That was my third time seeing PL and it was fucking MAGIC. It used to be just him on the stage and it was like 5-6 mufuckin magicians up there!!! I thought ooahh was up there for a sec but I was mistaken
like nothing i’ve ever experienced before, never even listened to PL before last night, probably in the top sets of all time for me. and the PEOPLE omgg nivest crowd i’ve seen all week
As a long-time PL fan, this is the kind of reaction I love hearing about. The community this music has fostered for Pretty Lights Family runs really deep, and has been the catalyst to some of my most treasured friendships. Welcome to the family!
Knew he would bring that song back! His drop of it in 2011 was next level. I watched it on YouTube after it was posted and had immediate fomo all the way back then haha
Some of my favorite PL beats I dropped some flows over back in 2016 https://on.soundcloud.com/AmbV2PYRhAi4dCvdA
https://on.soundcloud.com/YpL3fiWbw5H5fxfD9
Can’t wait for a new album to drop so I can remix some new stuff 😍
It was amazing! I’m so happy I got to see Pretty Lights vs Nine Inch Nails vs Nirvana vs Radiohead live. Its such a great rendition, and I know the truth was amazing too. I wish they played One day they’ll know too, but still was great! I will definitely be planning on going to the sunrise set. Seeing Alvin on the drums play is always a joy too
For all new PL fans. Go watch this documentary of his. It’ll make you appreciate his work on a whole new level
https://youtu.be/C402fprLRDw?si=kGQwWJXiDIfKjSOm
Was amazing. He’s my favorite edm/hiphop DJ. I think the crowd was a little underwhelming and wish he played more classics but still was great. Looking forward to the sunrise set. Hopefully I find my friend Molly before then. If anyone has seen her let me know 😉🙏🫶
It's a whole band my friend! No longer a single person. It makes sense that Thursday wasn't as full as you might have expected due to people not having arrived yet, but the drone shots from the live stream depict a pretty huge crowd
Consider yourself lucky! I can only imagine seeing PL for my first time ever and at roo. If I were you I would catch the sunrise set and be ready to get blown away. Wish I were in your shoes. Have a blast my friend!
First time I saw him was performing with drummer Cory Eberhard. It was at nocturnal in CA if I remember correctly. I make hip hop and stumbled into this warehouse with this DJ playing chopping up the sickest samples over live drums. In the moment I knew I was witnessing someone special and forever have been a super fan
Phenomenal set! One of the DJ’s played guitar while DJ’ing, we’d never seen that before. The songs were thoughtfully composed mashups, including some classics, with band and DJ’s working together such that the sum musical total was far greater than its parts. The light show was first rate, mesmerizing colored lights, shapes, patterns along with closeups of the band. Even far away by the Coffee Bar, relaxing on our inflatable one person sofas, the sound was clear and the show was weekend headliner quality. We’re big fans now.
Back in 2015 was my first Pretty Lights show at Camp Bisco. I have now been to 19 sets and have #20 & #21 coming up in August. What these guys do on stage is unlike anything I've ever seen before, and I think history will treat Pretty Lights as one of the greatest acts electronic music has ever seen, similar to the Grateful Dead legacy. I truthfully don't think there are another 5 humans on the planet that can do what they're doing to the extent they're doing it. They've been putting on 3-4 hour long shows PER NIGHT on their tour (no openers).
And as someone with a heavy art background I can't say how much I appreciate the visual show they put on. It's truly one of the greatest Audio/Visual experiences one could attend in my opinion. Welcome to the Pretty Lights Family 🌀
Jesus Fuck, what a spectacular show.
I knew they deserved my utmost respect, but holy hell I was not prepared for that. In my now 6 years it's definitely one of my top shows on main stage, up there with TOOL
Saw it out of curiosity for the first time, and I’m ready to push myself for their sunrise set because it was so amazing. Even not being in the pit, the energy was awesome.
Bridgerino III just doing his swirly thing. Twitch chat agreed that Bonnaroo passed the vibe check. Really blew the doors off there for a Thursday night performance 🧙🏻♂️🔮🌀
First experience. I cannot even comprehend what I saw. I feel like a PL super fan now. Craziest drops, craziest vibes, beyond impressive musicianship, the pretty lights and visuals (ha). I will be seeing them again…I wanna get swirled
Was a casual listener after adding them to my Roo playlist but will definitely be going to see them again whenever they’re close to me at home, my boyfriend says they’re his new favorite 🤣
Yassssss! This is part of his second tour after a five-year hiatus. It’s a truly magical time for long time fans and I am genuinely so heartwarmed to see him back with Menert and the boys gaining new fans and feeling the love!
I’m so glad he’s doing better. He’s an absolute genius. I was really worried about him after color map of the sun documentary. Even though that is one of the best docs ever, I could tell he was struggling.
