Sometimes for whatever reason my reddit app will play the audio of the video off screen coming up next in my scroll. The post I was looking at above this one was a photo and all I could hear was a heartbeat and I genuinely thought I was having a blood pressure issue. Phew. Glad to have figured it out. The earbuds I'm wearing made it feel like my heartbeat. Lol

I'm having this issue too. Issues like this are expected from a small indie company like Reddit.

I don't think it's a mistake. I think the intention is play the ads that are off screen so that by the time you scroll onto them they're already finished and Reddit gets paid more. Source? My extreme annoyance at having an ad start playing while I'm just trying to read a post caption.

That happens to me too, it's annoying as fuk

Thank god I thought it was just me. Also when you get a notification of a video yo see your notification and go back to your feed and the video from the notification starts or keeps playing 🫠
