Considering Fury straight up clinched his coach during the open workout and was clinching in that spar that he got cut in. I wouldn't be surprised if this fight is ruined.

Virtual-Debt-562

I mean that is a great tactic to tire Usyk but really annoying to watch

[deleted]

Tyson Fury main way to win is jabbing off back foot in a snoozer cause Uysk doesn’t have explosiveness to close gap. If Fury comes to fight him he’ll play into Uysks hands. It’s either run off back foot or heavy clinch and stall / fight dirty. Only way Fury can win

brazilianfreak

I disagree that Usyk can't close the gap, that's all he's been doing in his entire HW run, he might not be super explosive like Mike Tyson, but he's really fast and has the head movement to get mid range, make his opponent miss, throw feints and then land, sure Tyson is bigger than anyone Usyk has fought but I feel like the height difference is getting way too exaggerated, there's like a 5 inches height difference here and we've seen way bigger discrepancies than that in boxing, hell we've seen smaller fighters than Usyk reliably land on Fury.

shadowboxingboi

I think this is thee popular opinion

PenisManNumberOne

The expression sit on a punch lowkey freaky af

floydwhittaker

I don’t think so. Both don’t have a lot of power, they won’t be scared to open up. Also the way usyk fights no way it’s gon be boring . Usyk is all about volume, he is not a outboxer. He is not a defensive genius . His main gameplan is to just outwork you.

GBV_GBV_GBV

Would not be surprising. Fury v. Wilder was exciting just because it was two huge guys throwing haymakers, and you knew that Wilder could put Fury down at any moment. Not so with Usyk.

arkoangemeter

It will be a boring snoozefest with split decision to set up a trilogy.

TheDangerdog

100% this. I like the new kronk Fury but this is a fight where none of that will matter. If he tries to plant his feet and sit down on his punches Usyk would embarrass him so he's not gonna try it. Both guys are gonna be focused on movement and scoring points because both know they aren't gonna knock out the other man under any circumstances. Gonna look like an ammy match where two guys just trying to score touches to sway the judges. I'll watch for sure and be genuinely happy for whoever wins but I def don't expect an exciting fight at all.

[deleted]

If he try’s to fight Usyk kronk styke he will lose and lose badly. Besides the holding part, he’s not fast enough to trade mid range or up close

brazilianfreak

I think Fury will be able to win a few rounds pushing Usyk around but I don't think it will be enough for him to win the fight, Fury was able to do this against plodding fighters like Wilder who had no way of countering Fury at all and just let themselves be cliched with no resistance, Usyk is going to be constantly moving, and throwing punches and if Fury tries to get sloppy with clinching he might just get out on his ass with a counter.

LexOvi

Kronk Fury probably died in the round Ngannou dropped him in. We saw classic Fury return straight after, and I think he’s here to stay.

TheDangerdog

Does he even still work with SugarHill Steward? I didn't know if they parted ways or were still together

BeastsMode69

Seeing how Sugarhill was at the presser yesterday, they certainly still work together. An interesting thing is Fury did drop his nutritionist and switched to the one he had when Ben Davis was his coach.

TheDangerdog

Ah thanks I didn't watch the pressers

durk_g44285

Only to the normies. A lot of us will enjoy the chess match. I expect it to be “boring”.

Virtual-Debt-562

Fair enough and that’s your opinion

durk_g44285

Your post didn’t age well brother

Virtual-Debt-562

Neither did yours lol. I predicted a a draw or narrow points win. Was bang on the money lol

durk_g44285

Fair point, glad we were wrong, hope you enjoyed today 🍻

arkoangemeter

Don't act like you want to see 12 rounds of hugging with a low strike count, that's the absolute worst outcome of any boxing match.

durk_g44285

Never said I wanted to see that

harzee

100% snooze fest on the way

Badguyy101

Fury will start losing and after failing to foul Usyk, he will take a page out of Tyson's book and bite his ear.

KimWexlersGoldenArch

I’m leaning towards Usyk.

realisticallygrammat

I seriously think this fight will feature either multiple knockdowns of Fury or his eventual loss by ko or tko. Usyk getting low and fighting like Mike Tyson and also being southpaw is going to cause nightmares for Fury.

Phorskin-Brah

This comment may age like a fine milk but I think the last 4 rounds are going to be great. One of them is bound to be behind on the cards by round 9 and be forced to kick it up a gear

putiton94

Yeah and there will a lot clinching from fury

Smart_Impression_680

yeah. fury came in lighter for the sole purpose of dancing around like he did against Klitschko.

Mackerel_Skies

Clinching might work with Usyk, but Joshua more than handled Ngannou's strength - something Fury visibly struggled with. In the eventual Fury vs Joshua, Fury won't be able to bully Joshua.
