The other day Robert said he wasn't familiar with the Casey Anthony case and I immediately thought that Nancy would be a great episode to connect with the forensics episodes!
There needs to be a separate podcast all about her and the damage she's done to this country. How many demeanor convictions did we get because of this ghoul?
You're Wrong About did an episode on her.

Yeah I think that's right. I think she claims it inspired her to become a lawyer. Then she became a bad movie villain level overzealous prosecutor who was doing all kinds of questionable things and ended up disbarred.
Do you have a source on her having been disbarred? I don't see that on her Wikipedia article nor does a Google search for "Nancy Grace disbarred" seem to turn anything up.
I had a pop scare from her a couple of weeks ago. I was out at my aunt’s house to do some things around the yard for her, and she had some Lifetime Original Movie type shit on the TV. At some point, it transitioned to a new “movie,” and one of the opening credits was “based on characters created by Nancy Grace” or some shit, and I’m pretty sure I audibly rolled my eyes…
I live outside the USA, so all I get on BTB is ads for other podcasts, mostly true crime. Honestly, I'm comforted to know others are also skipping over that Nancy Grace crap
That ad is wild. I had no idea who she was, but my reaction was always, "I don't trust you, lady. You sound like a horrible person." I'm glad I can trust my gut.
Me too. I miss Michael Hobbes’ contribution to the show. Don’t get me wrong, Sarah Marshall is wonderful, but the dynamic between her and Michael was top notch.
You're thinking of Maintenance Phase and yeah it's a mess. I had to stop listening to it while I was trying to lose weight because they love "debunking" anything to do with weight loss and health.
I get there's a battle for fat people to exist in the world without constant shaming and hatred, but it's a real "becoming a monster to fight monsters" situation.
as much as I like IBCK, it also has the odd episode that definitely has some *issues* when it comes to proper representation of information and facts.
the double-parter about "Nudges" was particularly bad for this, considering there's a full robust body of scientific studies into systems of choice architecture and the working of "nudges" that show that the idea itself is structurally sound and can work well if implemented with forethought and care. they basically used that one partially poorly written book to poopoo the entire idea in and of itself and declare the cases of it having been shown to work as inconclusive or "statistically insignificant" (Hobbes *REALLY* likes to do that, A LOT) even though the thinking behind it is sound and works, even if you're not a libertarian weirdo.
I think that podcast took a nose dive in quality after one of the original hosts left. I remember listening to one of those episodes about true crime and its impact after the host left, and it was just, "I think it's bad for people!" Maybe they've tightened it up since then?

