I'm amazed at how fast Argonia is coming along. The Lystrosaurus are cute and I think they fit in great with the ancient vibe of the place. Great work!
In-universe reason: "Black Marsh" was the name of the Imperial Province in the region, and no one in the area has an interest in perpetuating the view of the area a being an extension of the Empire anymore. This is especially true of the Ternian League. Despite closer cultural connections with Cyrodiil, they're very adamant about their independence and are the ones most insistent on saying 'Argonia' rather than 'Black Marsh' these days. In the Jel-speaking areas, you'll still hear people refer to the place as Kota-Gee, which is just a direct translation of Black Marsh.
Meta-reason: The project actually did start as "Black Marsh." If you can find one of our old dev diaries from 2020 with that name for example. Between then and when I joined in spring of 2022, there was significant change in direction for the project. The name change happened to make a clearer distinction between the old and the new versions of the project.
(at 0:25) Is... is that a Lystrosaurus?
No, it's obviously a murrawi, which certainly isn't named after the type species of Lystrosaurus, L. murrayi.

Just curious, why is it called argonia and not black marsh?
