Visited Cedar Point as a kid. Was not thrilled when we stopped riding rides to see The Beach Boys in the amphitheater. My parents were all excited. Turns out is was just Beach Boys. Park employed musicians doing a beach themed show. They didn’t even cover any of The Beach Boys songs. We still stayed and watched the show.
The MASH theme song's name is ["Suicide Is Painless"](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suicide_Is_Painless). It's origination story is fuggin' hilarious IMHO.
> Director Robert Altman had two stipulations about the song for composer Johnny Mandel: it had to be called "Suicide Is Painless" and it had to be the "stupidest song ever written". Altman attempted to write the lyric himself, but, upon finding it too difficult for his "45-year-old brain" to write something "stupid" enough, he gave the task to his 15-year-old-son Michael, who reportedly wrote the lyrics in five minutes.
My own father(who was in a pipe and drum band at the time) bought tickets knowing exactly what it was, then proceeded to ask if i wanted to see the red hot chili PEPPERS, then when the day came, we got there, and he was like "what? No i never said peppers i said pipers, i was surprised you knew who they were" 😑😑😑. I should have know something was off with the venue it was at lol. i dont like the chili peppers anyway(textbook plagiarists) and being half Scott i don't mind me some pipes so it was a good time but im still floored they haven't been sued into retirement LOL

when I was 5 I told my mom I wanted to see Star Wars - she thought I said (or understood it as) "A Star is Born" - that was a terrible night at the drive-in but fortunately, they re-released it in theaters again two years later - LOL
I had this done to me when they played in mauchline years ago. Was asked if I want to go see red hot chilli peppers by a friend. I didn’t actually consider they wouldn’t be having a concert in that little shithole
Lmao a guy at my work went and saw these guys, he said it was a blast. Idek they were a thing lol he’s a cool chill older dude. Sadly his wife just passed away a month ago.
They were doing a show in New Haven when I was in college and I almost bought like 15 tickets I couldn’t believe the cost and then realized right as I was finishing my card information
This is hilarious
They rock some of their covers are outstanding
I've seen the Red Hot Chilli Pipers live, and they are an absolute blast!
It’s too funny to actually be upset.
Those guys blow.
On one hand, jet engines suck, on the other side they blow.
Are they playing a Killers song? Haha 😆
I thought it sounded like “Giving Up The Gun” by Vampire Weekend
It's "All These Things That I've Done" by The Killers.
Calihornication
The reverse happened to me, I gotta say the peppers aren’t too bad either
…and that’s how I got Into bag piping
This reminds me of Polka Floyd, they also rock it out.
I think I would rather see the Red Hot chili pipers over the Red Hot Chili Peppers
exactly!!!
Enjoy Bob Saget!
No no, we're going to see Bob Seger.
This is gold. Also really cruel at the same time. Still hope they had a good time.

Core memory unlocked.
Were they playing the theme to MASH?
It's "All These Things That I've Done" by The Killers.
That song will be remembered in my head as defacto 70s porn music *shrugs*
