I had to go back to the Nazi parenting gurus episode to get my fix. I need the egg
I don't know if I can believe this story if there's no story about a father eating the only egg in front of his family.
Considering having a kid just so I can make them watch me eat an egg
What purpose do children have other than watching men eat solitary eggs?
Well, their little fingers are really good at maintaining weapons, or so I hear.
The egg story actually came up between a colleague and I at work this week. I too miss the egg.
Can someone offer him an egg at this trying time?
Yeah, that's how we know it actually takes place in Germany
[The Egg](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Geopoliticus_Child_Watching_the_Birth_of_the_New_Man.jpg) I think of when Robert tells the tale
Is there a German word for the act of a father eating a single egg with his family watching intently?
"Futterneid" When some one is taking more food(or the best parts) from the plates, so other have less. A form of jealousy. Also used for animals who are competing for food from the same bowl.
I'd be disappointed if there wasn't also a word for the feeling you get while watching your father eat his egg every week.
