up for the next class at domesticity (???) I want to eventually make my costs. I can never find what I want. Olivia Pope has inspired me.

I have sewing classes in Mount Rainier.. I am moving my business to Baltimore eventually. You can check me out at www.sewsewchic.com.. I also do private classes.. I teach beginner, intermediate, and advanced. I also teach leatherworks /bag making, jean making, and bra making. Let me know if you need to know more.
