No brainer for me! Picked up this grail card and can only dream about upgrading in this lifetime
Dude seriously like the guy was one of the best of his era and over 500 homers. Almost no one talks about him i NEVER hear his name mentioned anywhere.
Cool. I need to upgrade my Reese as well but at least we still have the card. I actually don’t own any 38 Goudey but my goal is to get a Foxx within the next year.
Yeah, I’d wait until they have the reslab monthly deal again and do it then.
I had a couple goals at the beginning of the year, build out a couple small PSA registries, try to add to the Bob Gibson PC, sell off none PC items & try to get my stack of raw PC cards graded. I’m slowly accomplishing these goals.
I did this last year. Was an incredible chase.

Yeah, over the past few months I kinda went nuts and I’ve picked up a Goudey Ruth, t206 Cobb (bat off shoulder) and ‘53 Topps Jackie and Satchel cards. All low grades but needless to say, I’m pretty much done for a while haha
The '61 Mantle is one of the nicest cards in his Topps collection. He looks like a conquering hero.
Goals for this year include a '67 Seaver. Er. Koosman. And maybe a '64 Rose 🌹
I agree. Rarely do I pick up 60’s cards in a 1 or 2 but my motto is any Mantle you can get for 100 dollars you take. Seaver is definitely on my long term list. Got the 64 Rose this year, one of the nicest cards ever in my opinion.
I’m down to needed two cards for my Hank Aaron run. The 1954, and a mid 60’s that is escaping me. I’m really hoping to pick up the 54 this year. I may go for a 54 auto.
Most corners and surface make grades go down. For cards this old some of the grades aren’t bad like the 1911 Huggins and 57 Clemente. Mantles have paper loss and corner wear. Spahn has surface issues. I still like these examples though.

I'm just getting back into collecting, so I am going to get a few more late 70s cards to sort of finish my collection from when i was 17. And then start trying to get a collection of the classic players if possible.
A George Brett rookie is my next goal

He’s definitely an all time great that you rarely hear anyone talk about. At least his cards are affordable for how good of a player he was.

I’d love to get a Killebrew, Yount, or a Joe Morgan rookie before the end of the year. Probably be able to check one of them off but we’ll have to see

6 for Killebrew, 8 for Yount, and 7 for Morgan

Yeah they’re expensive also got the Wagner this year. Would love to add the DiMaggio and Ted one day, among others.
