A record player I guess

hungryhoss

You win the internet, sir.

cyanethic

Corny ahh comment

hungryhoss

What does that mean?

cyanethic

It means your comment was extremely corny

hungryhoss

Why?

reprobatemind2

I didn't downvote it, but it's just an overused clichéd phrase on the Internet

hungryhoss

I used it once

reprobatemind2

Yes. The phrase itself is clichéd. So, any use of it now is seen as cringey. Don't shoot the messenger. I'm only saying why others downvoted you.

hungryhoss

Fuck them. It's a Bob Dylan sub reddit and they want to get all modern? Fuck you, children of the future! I remember when all of this used to be fields and Bob Dylan wasn't a hologram.

AkiraKitsune

Freewheelin', New Morning

Annual_Peak1_2_3

I never see Freewheelin’ when I go vinyl shopping

doomscrollingreddit

My first album so I’m biased……..but it’s a banger. Classic Dylan in the village with no electrics just being youthful Dylan.

stick97206r

I do have Freewheein on vinyl, you do have a great collection. *

AkiraKitsune

I see it all the time, personally

Hungry-Photograph819

You need the Wilburys in your life.

two_sails_on_a_sound

The Bootleg Series stuff is worth having, almost as much as the studio albums themselves

MtCheaha

More than many of the studio albums.

isthishandletaken

How crazy is that. One of the most respected artists in all of recorded music, has an entire discography of unreleased material equal to and often better than his released discography.

LouieMumford

The fact he recorded Series of Dreams and said to himself, “nah, not putting this on the album” is insane. Oh Mercy would have gone from good to great.

swagglehorse

i feel the same about "Up To Me", "Abandoned Love", and "Nobody 'Cept You"....it's crazy to me!

LouieMumford

Absolutely. Or that he made the song Too Late and then reworked it into Foot of Pride and then didn’t put either of them on Infidels blows my mind.

thelaszlopanaflex

Read his 1969 Rolling Stone interview recently and I chuckled when his response to the question of how many unreleased songs he'd recorded was 'Well, we try to use them all. There may be a few lying around'

dirtyrottenxmachine

rolling thunder revue

maskedtortilla

Hard Rain, Oh Mercy.

ned1son

*Oh Mercy* is the biggest omission here for sure.

WilllofV

Nah, Freewheeling

reprobatemind2

A more important album, but he does have folk /protest era well covered. Oh Mercy is unique, in my opinion. Nothing sounds like it. I know Labois produced TooM as well, but it's very different I'd say

NeilOhighO

A brand new leopard skin pillbox hat.

[deleted]

The rest of them?

Practical-Animator87

I recommend new morning this morning

DrBlissMD

World gone wrong

inherentbloom

EnvironmentalRock222

A bed? A toilet?

Aggravating_Board_78

The Basement Tapes box set before it gets more expensive

LouieMumford

I’ve noticed that the basement tapes seems to be a frequent omission. It’s a shame because I love that album.

getdowngoblin420

The only classic/must have you're missing is *The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan*. Otherwise this is a super solid collection.

sevenelevan-

New Morning is fantastic - that would be my next choice. Other than that, some of the bootlegs/lives - Springtime in NY, Vol 1-3 ‘61-‘91, Side Tracks, More Blood, Cutting Edge, Another SP?

44035

All the box sets.

GermsDean

If you go record shopping always peek at the G.H. Vol. 1. I found one for $2.99 that had the Milton Glaser poster in it. You never know, you may get lucky.

ComprehensiveFroyo32

Shadow Kingdom

Annual_Peak1_2_3

I have shelves and a record player 😂

_TimeOutOfMind_

I think Oh Mercy (1989) would be a great addition, as would Dylan and the Band's live album, Before the Flood (1974).

Annual_Peak1_2_3

Freewheelin’ New Morning and Oh Mercy are my next 3 Dylan purchases absolutely. Oh Mercy is another lp I just never see. My collection is mainly based around what I’ve found in my local record shops. Btw I was gutted to learn that Groom still waiting at the altar is not on early pressings of Shot of Love. I picked it up a few weeks ago and was shocked to not hear it play during my listen!

cyanethic

Another copy of Blood On The Tracks. And then another one. And then another one. And then for good measure, another one. And then maybe one more.

AbleChamp

Street Legal!

Annual_Peak1_2_3

It’s there, hidden between Desire and Slow train :)

nbb333

Freewheelin, New Morning, Oh Mercy, Together Through Life, and I’d pick up the Sinatra trilogy albums as well. Triplicate in particular is a beautiful album

Annual_Peak1_2_3

Yes they tend to get a bit of slack the trilogy but I actually enjoy listen to Bob croon.

balloffire

Damn that is a great collection! 'Pat Garett and Billy the Kid' would be a good addition. 'Final Theme' is one of my favorites

PortHopeThaw

Strange as it is to say: [Greatest Hits Vol. II](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bob_Dylan%27s_Greatest_Hits_Vol._II#Songs_previously_unreleased_on_LP) It's got the definitive versions of some bona fide classics not available elsewhere.

labourite1997

Freewheelin’, Self Portrait, New Morning.

love_and_reason

U evil man,u put Blonde On Blonde in a wrong direction to make ppl suffer?

unhalfbricklayer

Nope, everyone else puts BoB in the wrong direction. I put it in the right direction, with the spine to my left.

extranaiveoliveoil

Freewheelin and Oh Mercy

MoaningLisaSimpson

Therapy. No, no, I joke because I love. I mean, I am in this group, too. But too much Dylan isn't always great for your mental health. Im in a difficult stage of my life right now, lots of changes, parenting my parents, career burnout, etc. I listen to a lot of Dylan, but i know i jave to mix it up a bit.

Awkward_Squad

Nashville Skyline staying here with you.

The Freewheelin’ spot sticks out like a missing front tooth lol

Priapus6969

Self Portrait. It's better than what the critics said in 1970.

retroking9

A life. It’s a joke. They call me Jokerman.

doitfortheavacadoes

World Gone Wrong!!! and Christmas in the Heart, as is required in any true Dylanologist's collection

Low_Insurance_9176

Greatest Hits Vol II. Or Side Tracks, which has the best side of Greeatest Hits 2 plus a lot of other great obscure stuff. And New Morning.

OrvalOverall

I don't see Oh, Mercy. That's a stone cold classic

dirtdiggler67

No Freewheeling? Sacrilege.

Pianist-Wise

Curious to know your favorite three?

Annual_Peak1_2_3

My top 3 in no particular order are Infidels, Time out of mind and Love and theft

Pianist-Wise

Appreciate it. I’m not very familiar with Love and Theft but excited to check it out now.

Southern-Equal-6014

Get the box set and stuff rough and rowdy ways into it and you'll he set, I did that twice

unhalfbricklayer

You have 24 of the 46 core Dylan albums. Get the other 22 and be happy.

fargothforever

Blood on the Tracks test pressing from Record Store Day a few years back! It’s essential. Oh, also the Basement Tapes Record Store Day release that was put together with Garth’s involvement.

Icy_League_4640

Oh Mercy would like to ask why it wasn't invited to the party.

Annual_Peak1_2_3

Believe me I want it because it’s a great album. Long black coat is a great song.
