This was all a distraction scenario that successfully caused the Florida coach to not review a play at third that would've been overturned. If it had been reviewed, TAMU wouldn't have scored a run on a passed ball during the next at bat. Florida lost by one run. Truly a genius gambit deployed by the TAMU coaching staff they deserve the W.

Having lived in Texas since 1995, I can say that the A&M alumni are consistently reprehensible. It’s a weird cult that operates in a cocoon of circular reasoning: if they do it, it is by definition morally justified. The whole toy soldier thing is the creepiest thing in college sports and their campus has all of the charm of a federal penitentiary.
A central tenant of the cult is an insistence that A&M has some sort of track record of football excellence and tradition that puts them on a level with the likes of Alabama, Oklahoma, Notre Dame, U Texas, USC, Nebraska (20th century 🤣) and Penn State, yet they haven’t won a national championship since 1939.

The College World Series is such a joyful event. So many great fan / alumni groups have become honorary Omahans. So many have come to town and treated it and the Series as the spiritual event that it is. It is always a couple of weeks of everything wonderful about college sports and the great game of baseball.
And then a couple of “proud Aggies” came along- and judging by the seats, they are most likely either insiders or wealthy donors- and took a great big dump all over it. And they certainly wanted the world to know what school they represented.