Ron White has a bit where he mentions her in brief. He accidentally swallowed a fake tooth and needed to excrete it in a time crunch. Said he took laxatives but was losing steam until he picture the toilet was Nancy Grace's mouth and if you do that, "You can get through it."
For sure she is a bastard. She has a sad story and seemingly went crazy after her fiance, I believe, was murdered. She made it her mission to talk about this but did so in the worst way possible and has become a monster in her own right. Of course there is a high chance she was always a monster.
No… she’s much worse than that. Her history of prosecutorial misconduct alone is worth a couple episodes at least. Then taking her grift to a national audience to help foster the idea that anyone accused of a crime is a guilty monster and defense attorneys shouldn’t exist… she’s done/does a lot of damage.
People only really know her for her time in the media, which indeed isn't "bastards" worthy, just another moron on their soap box, but her life before TV is why she IS a "bastard" and totally deserves at least an episode.
yep - Nancy and the woman's guilty conscience -- [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Death\_of\_Melinda\_Duckett](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Death_of_Melinda_Duckett)
Not to mention making her national name right before jumping to Headline TV trying to wrongfully convict a guy, which I think gets mentioned in Junk Science. The guy was a rich asshole but he didn’t actually murder his wife despite Grace knowingly trying to falsely convict him. She just happened to pick on someone with money, so it didn’t work.
I know about her fiance being killed and her crimes as a prosecutor. The reason I don't think she's interesting is maybe because I know too many people like her? The misconduct she did seems pretty ordinary (unfortunately). Maybe use her as the launch pad to talk about why the prosecutorial system is so fucked?
I know it’s not the worst thing she’s done, but I continue to be pissed off about how she treated Elizabeth Smart in an interview with her. Smarmy and awful, completely ignored Smart’s boundaries in search of salacious details.
Yeah I feel like she's in the same cauldron of bastard Fox News anchor where they're all part of some bastard machine but individually not that interesting.
My dad told me he ended up next to her on a plane one time. She was practically begging him to recognize her and he pretended he didn't know who she was because he wanted nothing to do with her. She then started talking at him, very proud of herself, and he responded with, "hey, that's great, but I need to get some sleep," and popped on his sleep mask to get some rest.
Also the ad is totally unhinged. It’s says something like “You think it will never happen to you, but I guarantee that it will.” It almost sounds like a threat.
I'm pretty sure there's enough material for a two-parter on just her, but, if not, an overview episode on true crime grifters would be great. (Although a little ironic since I think BtB often gets categorised as a true crime podcast.)
I’m not sure how the rest of you get ads as I’m not in America but every BtB episode break for me has a goddamn Nancy Grace podcast ad in it. Her voice is annoying as fuck and even though I never heard of her I immediately knew this was the woman behind all the telly show depictions of these scrupulous characters that sensationalise these tragic cases in the most exploitative way possible. I’d love an episode on her
I was just relistening to the last podcast on the left episodes about Casey Anthony and she came up. She made a lot of money off the death of that child.
I've been holding a brick with her name on it for years. Looking to mod my gallon tank to fit my super soaker now. I'd love to have this episode on in the background while i do what must needs be done.
Hate really does a number on your appearance, I mean I dont think how people look matters or should be judged, but tell me you dont look her in the eye and just have a small twinge of anxiety. Women looks like the Omen kid.
My mother looks like Nancy Grace and Donald Trump had a hateful baby.
Needless to say, I'm not a big fan of my mother. But it adds a whole other dimension of revulsion when I see Nancy Grace or Donald Trump.
Wow, you have my sympathies mate, thats rough, my dad kinda looks like Saddam Hussain I get ya. Honestly more than just appearance I tend to find kind people tend to have a certain glow and warmth regardless of appearance, and hateful people also regardless of appearance have the stare of a fucking viper and trigger the base fear twinge in you.
I just watched that, she cannot handle any criticism at all, can she? And zero regrets about any of the shows she's done? None at all? She can go fuck herself.
Such a trash human! We don’t get much of her in Australia, but one of her shows is about to air here. Every time I see her face on my tv a yell “oh fuck off Nancy”. My husband has no idea who she is and thinks I’m nuts. God she evil! Robert needs to do an episode on her.
Nancy Grace, a woman totally lacking anything resembling a moral compass. I was hoping to never hear her name again. I would nominate her to be the poster child representing everything that has gone wrong with this country in the last 40 years. To be realistic there is a lot of competition for that position.
Btb and NG both have podcasts distributed by iHeart though. If they were going to cover NG, consideration would have to be given to how that might affect their business.
I just started listening to the Nicolau Ceaucescu series and her ad started to play, followed by a squawk and then another ad played in its place. It was hilarious and satisying and I found this thread trying to find more details about this
The whipped cream on top is the previous episode ended with an ad for the Milwaukee Police Department recruiting.
Cue me scrolling Reddit. Cue Nancy's Joker face rising into my screen. Cue me doing the Hank Hill "BWAAAA."
She could use a good propane tank to the face, I tell ya what.
H’what
For real this was a legit jump scare!!
The other day Robert said he wasn't familiar with the Casey Anthony case and I immediately thought that Nancy would be a great episode to connect with the forensics episodes!
TOTMOM!
when she said the daughter's name it all ways sounded like "KILL-y"
OMg yes!
I would love that, if only because she keeps advertising her podcast to me through BtB 😂
There needs to be a separate podcast all about her and the damage she's done to this country. How many demeanor convictions did we get because of this ghoul?

Thanks, I'll check it out!
Came to the comments to recommend this, too.
Thought it was Amy Pohler playing a character for a minute
She could do it now you mention it.
She did do it.
I'm not a big fan of Amy; but if she did a Nancy Grace parody, I would watch it
I would too out of bizarre curiousity, but I'd probably regret it.
You're in luck. SNL.
You're in luck. SNL.
Talking as if she's gonna wipe out crime and then crime will be over forever. Fear mongering. Can't stand her.
She'd be a good candidate for sure. IIRC, she had a fairly sad and sympathetic backstory but obviously she later became a monster.
Yes, I believe her fiancé was murdered?
Yeah I think that's right. I think she claims it inspired her to become a lawyer. Then she became a bad movie villain level overzealous prosecutor who was doing all kinds of questionable things and ended up disbarred.
Do you have a source on her having been disbarred? I don't see that on her Wikipedia article nor does a Google search for "Nancy Grace disbarred" seem to turn anything up.
I'll try to find it. I noticed it wasn't on her wiki. I'm pretty sure I heard it on the Citations Needed podcast.
Friendly reminder that CNN is responsible for this woman, Lou Dobbs and Tucker Carlson.
Don’t forget Glenn’magical underwear’Beck.
TOT MOM!
*LITTLE JOHN DAVID!!!*

