I was Roman Empire thought-free today... up until I saw this post.
For my favorite Rome-themed board game I'd have to take the safe pick and go for Concordia.
Thanks for the giveaway!
Not until you pointed out that I need to think of this Rome stuff. Thank you guys for this opportunity. Good luck and I hope I can add this game to my collection!!
I suppose my average number of times a day I'm thinking of the Roman Empire is pretty close to zero, but after today that average is now slightly above zero.
So I guess I need to play more Roman Empire games.
Honestly only think about maybe going back to Rome someday more than anything. Honestly dont know too much about games that take place in or are about Rome really but would always be nice to play one
I rarely think of the Roman Empire in my day-to-day. If I am thinking of it, I’ve probably been listening to one of my favorite podcasts “The Rest is History”. My favorite Rome-themed game is probably Concordia, but I’ve been eyeing Foundations of Rome!
The history of the Roman Empire interests me since playing a relatively new game called "Nova Roma".
Pretty much think about it after each playthrough and I played it VI times already!
I took Empire's End with me last Wednesday to a gaming night, and that game also gives me an Roman Empire's feeling.
So that makes I times this week :-)
0.2 times per day, but that will increase now that I have it in my mind. I don't have a favorite Roman Empire game, so that leaves space for this one if I win.
I’ve never played a Rome themed board-game, unless you count the inspiration being clear in Hoplomachus Victorum. Or that you can play as Rome in Imperium: Classics.
I don’t often think of Rome. :(
Tetrarchia is a great game for solo. I already have a copy.
But WHERE CAN I GET MORE SHIP MEEPLES FOR IT?
If I win, please pick another winner as I already have it. I'm psyched for Hispania though!
I'll ask around! Be sure to check out the new campaign, it doesn't have Ship Meeple but it have Roman and Hispanic soldiers which looks absolutely fine!
I think about Rome at least a few times a week. Me and my friends are pretty big history dorks though. Rome is just so well studied that it’s really easy to see how daily life was back then and see how closely the life of average Roman citizens compared to our own modern lives, which is fascinating.
As far as my favorite Rome-themed board game, I really like Foundations of Rome. It’s way overproduced, but it’s actually much simpler than it looks. It reminds me of Chinatown, but without the negotiation. I also have an old copy of Conquest of the Empire on my shelf that I found at a Half-Priced Books a while back that I’ve been wanting to play for but haven’t been able to get it to the table. Oh, and I was able to play a little game I hadn’t heard of before called Rome in a Day at a local convention this past weekend. The “Rome” theme is paper thin, but it’s actually a really fun and light little I-split-you-choose style city builder.
I don’t really think of the Roman Empire at all (guy here) and I’ve heard from other guys that they often do. Maybe I need a game like this to think about it more :).
Roman Empire theme is one of my top themes for board games, along with space and Vikings. I really wanted to get a “SPQR” tattoo back in the day. I would say I think about Rome a few times a week, mostly in relation to board games!
I will be learning Nova Roma tomorrow in preparation for a play on Saturday!
I am thinking about Roman empire a bit, but my opinion about plebeians getting right to marry patricians is at least on my top X.
Dunno game : Spartacus: a game of blood and treachery
Ran into some Roman numerals today while watching some Olympics related stuff. My favorite game, not necessarily a board game, involving Rome is Civilization 5.
Pffft. You find it easier to quantify your thoughts on the glorious Empire *by days*? Peasant numbers, The Empire never leaves my mind! Vivat Imperium!
Unironically, I get reminded of the glory of Rome almost daily - the city which I live in has an ancient amphitheatre and quite a few murals/grafitti dedicated to that period.
We have a horse and I always think about what it would have been like riding him into battle in Roman times. So yeah like, at least 5 times a day? He’s also the biggest wuss so I’m sure he’d have gotten me killed fairly quickly. Game looks awesome btw!!
I think I’m more interested in Ancient Rome more than the average person but the honest answer is probably still less than once a day on average.