Yeah, I’ve been a fan for a long time and what he and the team were doing before the hiatus was great. But after catching last year’s tour, I really believe they are pushing the boundaries of what it means to do a live electronic music performance in terms of improvisation and live jamming / live music production. It is an act that is on a truly elevated plane
It’s so cool because you can tell this is what he was trying to capture with the previous iterations of the live bands, but they never fully got it. They’ve reach it now and it’s some of the best stuff out there.
I’ve also heard he caught Phish a few times during his hiatus and that was a big catapult for the vision they currently have
The lighting director, Greg Ellis (Lazershark), is one of the biggest Phish phans on the planet, and Chris Kuroda is the reason he's in the business of lighting. Last year they planned the break in tour around Phish tour so Greg could catch his 200th show in Nashville.
Love Lazershark. He did STS9 lights for a show in Chicago a few years back. It’s crazy how different lights can be the for the same band but just a different director
Yeah that drum solo if we can call it that left my brain on the floor. Can’t wait to go back and watch the stream to figure out what was going on there
You can listen to all of the stops from this tour and last years tour on SoundCloud if you search for pretty lights live. You can also watch all of their streams through prettynights.com
The whole band DID play, just not the whole time. And Derek playing solo, and as a duo with Michal again is some of the most special stuff we've seen since the comeback began. It's ok that someone was wrong on the internet in lieu of something even better
I Know The Truth has been playing in my head all weekend after that fuckery Pretty Lights pulled on Thursday
That was my third time seeing PL and it was fucking MAGIC. It used to be just him on the stage and it was like 5-6 mufuckin magicians up there!!! I thought ooahh was up there for a sec but I was mistaken

I saw Pretty Lights in 2011 drop I know the Truth at Bonnaroo and when he played it last night it was EPIC!
Knew he would bring that song back! His drop of it in 2011 was next level. I watched it on YouTube after it was posted and had immediate fomo all the way back then haha
First time, and I was LIVINGG. I listen to his stuff passively but actually wow.
It not his stuff it's THEM
Totally my fault, their stuff was incredible!! Had me going off.
Damn. These comments are giving me major FOMO. Listed to the set today and it it was of my favorites from the comeback so far.
Some of my favorite PL beats I dropped some flows over back in 2016 https://on.soundcloud.com/AmbV2PYRhAi4dCvdA https://on.soundcloud.com/YpL3fiWbw5H5fxfD9 Can’t wait for a new album to drop so I can remix some new stuff 😍

He is more then a DJ now it's a band if you want a hip hop DJ I think of Tape B or Diplo
Me! Amazing set
Oh man what a treat. Long time fan, just never able to catch them. So glad it happened hear. Can’t wait for sunrise set!
Saw them at hangout in 2014(15?) and again tonight on that stage was amazing. It’s wild how big and better his shows have gotten
Thursday main stage show needs to be a regular thing now
They may be the best act on the bill.
I didn’t know pretty lights before this and I still don’t but may need to find the energy for the sunrise set ig based on all these posts!
Did you make it to the sunrise set???
Consider yourself lucky! I can only imagine seeing PL for my first time ever and at roo. If I were you I would catch the sunrise set and be ready to get blown away. Wish I were in your shoes. Have a blast my friend!
First time seeing… blew me away! 10/10
I saw him back in 2016 and he’s BETTER THAN EVER omg
First time I saw him was performing with drummer Cory Eberhard. It was at nocturnal in CA if I remember correctly. I make hip hop and stumbled into this warehouse with this DJ playing chopping up the sickest samples over live drums. In the moment I knew I was witnessing someone special and forever have been a super fan
Derick solo was good but the live band is a completely different animal.
Phenomenal set! One of the DJ’s played guitar while DJ’ing, we’d never seen that before. They are the fucking best
I don't know what I thought it ever could have been, but whatever it was was the coolest shit ever. Incredible welcoming in 🤣
This was my 21st Pretty Lights and this made me smile so big because he still makes me feel this way! Welcome to the Swirlbridge
Pretty Lights has owned my wallet since the return from hiatus. Honestly can't think of anywhere I'd rather spend the money 🌀🌉
Same and I don’t plan on stopping. We’ve just turned the stops we hit into vacation
Jesus Fuck, what a spectacular show. I knew they deserved my utmost respect, but holy hell I was not prepared for that. In my now 6 years it's definitely one of my top shows on main stage, up there with TOOL
First time. Awesome set. Looking forward to the sunrise set.
First time seeing them live. Sooooo different than streaming vibes!
This. This so damn much.
12/10 blown away
Saw it out of curiosity for the first time, and I’m ready to push myself for their sunrise set because it was so amazing. Even not being in the pit, the energy was awesome.
First time, long overdue. All aboard the swirl train. Magical
This was my first time hearing them live. Listened from camp, lucked out on spot. Going to see at the sunrise set.
First time for me and Holy shit batman that was a core memory
Me and one of the most incredible shows I’ve ever seen (and was sober)
Yellowbirds unite! 🐤🐤🐤 (a PL sober group)
Set the bar extremely high for the rest of the festival!
