The star card has always been “worth more” than the fleer. Price guides going back over 30 years have had it valued more. The new turning poing is authentication. Beckett and now PSA are grading a highly counterfeited card such that people are more comfortable buying it.

When PSA started grading them. People think they’re all fakes, but only the 1985 and later had reissues. When then you can spot the reissues easily due to border color.