Hispania looks interesting, I do like a good coop. Pandemic Fall of Rome is one I enjoy a lot.
Thanks!
My family really likes the roman times. We watch every movie and serie that is about romans snd our favourite game is glory to rome. I am pretty sure we will love this game !!
Honestly don't think I've thought about the Roman Empire since Doctor Who and Rory...!
Game looks great though, I'd be thinking about the Romans on a weekly basis with that!
I'm blessed with teaching my pupils about Roman (and Greek) history, so a lot! Wouldn't want to do anything else then let them explore a wonderful period in our timeline.
I actually thought about the Roman Empire today lol. Not everyday, but now and then, especially because I'm interested in the New Testament.
Don't have a Rome themed boardgame yet, so this would be great.
I think about Roman Empires every time I look at my analogue watch. Especially when I look at my wall clock which has 4 o'clock as IIII . Favourite Roman themed have is Centurion (of the Duke line of games).
I've been thinking about the Roman empire a lot lately due to discovering Bret Devereaux's wonderful blog.
My favourite game about the Roman Empire is Barracks Emperors. Sadly I have not met anyone yet who also enjoys it, so I'm happy it has a great solo mode.
Yeah, I'm going with zero on average, slightly more on periods where I've been talking to a friend about roman numerals and such.
My current favorite roman empire game is Hadrian's Wall, but to be fair, it doesn't really have much competition as far as things in my collection.
I think about the Roman empire probably about 0.15 times per day on average, one time a week. My favorite Roman themed game has to be Age of Empires, the classic
No less than IV times a day
Currently I've thought about the Roman Empire one time 😄
I was Roman Empire thought-free today... up until I saw this post. For my favorite Rome-themed board game I'd have to take the safe pick and go for Concordia. Thanks for the giveaway!
Great game! One of my favourite board game maps.
About three times at the moment been looking at fallout New Vegas stuff lately
Currently listening to the History of Rome podcast so at least once a day!
Great podcast!
I'm Roman Empire pilled after watching Rome on HBO. I've hired a Senate Crier of my own to announce all new crowdfunding campaigns.
I've thought of it at least once today, thanks to this post. Thanks for the giveaway!
I think about it at least once per hour, it's truly fascinating. Also, Zoo Vadis!
What a fun game, re-theming here is hilarious!
If i win the contest at least 2 times a day when passing in front of the box :)
6 times on average
Honestly only think about maybe going back to Rome someday more than anything. Honestly dont know too much about games that take place in or are about Rome really but would always be nice to play one
I rarely think of the Roman Empire in my day-to-day. If I am thinking of it, I’ve probably been listening to one of my favorite podcasts “The Rest is History”. My favorite Rome-themed game is probably Concordia, but I’ve been eyeing Foundations of Rome!
That's a good one, I like Tom Holland (not spiderman)
Well I guess I’ve thought about the Roman Empire thrice this month, but once today, cos of the new game by Joe Klipfel!
Does the holy Roman empire count? Because if so many times per day. Otherwise I only thought about it once today before reading this.
Twice. WOOLOOLOO
Can't stop thinking about it now.
This post was the first time I have thought about the Roman Empire in a while 🤔
None
0-5 depends what I'm reading 😅
1
Well now that you mentioned it, just once.
I thought about the Roman Empire twice today!
The history of the Roman Empire interests me since playing a relatively new game called "Nova Roma". Pretty much think about it after each playthrough and I played it VI times already!
I didn't play this one but it looks cool!
I took Empire's End with me last Wednesday to a gaming night, and that game also gives me an Roman Empire's feeling. So that makes I times this week :-)
Great game!
Not on a regular day, occasionally
The only time I think about the Roman Empire is when it's in a board game. Thanks for the opportunity!
I don't think I've ever played Roman Empire themed game before, but I would certainly like to change that!
