Vets have to eat and unfortunately, a huge number of the people who vets see don't have a lot of money and have a very sick animal.

I know, right. There should be some sort of grant program to cover costs like that.

Pet insurance helps a lot.

I had Banfield's pet plans, but they didn't cover any of the real major issues. My new job I just got offers pet insurance, but unfortunately my cat passed away recently. So kind of useless at the moment.

I have Trupanion and I recouped 10 years of premium in one year after my kitteh had hyperthyroidism, anemia, ascites, ileus, and congestive heart failure. She is holding on but we just take it day by day. I do appreciate how good Trupanion has been about clearing bills with the hospital itself.

I'll have to look into Trupanion for the future. Thanks!

We're fortunate in that vet costs are cheaper here in Spain, so I was able to afford the pathology and it came back as nothing. But, the vet said that even though it wasn't anything dangerous, it still might grow back at some point. I just wanted to calm your fears, it might be ok. Sending you both love and good luck vibes 🖤

If you cannot send it out for a full pathology workup see if you can find a vet that can at least poke it and look at the cells manually to see if they look abnormal. Would cost a lot less and at least you would have a better idea. We just did this for a dog yesterday.
