Yeah but to get a score remotely good you have to play the race a ton of times and get a lot of practice, so one a day doesn’t help much and 90 mm build up really quick
It's more than once a day, it's every 3 hours. And I've got 3:45 on the current one, which is more than just remotely good. Unless I wanna push for top 100, I don't really need to use monkey money.
But my point is that they are very short and not very fun unless you can play them a bunch and get better. Every three hours almost resets your progress on improving, since a lot of races is a bit of muscle memory from playing it a lot. So they just aren’t fun or worth it when you can only realistically play 6 a day
people like races and some tower changes are even slightly focused around them sometimes (like lowering high/infinite pierce towers)
i personally cant stand them and think theyre really unfun and boring but i can get why people might like em and i feel like messing with them has a chance to polarize its fans (assuming race fans even want many changes at all)
except the achievements change those they blow
how is there still not an option to use monkey money instead of a race pass? ever since race passes were added i’ve actually been playing them less bc i don’t wanna commit a whole free race pass to it bc i’m not that good

They already done it... Every now and then there's a race that allow farm which give you a very low time

By sending a lot of rounds you get all of the money from those rounds in one go.

Usually involves something like a glaive lord for the normal bloons and the likes of tsar bomba for all the Moabs
Glaive lord got pierce nerfed a few updates back, so it might not be the best call anymore especially when you send 40+ rounds at once.

And that you need to pay mk to play. As another commenter said, there should be practice races that are free and unranked

Muscle memory if you wanna score top 100, sure. But for a general audience, I think the restrictions make it easier to participate in the competition.
Let you play races with monkey money if you still have race pass
pracitce races, put our own restrictions and stuff since a lot of ct races are kind of mid and you only do like 10 a day at max
It would be cool if you could go into any map and play race mode, kinda like what you can do with bosses. Being able to set records and such.

Race Passes are still forced on the player. I only want to use my Race Pass when I want to use them.