0.2 times per day, but that will increase now that I have it in my mind. I don't have a favorite Roman Empire game, so that leaves space for this one if I win.
At least a dozen times, I spend a lot of my day in the bathroom crying
At least five times a day
Just got a copy of Glory to Rome that I need to try soon.
My Roman Empire changes every day, but unfortunately is never the actual Roman Empire.
5 times a week probably
Not a lot. This reminds me to bring out ave Ceasar.
Once or twice
I’ve never played a Rome themed board-game, unless you count the inspiration being clear in Hoplomachus Victorum. Or that you can play as Rome in Imperium: Classics. I don’t often think of Rome. :(
At least twice. My family makes fun of me regularly but I think about empire building and how the Roman Empire lasted 1,000 years.
I already backed Hispania. I want to back it again to see if it makes it arrive faster haha
V
Maybe once every two to three days. Thank you for the opportunity!
I think about Rome not that often tbh 😅
Zero times usually.
Not very often. Concordia
That one time I thought about the Roman Empire like...5 times! Gl!
Honestly? Zero, but winning this game will surely raise this up!
Every time I play Foundations of Rome. This looks great too, looking forward to it!
Anytime I tell the joke about the Roman who held up two fingers to ask for five beers!
I’d say I think about it once a week on average.
I will be thinking about the Roman Empire once a day until I inevitably win the giveaway 😉
Just the once!
X/day
Only when I open my eyes. But also when I close them. It’s always. I’m always thinking about it.
Probably every other day, so 0.5 times/day. My favorite game in that setting is probably Carpe Diem, despite its looks.
Seems like it's about once per day.
Only once because I never stop thinking aboutthe Roman Empire. Favorite Roman themed game? Trajan
Probably once a day or less lol
I think about Rome at least a few times a week. Me and my friends are pretty big history dorks though. About once
Zero times a day tbh
Im watching Ripley, so let’s just say one, for now. And I can think of 7WD. Ty GL!
Many days 0.
I’m up to III. My wife likes to watch so maybe I should do it more…
All the time

V
Once a day! Caesar! In 20 minutes is a hidden gem of a 2 player game that really captures the theme of the Roman era
I don’t really think of the Roman Empire at all (guy here) and I’ve heard from other guys that they often do. Maybe I need a game like this to think about it more :).

I think of the roman empire x times a day.

Generally I think about the Roman Empire 0 times per day

Unironically, I get reminded of the glory of Rome almost daily - the city which I live in has an ancient amphitheatre and quite a few murals/grafitti dedicated to that period.
I need to work on my Roman Empire thinking hours because right now it is very low.
At least 1 time a day ;) Monopoly Roman Empire Edition is a must play for all the Roman Empire fans out there (just kidding).
We have a horse and I always think about what it would have been like riding him into battle in Roman times. So yeah like, at least 5 times a day? He’s also the biggest wuss so I’m sure he’d have gotten me killed fairly quickly. Game looks awesome btw!!
1/100 a day
Probably about twice a year, favourite game would probably be Concordia, it's got great board
I think I’m more interested in Ancient Rome more than the average person but the honest answer is probably still less than once a day on average. Hispania looks interesting, I do like a good coop. Pandemic Fall of Rome is one I enjoy a lot. Thanks!
Having a daughter with rome-themed name, a LOT.
Mostly never until my neighbour's brings it up.
Every day is a a constant reminder of the Roman Empire for me, soooo at least X times per day. Good luck!
X times a day! ;)
I think about the glory of the Roman Empire at least 10 times a day. I'm even giving the history of Rome podcast a re-listen this month.
Maybe 8 times... A year
Just thought about the roman empire, but on average maybe 0.05 times a day😋
I'm painting a miniature Roman bust so right now it feels like i'm thinking about it all the time... but let's say 12 times :)
Ill be real, i dont think of them at all :p
My family really likes the roman times. We watch every movie and serie that is about romans snd our favourite game is glory to rome. I am pretty sure we will love this game !!
