Seconding Cedar Kebab, it's perfect, Springwood kebab is not a contender in my eyes. Cattlefish has been my go-to recently for burgers. Blue Mountains Seafood further down the street is an old standby. The Springwood Charcoal Chicken Spot makes the best
Chicken.
Black Cockatoo bakery for whatever they make. Best coffee is from a hole in the wall type place in East Blaxland shops. Montes does make the best pizza.
The pizza shop in Glenbrook does the most amazing gluten free pizza. I can only imagine how good their normal pizza is if they can do this magic to gluten free.
Btw

Definitely not. Sorry. I used to stop at blackheath fish n chip shop, not very often anymore. Not that there’s anything wrong with their food. It’s just not as good as elsewhere. If it wasn’t on the Highway, I’m sure it would have died by now.
Take Faulconbridge takeaway for example. When Damien and his wife ran it, it was great, clean and fresh. Food nothing special like a gourmet burger, but good. I haven’t been tempted to go in since the new guy bought it because he doesn’t clean it like Damien did.
Cedar kebabs in katoomba is the mountains best kebab shop. Springwood is just your bog standard kebab shop, nothing special about it.
This. Also the newish Japanese place next to the Gardeners in Blackheath is outrageously good value. Best Japanese in the mountains since Hana.
RIP Hana.
Do you recall the name?
Blue Mountains Sushi. Highly recommended.

I’m going to have to try Cedar again. I bought kebabs there probably 15 years ago and was disappointed.
it's changed ownership but kept the name

You keep going to those, mate. It’ll keep our actual favourites less busy 👍
Well, the idea is to change my mind… let’s hear about your recommendations then!
Best sausage rolls are from The Cheesecake shop in Lawson.
There's a cheesecake shop in lawson?
Do you mean the lawson cake shop?

Ahh yeah Beliminos … the forgotten charm. Yes their regular pizzas are great too!
the lunch box in the industrial area near bunnings katoomba best take away hands down the burgers and chips are in a league of their own
God, Cattlefish is good.
Cedar is great. Discount for students in the arvo too. Blackheath kebab is the girthiest kebab in NSW and a solid one too. Also good for pide.
Noodle Paradise in Springwood!
Cattlefish is great but I think Blackheath Fish and Chips juuust beats it.

Was way better when they cut their own chips back in the day...
The best pies and sausage rolls are at Schwarz's bakery in Wenty Falls.
Best pies are at Bakehouse on Wentworth, can’t beat their buttery crusts and delicious filling options.
Seconding Monte’s Pizza. The John Special is the go.
Best pizza we have had is at Winmalee pizza shop.
I'd say Napoli pizza springwood is better pizza but it's pricey. Winmalee is the best value pizza
La Bello in Faulconbridge has the best pizza in the mountains
Nar try Winmalee pizza and it will change your mind..