I'm glad that I am not the only one who had a visceral reaction to being served Nancy Grace ads on BTB breaks 👀
Didn't you're wrong about do an episode on her?
Didn't I what now?
The podcast "You're Wrong About" Looks like they have a 4-part series on her from 2020
Loved this podcast until they changed to an interview format.
Me too. I miss Michael Hobbes’ contribution to the show. Don’t get me wrong, Sarah Marshall is wonderful, but the dynamic between her and Michael was top notch.
I’m glad he’s still podcasting, though. I like both of his podcasts, but if books could kill is so fun.
I like IBCK but his other endeavor is apparently full of scientific misinformation
It's really unfortunate considering his time on YWA and IBCK
as much as I like IBCK, it also has the odd episode that definitely has some *issues* when it comes to proper representation of information and facts. the double-parter about "Nudges" was particularly bad for this, considering there's a full robust body of scientific studies into systems of choice architecture and the working of "nudges" that show that the idea itself is structurally sound and can work well if implemented with forethought and care. they basically used that one partially poorly written book to poopoo the entire idea in and of itself and declare the cases of it having been shown to work as inconclusive or "statistically insignificant" (Hobbes *REALLY* likes to do that, A LOT) even though the thinking behind it is sound and works, even if you're not a libertarian weirdo.
Fucking LOVE If Books Could Kill! 10/10. So good!!!
Peter is also on 5-4, a podcast about why the supreme court sucks.
> Don’t get me wrong, Sarah Marshall is wonderful, I forgot about her!
It went from "You're Wrong About" to "The Guest Is Always Wrong About". At least we got If Books Could Kill out of it
So I'm not the only one that thinks a bit of punctuation/capitalization would make a world of difference here.
I had literally no idea what they meant until someone explained it.
I think that podcast took a nose dive in quality after one of the original hosts left. I remember listening to one of those episodes about true crime and its impact after the host left, and it was just, "I think it's bad for people!" Maybe they've tightened it up since then?
Yeah she's only had a couple good episodes since Michael left. The person being interviewed makes or breaks the show nowadays.

All I know about her is Doug Benson’s impression of her freaking out over weed. “MARIJUANA COOKIE?!?!?”
Did you know that Nancy Grace is actually a known alias for Randal Flagg?
Ron White has a bit where he mentions her in brief. He accidentally swallowed a fake tooth and needed to excrete it in a time crunch. Said he took laxatives but was losing steam until he picture the toilet was Nancy Grace's mouth and if you do that, "You can get through it."
I love it

She's not interesting enough (imo) for Robert to do an episode about her. She's just a boring, hateful old lady

Didn't read text, is she dead?
No. Her shitty podcast is being advertised to BTB listeners.
I get ads for her shows when I listen to BtB and I skip them all the time.
I hate those ads so much. Strong contender for my least favourite ad ever.
Thought that was 80’s Ozzy Osborne for a hot second.
I'm in Canada, and her podcast is advertised on Bastards lol
Her kids went to the school my mother taught at and she confirmed she’s a cunt in real life as well.
She spoke my class's college commencement 😒
The Bastards of True Crime with guest Marcus Parks. Someone please make it happen.
Also the ad is totally unhinged. It’s says something like “You think it will never happen to you, but I guarantee that it will.” It almost sounds like a threat.
Everything she does is tasteless
This picture just asked to see my manager.
I'm pretty sure there's enough material for a two-parter on just her, but, if not, an overview episode on true crime grifters would be great. (Although a little ironic since I think BtB often gets categorised as a true crime podcast.)

Just looking at her face makes me pissed off
She enjoys death.
I don't know who that photo is, but you should use [her actual headshot](https://uproxx.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/cat-helmet.jpg).
😂
TOT MOM Nancy can eat a bag of dicks. That mother, whos son was missing, killedherself after being on NG and took all the info with her
I was just relistening to the last podcast on the left episodes about Casey Anthony and she came up. She made a lot of money off the death of that child.
Man, the 90s were not good to David Bowie.
I can change her
I've been holding a brick with her name on it for years. Looking to mod my gallon tank to fit my super soaker now. I'd love to have this episode on in the background while i do what must needs be done.
Last Podcast On The Left absolutely nails her in their Casey Anthony series
There's nothing behind those eyes.
Hate her voice so much
You're Wrong About did a great episode on her
You’re wrong about? Does that means she’s actually a good person?
Oh no, no they dive into all the ways she's actively causing harm.
10000%!! Fuck Nancy Grace
Dude don’t scare me like that
Ooga booga
Hate really does a number on your appearance, I mean I dont think how people look matters or should be judged, but tell me you dont look her in the eye and just have a small twinge of anxiety. Women looks like the Omen kid.

I see you *also* watch Rebecca Watson.
I've been getting ads to visit Boston lately and I'm loving it.
Jesus that photo is a jump scare.
So many true crime ads since the forensic episodes god help me
Every time I see her face I hear her screaming, "TOT MOM! TOT MOM!"
Joe Kurr
Now there’s a bastard if I’ve ever seen one
The worst voice
I loved Boston Legal’s satire of her: Gracie Jane.

That’s a brick’n
I started getting ads for her podcast last week while listening to btb. She sounds even more unhinged than she used to.
She's despicable
Who is she and why does she look like she does all the cocaine? In addition, ICE delenda est.
I was thinking this as the ad rolled the other day haha
I thought that was Amy Poehler in a wig
I hadn't thought about her in about 10 years till this post. What a terrible person.
Disgusting booze bag
Such a trash human! We don’t get much of her in Australia, but one of her shows is about to air here. Every time I see her face on my tv a yell “oh fuck off Nancy”. My husband has no idea who she is and thinks I’m nuts. God she evil! Robert needs to do an episode on her.