1 since the meme came about 😅
Literally about 0.01 times a day. However, I do like some Rome or antiquity-themed games, such as Antike II, Caesar!, 300: Earth and Water, etc etc.
Only when I stumble upon something roman empire related
I never think about Rome but I'd be happy to play a board game about it
Maybe about 0.5 times during the day
Honestly don't think I've thought about the Roman Empire since Doctor Who and Rory...! Game looks great though, I'd be thinking about the Romans on a weekly basis with that!
I don't usually give much thought to the Roman Empire. Concordia.
I think about Rome roughly thrice a day. I always enjoyed Conquest of the Empire.
On average, somewhere between 0 and 1? :D
I think about Roman Empires every time I look at my analogue watch. Especially when I look at my wall clock which has 4 o'clock as IIII . Favourite Roman themed have is Centurion (of the Duke line of games).
This will be my first time today thinking about the Roman empire And for the Roman themed game I love the gladiator battles in Spartacus
First time today thinking about the Roman empire, and I love the gladiator battles in Spartacus.
Only when I see it mentioned on /r/boardgames
Thinking of Roman Empire right now. My favourite Rome-themed game… Does Through the Ages count if I choose Julius Caesar as my leader?
Today? Once now Does Zoo Vadis still count as a favorite Roman game?
At least VII
I think about the Roman Empire 0,2 time a day
At least I time a day
I think of the Roman Empire exactly 14 times a day every time I look at the Roman numerals on my wall clock
One to three on average. Really tempted to relisten to that Mike Duncan podcast.
I think about the Roman Empire about 1 time a week I would say.
I've been thinking about the Roman empire a lot lately due to discovering Bret Devereaux's wonderful blog. My favourite game about the Roman Empire is Barracks Emperors. Sadly I have not met anyone yet who also enjoys it, so I'm happy it has a great solo mode.
Well, it's one now :D
I think of the Roman Empire right now. Also now. And now.
I dunno about daily, but weekly, it gets a thought or two, sure.
You have to praise Sol at least 3 times a day!
At least once lately, just got Caesar! The 2 player game
At least twice a day
A solid π times a day
I'd say at least IV times a day. I love playing Caesar! Seize Rome in 20 minutes. Also it kinda counts I've be playing Concordia a lot.
Once a day at 6pm sharp
When playing EU4, 60 times a day. When not 0. I actually don't think I've played any Roman boardgames.
I think about the Roman Empire a minimum of ll times a day.
On average less than once. Today? At least twice which is a weird coincidence.
Of course I don't forget to think how great the Roman Empire was at least once a day.
Never think of the Roman Empire and don't know that I've ever played a Rome-themed board game.
Being from a drastically different part of the world, I would say zero unless I come across something provoking that thought (like this post).
I think about thinking about the Roman Empire at least this many times.
On average, I would say 1. Some days none, other days several.
At least once a day. And Concordia is my favorite Rome-themed game
If someone says he don't think about the Roman empire on a daily basis, they lies. Currently writing for the total war board game
I have think about Rome at least V times a day
Yeah, I'm going with zero on average, slightly more on periods where I've been talking to a friend about roman numerals and such. My current favorite roman empire game is Hadrian's Wall, but to be fair, it doesn't really have much competition as far as things in my collection.
Went to Rome last week and can't stop thinking how's one of, maybe the, most beautiful city in the world.
I think about the Roman Empire several times daily. There are many parallels between Ancient Rome and modern society. It’s fascinating.
All day, every day.
I think about the Roman empire probably about 0.15 times per day on average, one time a week. My favorite Roman themed game has to be Age of Empires, the classic
Quite a bit thinking about fallout new Vegas after watching the show.
Personally 0, but my boyfriend says a solid 1/2 times per day ;) Maybe this game on our shelf could improve those numbers.
Mmm...no less than 10 times a day, since this post!
I - X times a month
