I don't know about the prices because they may vary in different countries. However, I do recommend checking out Hardware Unboxed YouTube channel or their specialized Monitors Unboxed for more detailed recommendations. I'd personally recommend looking at: LG UltraGear series - LG literally produces IPS panels for pretty much everybody, and their own monitors have decent prices. AOC Gaming - this is taken from my experience watching Hardware Unboxed videos. Their monitors are of very affordable prices but high quality. GIGABYTE or MSI if you can afford them. They are both very good, but prices can be a bit more expensive.

illicITparameters

Not all Ultragear panels are the same. The cheaper ones have only OK-panels (my secondary display is a 32” LG UG 1440P 165hz) but because it’s on the cheaper end the colors arent as good as my primary Aorus FI32Q. MSI is very much the same. I will say, I’ve been deploying AOC screens in corporate environments for years and they just work.

Cautious_Village_823

I was just gonna comment nice to see AOC on here. For me, def a little cheaper "looking" often but honestly have dealt with their monitors in multiple setups for different types of people and they've all been happy for years, especially for the price usually.

REALswix

i was looking at 3 monitors tbh didnt find anything better since i dont know much about monitors and i found a benq mobiuz ex240n which seems pretty good, also a lg ultragear like u mentioned and a dell ips

nano_705

Make sure that they have the same specs. You don't normally have monitors at the same prices and of the same specs between the three makes you mentioned. The BenQ Mobiuz is all about performance, but it will have inferior panel with slightly lower color grades or something. The Dell monitor is likely to be a more expensive one compared to the other two if it has the same specs. If it's at the same price range, it should have lower specs. The LG UltraGear, as I use it, can be considered a bit bias, but I think they are at the sweet spot between price, performance, and display.

REALswix

im about performance and as colora as vibrant as possible

Adorable-Hyena-2965

Gigabyte and MSI are not expensive in my country Dominican Republic. Depends on the specs, i bought a MSI and the screen brightness is low, i trade it for a LG UltraGear

Adorable-Hyena-2965

I have LG UltraGear 4k 144hz 27 inch GN950-B

ExpoSmash

Do not listen to anyone else. This is the best monitor for your budget. AOC Q24G2A/BK

nzmvisesta

Yes, AOC is amazing, you should find a sub 200e 1080p 165hz ips, or around 250e 1440p 165 ips. These are the prices in my country, pretty much any other 1440p 165hz monitor is over 350e here, so AOC is by far the best option.

Soft_Concern3184

I have three of these screens loaded onto arm mounts. I bought in the UK for ~£189 each and they are excellent, especially for the price. There is downloadable software called G-Menu for configuration but I found I didn't need it as the settings on the monitor menus were quick and easy to configure too.

Neither_Map_5717

VA?

oliver957

If you have a gpu that can run 1440p id recommend saving 30-50€ on a 1440p monitor. It's are way better than 1080p and you will get a better experience. I've even seen some 1440p monitors at the 200€ or lower.

SjettepetJR

27" 1440p 165Hz IPS displays are going for ridiculously low prices while similar 1080p displays are still stuck at +-€180. It is truly the only sensible recommendation around €200.

clare416

I bought a 27" 1440p 165Hz for less than $200 local currency last year

Krejcimir

And yet again, as with every damn talk about games and fps.... Include the damn resolution, lol.

dastingo111

to be honest if u have 200 euro buy an LG or Samsung 144 hz with IPS. I bought asus tuf 165 hz and after 1 year of usage it has it's first black line on it and I wonder when I'm sending it back to warranty..

TuNisiAa_UwU

DO NOT GET A TN PANEL, i was curious about the low response but the viewing angle is terrible and the colours are ugly

Background-Ad7601

Where are you located ? Monitor prices vary greatly depending on country

TehEpicGuy101

If you want a 1440p monitor, then the Acer Nitro XV271U would be a great choice. I recently switched over to it and have been very satisfied with my decision.

A_DRONE

This is my new monitor (bought it like 2 months ago) and I’m loving it. Great pickup for sure!

MettySwinge

It's a little more, but I paid £220 for a Dell S3222DGM directly from Dell.

DumplingTree_

I use the S34 with an S27 next to it and have been very happy with them.

