Table brush is all you need. When I was first exposed to pool 40 years ago, tables were brushed on a regular basis. At 3 cushion halls, they still clean the tables after every session.

pohlcat01

I used a good furniture brush on my vacuum hose. Just like using a table brush but the stuff gets sucked up instead of going into a pile.

FarYard7039

Remove any talc cone or bottles you may have and place a sign that anyone who uses talc is forbidden to use on your table.

SoulManeger8922

I am sorry, but what talcum powder is even for?

jjojehongg

its just unscented baby powder, some people use it on their hand when playing instead of a glove

MattPoland

Brush, vacuum, damp rag (water)

blackhawksq

Lent roller.

Richard_Musgrove

Powerful Vacuum cleaner?

NoCatch17789

Wet cloth

Dontbesensitive98

Vacuum with soft bristle brush. Then use gloves when playing.

Yeah. I don't use powder at all, but my sister in law uses a tiny bit of powder when she plays. She left the powder sitting around. Then my wife had some friends over for a party, and I wasn’t there, and her friends went apeshit with the powder, leaving my table looking like this.

xkoreotic

You need to talk to your wife and tell her than if her friends don't know how to respectfully use the table, they can't play. Like jesus fucking christ, it looks like they were playing hot potato with a bag of powder. Onto a serious answer about cleaning. Use a vacuum with brush attachment to pickup all the excess powder. Using a table brush beforehand also helps a lot with making the vacuuming process easier. After that, I suggest you get a bucket of warm water and a microfiber cloth. Soak it thoroughly and only wring it out like 75%, you want a decent amount if water still in the cloth. Wipe down the table very thoroughly and methodically, making sure to start from the center and wipe towards the rails. Be gentle, but deliberate. The water helps the cloth from going super fuzzy, and it will grab powder, chalk, and the sorts from the cloth. Leave to dry for quite a few hours.

They're Filipinos. I think this was the first pool table they ever saw that doesn't get rained on occasionally. If you think this is bad, this photo was taken AFTER I tried cleaning it with my table brush.

For those who know how to properly use talcum, a little goes a long way. While back I was streaming one of the filipino pros. Table was so clean, I didn't realize he used talc until after the exhibition was over.

Reasonable-Cry-1411

Do yourself a favor after you get this cleaned up. Toss that shit in the garbage and get her a glove. Also switch to taom or kamui Roku chalk. It's way cleaner.

Depends on Cloth type as to whether one can get it wet. Worsted Cloth can get wet. Non-worsted can't. Also steaming a Pool Cloth is not a thing. To clean this Cloth just vaccum with flat attachment, with no bristles. Vacuuming is regular maintenance and should be done once every 200 games or so, as chalk dust is so fine it goes through the Cloth
