Provence Cyrodiil for Morrowind is also going to have The 8 isles.
But I will say, this looks fantastic so far.
Too bad the engine won't allow for the canals like Venice in the Imperial City as described in lore.
That's one way of seeing it.
I never even thought of that.
I always imagined it like Venice, With gondoliers that would take you around parts of the city.
But it could be more like Riften.
[Here's](https://www.project-tamriel.com/index.php?sid=296d7e210ea429641ea119c1244fc7c5) where you can keep up with project development.
And [Here's](https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/44922/) where you can play the first part of the release.
The Bruma pre-release has been a great tease, but seeing the development on this has me itching for more Cyrodiil that I did another play through of Oblivion. I've been waiting for this release for years and hope this is out before the others including TES6.
Once upon a time, when I was in high school, I decided to daydream that the radius of the Imperial City within the great circular wall was 30 km, implying a surface area of 2,827.43 sq km.
I then decided to daydream that the population in that area was 52 million.
I still cringe at such an anachronistic imagination about urban development in the heart of Cyrodiil.
The imperial city is rather tiny though. It doesn't have to be Rome - but being the center of an empire, it definitely should be larger than the five major cities of Skyrim combined (ignoring that they are also pretty damn tiny to begin with).
Overall, the numbers just don't add up in general though. I kill so many bandits and soldiers but actual food production capacity seems to be miniscule in comparison in Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim (didn't play Arena and Daggerfall) .
Where do all the sweet rolls come from if everyone is a bandit or soldier and no one is farming. Someone should make a grim dark overhaul with people in the cities starving to death and canibalism being pretty common...
Oh that looks awesome! I love the attention you're giving to the Nine Isles. I was just curious...how big is the Imperial City actually going to be? Like both in terms of map space and number of NPCs?
I am still baffled about how small an imperial city can actually be. The cities in Elder Scrolls games are tiny in general, but visiting the imperial city in Oblivion was such an ultimatively underwhelming experience that it sortiof actually was one of the few things i still remeber about that game.
But that's what Oblivion gave you and not your fault.
I see there's lots of detail and vegetation. And i am sure it will look way better and way more alive than the original.
Thank you for your service.
Big open cities now don't have to impede gameplay and they can work on console too. The Witcher 3 is the proof.
Back then, they should just have done what everyone did: Not having a capital in an open world game. Just exclude it. Have that round thing just be a mage tower and its supporting castle instead.
Nice Try Imperials, I'm still not paying taxes
I hear the Dominion has higher taxes. Your choice.
Nah, I'll just go to Vvardenfell. Sure, it's hell, but that way I won't pay taxes
are there really no taxes?
I mean, I'd like to see them try, given the whole place is a barren hellscape of ash and death
There are. One of the first sidequests you can pick up in Morrowind is to look for the missing tax collector.
He stays missing. I might get more gold by turning it in but stealing the cutlery in the census and excuse office more than makes up for it.
Yeah, but we're talking about 4th Era Morrowind. Vvardenfell is a smoking pile of ash and rubble.
They had total societal collapse so I really don’t think they have any leverage
What are they going to do, tax me more ?
The new "outskirts" are amazing
Feel more massive now
I hope I can still participate in the Arena.
It will have a dedicated quest line like oblivion
And if you look closely you can see Martins dragon statue.
That’s really cool
Finally, somebody thought of the nine isles😍
Provence Cyrodiil for Morrowind is also going to have The 8 isles. But I will say, this looks fantastic so far. Too bad the engine won't allow for the canals like Venice in the Imperial City as described in lore.
Oh was it supposed to be just canals? I interpreted it as a half-flooded undercity sort of mixed in between the city proper and the sewers.
That's one way of seeing it. I never even thought of that. I always imagined it like Venice, With gondoliers that would take you around parts of the city. But it could be more like Riften.
Figures, but I'll take What I get. I am looking forward to the next Province Cyrodiil Update, Anvil is looking great!
Yes it is. What really looks spectacular though is the city of Sutch for Provence Cyrodiil.
where can i read about stuff for province cyrodiil?

The island is actually filled, unlike un Oblivion? Thats so nice!
Absolutely awesome!!!! Can’t wait to run around in it and definitely not quick save to see if I can take the whole city in combat lol
id rather wait for this than elder scrolls 6 i have no faith in Bethesda
Only 20 more years to go boys
was i the only one who thought this was a dnd map in my feed?
I need one of these for every city in Skyrim
He'll yea, make the city bigger, it looks nice and more impactful for an empire
God that looks cool.
Badass minecraft build
I thought this was Rimworld
I thought the same thing!

Hard to believe that thing's older than the Empire that came BEFORE Talos.
hype

I don't think that's anachronistic. It's a high fantasy setting, so anything can happen really.

I always assume they're smaller than they really should be because gameplay reasons
