I fixed it. In one of the log files, it said something about batocera.conf (if I'm not mistaken).
Anyhow, that file has all the game specific launch options. One line only had part of the name of a game. I made backup of the file, then removed the Line, saved, reloaded games list.
Strange though, I hadn't played the mentioned game in a while. Not sure how this could have happened to the file.
v39 sucks, use v38.
Is it easy to get it on the drive? Without formatting again 🤣
go with a fresh start
You can replace the boot partition without wiping userdata partition. Some things might break if you replace with v38, though.