ShiiftyShift

MSI G274QPF is pretty good, goes on sale quite a lot these days too.

NotYourSonnyJim

This is the one I have too, because the recommended AOC was basically non-existant & I want something I can buy, not spend months tracking on websites. Been very happy with it so far.

ShiiftyShift

the 240hz version is even better, does cost about £100 more though. Its one of the more affordable 1440p monitors with good refresh rate, good colour spectrum and response times aint too bad either. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9LNwECZXEdg&t=769s hardware unboxed have some good videos about monitors

soundologist6

I've got a LG 32" 1440p 144hz Monitor and it's remarkable. The real estate is splendid and picture is fantastic.

Adorable-Hyena-2965

What model

soundologist6

Ultra Gear

rescotticchio

Buy a used one. Got a Samsung with those specs some months ago for like 120 euros

Adorable-Hyena-2965

Where you buy it

Reach4thelaser

Used 27gp850.

Huma188

Will your PC and Game be even able to generate 165Hz? I would stick to 1400p 27'' 144Hz... And many Game won't even reach that 144 frames ever or It doesnt make any sense...

REALswix

i have around 170-190 fps on the games i mainly play

Huma188

Have you tried 1440p? The bigger the resolution the lower the frames. You won't have any problem, but i can say that 27" IS Game changer. I played a lot with 1080 in 27" but 1440p was also a Game changer xD

Adorable-Hyena-2965

I got a 144hz 4k in Apex Legends i get 170-200 fps it drops and goes up, but in The Last of Us part 1 i get 85 fps

Adorable-Hyena-2965

Acrobatic-Nerve-2597

Lg ultragear by a mile

SjettepetJR

Get a 27" 1440p 120Hz+ IPS monitor, any one that is from a reputable brand and does not have bad reviews is good. I am not sure which country you are in, but in The Netherlands I found one for €199 on sale. You can also look at the online outlet pages of electronics stores for good deals. Those often note what happened to the product, which is often just an opened box or damaged packaging. I recommend this because with this class of monitor you really don't compromise on anything. Sharp, large, high refreshrate, good color and bright.

_Svelte_

koorui makes a fantastically cheap monitor, you have choices. 1080, 1440, 24", 27", ips tn or va, etc. you can find em on amazon n such, paid like $120 for my 27" ips 165hz 1080p.

Frigaaaa

Take care of your eyes! I have brought a nanoips monitor, is bad for sensitive eyes. Then degree of my glasses has deepened. At last I brought VA monitor it better for my eyes. Some monitors support to reduce blue light.

mattdean1003

I have an S3222DGM and it’s fantastic.

RightGuide1611

Koorui sells good stuff 1080p 165 for 120$

Everyone's recommending LG, the only LG monitor I got was dead on arrival, and I bought it instore. I'd recommend the ASUS VG259QM, I've been maining it for a long time and it's still my favorite monitor, 280hz and 0 problems. It goes for a little over 200 euros and if on sale around 150 euro.

Warm-Relationship732

Dell has a 1440p 165hz for 200$

triggerhappy5

r/buildapc is not great for monitors. A lot of misinformed/uninformed opinions here. You will get better answers at r/buildapcmonitors. That said, look at the price on the Dell G2724D, it's far above the competition and should be around your budget.

n_skii

I got a lenovo legion r27-i 30 for about £180 at around Christmas. its quite good 165hz ips 27 inch 1080p

YoshitsuneCr

Welp recently i buyed an Asus VG247Q1A (165hz) for 160$ on my country (Venezuela) very satisfied with it, i can bet its cheaper if you're from NA or EU.

ellimist87

msi G series is good, I still use my G241, never have issues

AccomplishedCoast728

If it’s for 1440p gaming, I just purchased an HP Omen 27q based on the same issue you’re having. Heard great things about it, so maybe you might be interested as well.

Ok-Breadfruit-4172

I think Acer Nitro QG240Y S3 23,8" - Gamescreen is good for you its have 180hz

Artistic_Comb_2174

just brought LG ultragear 165hz few days ago, it cost me around $107 and its actually pretty good.

Adorable-Hyena-2965

Which model

unlipoppers

Idk how much is odyssey g7 in your country. But it has 240hz and one of the best in terms of brightness, color vibrancy, ghosting and response time. Recommended for competitive gaming
