I love a good sci fi or horror anthology series. I’m a huge Twilight Zone fan. Also the Outer Limits, Monsters, Tales from the Crypt, etc.
I kept hearing about Black Mirror and googled it. I looked up best episodes lists and decided on what to start with based on those. I was blown away by the show. I really think it’s close to being as good as The Twilight Zone. I’d love to erase my memory so I could watch Black Mirror again fresh.
I saw a comment under some weird video "is this a new black mirror episode trailer". Then I looked it up, saw the first episode, then I become a fan of it.
I watched the episode White Bear in a discord movie night and was hooked! I immediately looked up the show but seen that it wasn't a movie, it was an episode from a series. And I started watching the series from the beginning and instantly fell in love.
A local dj (Elliot in the morning) was talking about the show and some co workers had also mentioned hearing the dj talk about it and heard good things.
I was bored and flipping through NF. Somehow, the first ep I watched was USS Callister. When it started on the ship, I was like ‘wtf kind of show is this?’ I paused it, went back to the title screen, and checked what year it was made.
My daughter recommended it. I’m very hard to please when it comes to entertainment as I tend to enjoy dark, convoluted programs. I was hooked after Ep1 and binged my way through the series.
Talking with a friend on fb about anthologies, Twilight Zone and American Horror Story were at the forefront of the discussion, then she mentioned BM, this was in 2013, before Netflix had acquired the series. S2 had just premiered. I went on a torrent site and watched “15 MM”, was blown away.
Been singing its praises ever since.
Was at a friend's place . nosedive was the first one they played they just got into it and I joined them watching, then I became obsessed , they played another one about the robot one husband which I loved a lot.. I came home and immediately started binge watching the series myself and became a fan and I think they're not even as interested in black mirror as me 😂
No I want to but it seems like it has alot of jumpscares which I hate I don't mind gore n dat but if has jumpscares then no I wouldn't be able to watch it 😭

Watching it made me realize we had feelings for each other and we started dating for a bit; even after we stopped dating, we remained close and we still call each other Kelly and Yorkie in birthday texts and when we happen to see each other IRL.

I wanted something psychological, twisted, controversial, dark, or all of the above. It also peaked my interest that it is technology-related since we’re in that era.
I searched sci-fi on Netflix and it seemed interesting that it was an anthology and I was already a fan of the twilight zone so I gave it a shot. There were only two seasons at the time but I was hooked
I read an article after the first season aired that said "Robert downy Jr bought the rights to an episode to make into a full length movie" I'm in the states so I had to find the episode to see why he'd make it into a movie, I was hooked immediately. The episode he was going to do as a movie was "the e tire history of you'

I read an article that listed TV shows most liked The Twilight Zone. Since that show was my favorite growing up I checked it out. BM just came out with their second series.

I found the concept behind Joan is Awful interesting and was hooked with Loch Henry and Beyond the Sea. I then ended up watching the whole series, working my way backwards. The ones that got me hooked weren't even close to being the best ones of the show

Grew up watching the likes of Twilight Zone and always leaned towards those shows. Black Mirror fits nicely into that category with a modern take