I watched a man listen to Prophet for the first time and he left this mortal coil I fear
😅🤣
Bridgerino III just doing his swirly thing. Twitch chat agreed that Bonnaroo passed the vibe check. Really blew the doors off there for a Thursday night performance 🧙🏻♂️🔮🌀
First experience. I cannot even comprehend what I saw. I feel like a PL super fan now. Craziest drops, craziest vibes, beyond impressive musicianship, the pretty lights and visuals (ha). I will be seeing them again…I wanna get swirled
If you wanna hang out with more super fans, the Pretty Lights Discord is your home
Oh dope, didn't know there was one. Gotta link?
https://discord.gg/prettylightsfamily
One of the best shows I’ve ever seen, 100000000000/10
I cried for the first 15 minutes
Welcome all new Fam, all aboard the swirlbridge
Welcome to the next level!
1st time. Amazing!!! I get it now…
Fucking diabolical!! Definitely hitting up the sunrise set even if it’s just for a little bit
Holy shit they ATE
First time for me it was magical! Color of My Soul drum solo was everything😍 I Know the Truth just ripped my face off
First timer, oh my fucking god that was an incredible show! I’m old and I had no plans to see a sunrise set until they melted my face off.
My whole groups first time. Everyone absolutely loved it.
me!!! it was so fun!!!
I don’t think I’ve ever had such a great intro night at roo. Can’t wait to do it all over again tomorrow!!
12 years and I can no doubt say that was the best first night of my years. Zz Ward, Ty Segall and Pusha T in 2014 is a close 2nd
First time seeing PL since Derek got clean and yeah dude. So good.
i’d like to think PL gained 10’s of thousands of new fans last night
Dude was huge over a decade + ago, took a hiatus and is having one of the most spectacular comebacks of all time
Was a casual listener after adding them to my Roo playlist but will definitely be going to see them again whenever they’re close to me at home, my boyfriend says they’re his new favorite 🤣
Welcome to the fucking show. So glad you enjoyed it!

My first time and now I see what the hype is about.
had only heard one song by them, and not even much of an EDM guy, but that set was incredible.
They have formed into a modern day electronic jam band. People are witnessing greatness that will be VERY hard to replicate. No pre-recorded bullshit.
Yeah, I’ve been a fan for a long time and what he and the team were doing before the hiatus was great. Hell yeah, I had no idea about that.
Love Lazershark. He did STS9 lights for a show in Chicago a few years back. It’s crazy how different lights can be the for the same band but just a different director
He was also Daily Bread's lighting guy until PL return
Watching PLL remix PL and jam to it is musical nirvana and I could not ask for more
I did! It was epic! That drum solo reshaped my soul lol. There's nothing like that you can look up on Spotify. 100% happy to see it live.
Yeah that drum solo if we can call it that left my brain on the floor. Can’t wait to go back and watch the stream to figure out what was going on there
Youtube hammyt channel has all the streams recorded
You can listen to all of the stops from this tour and last years tour on SoundCloud if you search for pretty lights live. You can also watch all of their streams through prettynights.com
The GOAT hammyt also has all of the stream replays on YouTube
They are also all archived on the shows on their Twitch channel too for FREE NINETY NINE!
I think they pull each show from twitch after a certain amount of time. But both of the options listed above are free as well
They get posted on Youtube as well
Hammyt88 is the account that puts them all on YouTube. Already has the stream from last night up there. Dudes a legend
hammy is a real one
I know Twitch rules for Partners are 90 days. Didn’t know if it applied to super verified accounts
You can't even subscribe on their twitch so the vods don't stay up for more than 2 weeks or so I think
Oooooh I never even realized that
That thought didn't even occur to me, thanks!!! HAPPY ROOOOOO
Me! I’ve been a long time listener. Live band blew my fucking mind last night. I’ll be picking up the pieces of my brain the rest of the weekend
Incredible, in fact all of last night was.
Don't miss the sunrise set. Derick solo was good but this current version of PL Live is on another level.
I hope it’s a PL Live set on Saturday. I do have it planned as to how I can stay awake for at least an hour of it
I got prescriptions to help keep anyone awake if you need help
![gif](giphy|YS8c0Z7in21AM4A2AR|downsized)
It’s the band. Take your coke so you can be there the whole time
Red bull has even more caffeine than coke!
Oh fuck, you’re right!
![gif](giphy|YS8c0Z7in21AM4A2AR|downsized)
Stay swirly my friend!
Will the sunrise set be full band again?
They’re only performing as full band for forseeable future
This didn’t age well
The whole band DID play, just not the whole time. And Derek playing solo, and as a duo with Michal again is some of the most special stuff we've seen since the comeback began. It's ok that someone was wrong on the internet in lieu of something even better
The whole band was there. Just sounded a bit different with a different set up.
yes
Fuck yes.
I will not be missing a second of it!!!
First time and it was absolutely amazing 11/10
